pork chile verde plate with rice and beans
    Jen P.

I ate here last week as part of a group of 7. With Fiesta's extensive menu, there was something for everyone. I ordered the pork chile verde. It was served with yellow/Mexican rice, refried beans, your choice of corn or flour tortillas (I got corn), and a generous portion of the chile verde. While not the best chile verde I have ever had, it was still enjoyable. Around the table folks got the carne asada, pollo asado, jalapeno stroganoff, and chile verde burrito and there was very little food left on plates at the end. Several of us also had margaritas - on the rocks and blended, all good. There aren't too many places to choose from in Mountain View, but Fiesta offers a wide variety of Mexican dishes and options for every palate and every food preference and sensitivity. I've already been there 3 times on past visits and will very likely eat there again next time too!

Complementary chips and salsa and a nice cold beer

Quick lunch stop in Mountain View on the way back from Manila. Hot chips, mild and bland salsa and a cold beer were waiting for me. I had my lunch plate in under 5 minutes. Menu was a bit pricey....Cheapest lunch special was $7.99. It was a typical plate with an enchilada and a taco, accompanied by the standard rice and beans. The taco was a hard shell taco. I didn't know people still ate these. The shredded chicken in the taco was very flavorful and moist (I tasted bay leaves in the marinade) and the pork chile verde in the enchilada was decent. Not too bad for a rural town with limited options.

Food is good and the staff is awesome. I like that they're in Mountain View now, it just sucks that Crazy 8 is gone though

Really great food, friendly staff and fast service. The place was very busy but that didn't seem to impede our service.

We found this restaurant thanks to Yelp, and we decided to check it out because of the reviews…read more On appearance, the restaurant seems to be in the middle of no where. It's located in a plaza and doesn't have the best outdoor appearance as some of the other places we've been to. Upon entering, it's a small place with a Mexican grocery store attached, which I'm assuming means that it's family owned. They had soft music playing, the decor wasn't that fantastic. We were greeted with cold chips and cold homemade salsa, which was in a container that we had to pour. The salsa was nice and cold with a good spicy kick to it. We're vegetarians so we asked the older lady there if they used animal fat in their beans, in which she replied that they did. She couldn't speak English that well, so we decided to ask another woman there, which I assume to be the daughter of the older woman. She then again said that they do, I asked her if she could make the refried beans without animal fat and she went back in the kitchen and sent her sister out, whom could speak proper English. I asked her and she clearly denied that they don't use animal fat and that the other two had difficulty speaking and understanding English. We went ahead and ordered a piña colada, which was probably the most amazing thing I've ever had in such a long time! It had the perfect blend of sweet coconut and pineapple juice. My favorite part was the three maraschino cherries on top, their juices combined with the piña colada was phenomenal. We ordered three cheese enchiladas which came with a side of rice, beans, and lettuce and tomato. When we got our order, it was covered in cheese. I love cheese, but this was too much. It looked like a blend of cheddar and mozzarella, I personally don't like too much cheddar in my Mexican food, I prefer monterrey. I took my first bite and I swear, I couldn't taste the sauce, the cheese, or the tortillas. I couldn't taste anything. There was no taste to the enchiladas. They seemed extremely bland. There was some additional sauce on the side, and I tried that, I couldn't make out the flavors. The only thing I tasted was burnt tomatoes. The rice was bland as well, which is a reoccurring problem I've noticed in Mexican restaurants. The beans did not taste like they were cooked in animal fat (we made sure before eating our food), and they were hearty, warm, but bland. All in all, everything except the salsa and the piña colada was bland. It wasn't that good, whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend this place to others, especially if you're a vegetarian. I've been to better Mexican restaurants, with better ambience and food. If you're in town and you're looking for a good piña colada, this is where you should go to get it. I had the non-alcoholic, but it was deliciously made.
