We came for breakfast on a Sunday morning and they were really busy. We got on the waiting list and then stood outside until they called our name. The seating is in one large room. We were seated at a table in far end of the room. Once seated it's hard to get in and out from the wall seat because the table are pretty close together. I ordered the Spinach, Mushroom and Swiss 4 Egg Omelet. They asked me if I wanted 2 or 4 eggs and I chose 4. As a substitute for the potatoes, I opted to choose the avocado which came as a slice 1/2 of avocado. For my toast option, I chose the single pancake, but could also have chosen a scone. The scone wasn't on the menu as a option, so I missed this when I ordered. My omelet was very flavorful, although a bit dense. I attributed that to the 4 eggs fitting into a 2 egg form factor, but I really don't know that for sure. The avocado was a good complement to the omelet and worked out very well. The pancake was delicious. There was syrup on the table and butter came on the plate. I gobbled it right down and thought that I maybe should have got another one. I have eaten here before when I was in the area, and will likely return again when up here. The busy nature of the restaurant is offset by the good quality food. read more

Wow. The place all the locals come to. From small groups to multi family groups. This is a hoping place. I was greeted and seated quickly. I felt bad about a single taking a 4 topper but the tables turn over quickly. Breakfast and lunch are served all day. Both have a lot of inexpensive choices. Somewhat overwhelming so I took the servers choice of sandwich. Turkey melt on sourdough. The sandwich was awesome. The service was great. I'd recommend as a stop. read more

This is a quality location close to I 80 and great access The place was very clean and well attended. My belief is the local community eats here (they all seem to know each other) The Food was great I ordered my usual chicken fried steak and medium cooked eggs The food came hot and quickly The eggs were definitely not medium (over easy is what they were) also missing was my jalapeño tobacco sauce. Lady that served was nice and gave solid suggestions, I had the mushroom Swiss burger, my dad got a smothered burrito oh my gosh it was gas loved it. GREAT COFFEE! One of the only places that coffee didn't disappoint, wanted strong coffee and got it . Food was beyond good, huge and great for pricing, was stacked full but we got our food way quick. Definitely coming back when I come around again! Cashier was cool too. Environment was crowded but oh well. read more

Ok I get it, it's a small diner in a small town. Could be or maybe was at one point something special. Well, not today. Service: For a minute felt like Dick's Last Resort or Ed Debevics; for those that know... Not sure if the waitress was having a bad day or getting close to closing time, but she was not the "friendly" diner type we were expecting and used to. The bare minimum here. Food: There were out of option 1 and 2 for my coworker, so he went with 3. I was ok with my chicken fried chicken and fries. The chicken was a bit overcooked, but ok. Overall: If you can make it to Park City heading west, just do that. If you are heading east, then worth a stop here, just keep expectations in check. read more

For a small, run-down-looking restaurant, Jody's Diner is surprisingly excellent! The Big Biscuit Breakfast features a chicken-fried steak sandwiched between a fresh buttermilk biscuit, covered in gravy, and served with two eggs over easy and hash browns. It was delicious! Their fresh-squeezed orange juice was also great. My wife really enjoyed her breakfast burrito, while the boys devoured their grilled cheese sandwiches, hand-cut French fries, and pancakes. Despite being very busy on a Sunday afternoon, our food was freshly prepared and served hot. While it may not look like much--it's a diner in a former gas station--the food was outstanding! They serve breakfast all day, making Jody's our new Bear Lake tradition on our drive home. read more

This review is not towards the diner but towards the very rude waitress. Stopped in Saturday night for dinner. After entering the diner with a Registered Service Animal we were setted in the far back corner and having to walk with the Animal through the other customers naturally the dog sniffing​ the air and people. (NEVER SNIFFING THE TABLES OR FOOD.) The waitress came over and stated the dog can't do that. Being very rude. Never once coming to take our order. We just sat there with water. After so long we walked out of the diner and never planning on going back. I did speak to the AM manager and she was very understanding. I'm not looking to bash on Jody's Diner, I would just like the waitress to have the knowledge when it comes to customers with service animals,and what she did is not acceptable, and against the law. Not LGBTQ friendly at all. If you complain about the long, long wait, or quality of the food: Which is very marginal, tiny portions, they attack you personally. They escorted, more like paraded, me out of the restaurant, telling me how awful I was (THEY'D probably USE HANDCUFFS IF THEY COULD ...YIKES). We had to go to Evanston on Sunday. The dining choices are limited but Jody's was open. It is in a converted Service Station. It felt like we were walking in from a Road trip in 1955. The food was delicious. We all had Chicken Fried Steak. My Mom and I are total special order and request type diners. They did all of our special requests despite being busy and with great service. It's so much cheaper than going out to eat in Salt Lake City too. Nothing on their menu is more than $12.99. Five people ate delicious food for $80.00. My husband said the food is so good and reasonably priced let's just drive up here three days a week and eat! Sounds good to me. I love Nostalgia and this was fitting in every way. read more

Stopped here because it was one of the few places open on a Sunday. It seemed very popular. There was a long wait. The restaurant is cute with lots of things to look at. I had the cheesesteak which was up to snuff, especially the beef tips. The fries were ok but kind of stringy and greasy. The wait was a bit long and the service perfunctory. Needing a place to stop between Bear Lake and SLC. Was breakfast time there seem to be one place at all the cars were going to this morning so we followed them. Breakfast Sandwich - 4 stars - very tasty. Greatly benefited from some hot sauce or syrup. Biscuits and gravy - 5 stars - we got a side order. It was big enough to share. Biscuit was really good. We eat at Jody's just about every Sunday. Come for the food, stay for the friendliest staff and local ambiance. Best breakfast in Evanston always. On Mother's Day they even had a Shrimp Louie salad with homemade Louie dressing that I still long for, maybe Jody will see this and bring it back. read more

I can understand why Jody's is always busy. The service is great and the food is too! I was a little surprised coming up the road. Coming from downtown, I could still see the old Conoco gas station sign. When you see a parking lot full of cars you are in the right place. I tried Jody's three times during the week and every trip was fantastic. The servers were all very friendly and great senses of humor. Check the special board on your way in. On our first visit there were fried pickles on the specials, they were perfectly battered and the dip was nice and tangy. The burgers were juicy and cooked well. The eggs and hash browns were all cooked exactly to order. The breakfast burritos are large, so bring your appetite. The only downside to Jody's is the flies, they are annoying. What an amazing place to breakfast in Evanston. This place is located off the exit 6. They also have parking for a big rig. They have probably best prices that I have ever seen. And the food is delicious. They have a big variety of foods to choose for breakfast so is for lunch. To be honest I keep coming back here simply because it's good. Food tastes like home food. Their eggs is obviously a farm grown. Because they taste different than any store eggs I've tried. Their mashed potatoes is amazing. I usually order it with a brown gravy. Coffee is very very delicious too. I would even say that's its even better than on pilot from those 2000.00 dollars machines About the parking you don't even have to worry about. They have about 8 parking parking semi trucks and whole bunch of parking spots for four wheelers. This restaurant is always packed. Again people wouldn't come back for bad food.
