We wanted to like this restaurant. Not a lot of choices around town. I ordered the chili verde burrito based on a recommendation here and was happy with it, but my husband and son really did not like their food. They ordered the flautas and some combo. Really good food and great service! Don't believe the bad reviews I was hesitant to try because of some of the reviews but glad we took a chance. Stopped on our way out of town for lunch on a business trip. The queso was amazing and provided with your chips and salsa. I ordered the enchiladas de la casa (not 100 on the name, but sounds right) they were delicious, the beans were actually really good, the rice wasn't anything amazing but still good with the rest of the dish. this was an out of body experience. i felt my soul get lifted out of my body and blessed by the heavens above. i've been away from home for a while and this is just what i needed to succeed in life. today marks the day ive found myself. the food tastes like the tears of a god and does not deserve the hate. though there was only 2 waiters they had amazing service and were so kind. the restaurant itself was very clean and very real and authentic and homey. i will never be the same. anyone that left a bad review on this restaurant doesn't know what real mexican food is and should be ashamed that they said it was bad and can count their days. you have been warned. i love it here. read more

I recently had an enjoyable late lunch here on a Tuesday. I was in town for business and after wrapping up meetings around 1:30, visited this place with my co-worker. I ordered the pork chile verde burrito, with a side of guacamole and chips. The burrito came with rice (very small-grain yellow/Mexican rice) and refried beans, was made with a flour tortilla, and was covered in melted white cheese. It was very good, though I did not eat the tortilla or cheese. The chile verde itself tasted great, was balanced and had lots of big chunks of pork inside. I really enjoyed it and would get it again. My co-worker was slightly disappointed in hers. She ordered a chicken burrito with a red sauce inside - also in a flour tortilla served with rice and beans - but she felt it was very dry. Service was very good with multiple people checking on us throughout our meal. The interior decor is bright, colorful and comfortable, and right as you walk in there's a big bar where you can sit for drinks. There's also plenty of free parking. Places where you can sit down and enjoy a tasty, hearty, warm, non-fast-food meal are hard to come by in Mountain View, and this place is my current favorite. The menu is large and the place is always busy too which makes me think I'm in good company. Definitely worth a stop when you are in town or passing through. read more

$45 for two plates. I don't understand how you can cook meat with onion and bell pepper and still not have any flavor. Rice was the same way completely bland. Salsa was good. Chips so so. The lady behind the counter had no problem talking trash about my husband to the other lady in Spanish in front of him. When he responded back in Spanish she got embarrassed and walked away. Never have been so disrespected in any restaurant. He should've just cancelled the order. Pizza would have been so much better. Or should I dare say even a tv dinner would have been better. I seriously don't understand the 5/5 star reviews. Starting to think they're all friends and family. This place was terrible. The service was rude and could care less about my experience. The fajita steak quesadilla I had was nasty. The steak was chewy and flavorless,the cheese was flavorless, the tortilla was greasy, the guacamole was rancid and same with the sour cream. The only decent thing was the rice and beans. I paid roughly $25 for rice and beans. If you're from out of town and looking for good food this is not the place. read more

I ate here on a busy Saturday night with two of my friends. Right when I sat down a young man brought me chips and salsa then took our drink order, he promptly brought the drinks out and was very respectful. After that another server came and took out order, she was also very respectful. I ordered the chile verde burrito and was very impressed. A few minutes after our food came out the young server checked up on us again and refilled our drinks. The paying process is completed at the front which I really like that way you don't have to wait for your check. The service and food were both 5/5. read more

The food was good. Not fantastic, but ok. The service is atrocious. We barely sat down, and the guy asked us what we wanted to drink. Before we could say anything, he just walked off. He finally came back with a basket of chips and some salsa, and we managed to get our drink order to him before he walked off again. A lady finally came over and took our order. When she brought a tiny Styrofoam cup of cheese dip and set it down, our chips were almost gone. No chip refill. Not even an offer. No offer to refill my grandson's water. No inquiries as to whether we needed anything else. There was no acknowledgment at all once our food was on the table. After we ate, we waited and waited for our ticket. We played an entire game of battleship while we waited for anyone to come over to the table. We finally gave up and just went to the counter. First guy was at the register. When I told him we never got our ticket, he punched a button on the register tore off the slip and said, "There." Then he printed the copy for me to sign and walked off again. Our waitress was standing there playing on her phone. I asked her if she wanted to take the signed copy, and she never looked up. I finally walked behind the counter, laid the ticket on the register, and heard a, "K thanks" as we walked out the door. Is their food good enough to deal with that? IMO no. But I don't live here, so I won't have to make that decision. read more

Great traditional Mexican food in a clean room, comfortable seating, nice pictures on the walls. The outdoor individual restrooms face the front. Our server has always been fast, courteous, and casual. There's enough variety in the menu without it being overwhelming. As a person of Hispanic origin, it's always a good sign when the staff of a Mexican restaurant is speaking Spanish. I had the triple molcajete, because I've never seen this on a menu. My friend was concerned for me choosing something containing seafood in it in a landlocked state, but I survived with no I'll effect. I was pleasently surprised with this dish. The best I could describe it is a chicken tortilla soup base with salsa with veggies, chicken, beef, shrimp, cheese, and a plate of rice and beans. I would order this again as would my girlfriend who tasted it. My GF ordered a beef fajita quesadilla which was massive and tasty. Our friend had the carne asada plate, which was reasonably seasoned. His only complaint was that perhaps the cut of meat was a bit thin, but that is the traditional asada cut which we don't get to often at home nowadays. If in town and want Mexican food this is pretty good, and this is coming from 3 southern Californians who grew up in heavily Hispanic neighborhoods. read more

Wow. Amazing Mexican food. I had a chili Verde and chile Relleno. First I have to say I have never had chili verde, its green chili and pork cooked with onions and peppers. Very good. The chili Relleno was great. Loved the warm chips and great salsa when you first sit down. Had the mochachete last visit and it was fantastic. This is a must go to when in Kemmerer. read more

LESS THAN 1 STAR!!!!!!!! 1st time there I tried their Chile Verde; do not make this mistake. I realize I am not in California, but this is atrocious. Bits of hard pork in runny green sauce that lacks in flavor. Being in Kemmerer and not having many options for dining, and I was sick of cooking, I ventured there again last night for some hard tacos. How could this go wrong? I will tell you. I order two hard tacos with rice and beans and two carne asada street tacos. I am told 15 minutes. Okay. A half an hour later I finally get my to go order. It takes me 3 minutes to get home. Food is cold. In the to go Styrofoam container they only filled half the spaces with the rice and beans. A very meager portion. They do not even make their own taco shells. I think they are Old El Paso shells. The tacos are not even full. More meager portions. The poor quality of the food coupled with a half an hour wait was insult to injury. The street tacos were pretty good. Maybe I will just go to Taco Time down the street. Something is SERIOUSLY wrong with anyone that gave a positive review. read more

I stopped in to this place last summer and i have to say I was more than impressed with the quality and freshness of their food. As soon as my wife and I pulled up the waft of the joint lured us in... smoky and delicious to the core! We got some enchiladas and burritos to go... sabrosa... I'm a transplanted New Mexican that currently lives in California and this place is the real deal man... Headed to Colorado from Wyoming we needed a place to stop for dinner and based on the good yelp reviews we stopped here. It was Thursday night just before seven and the restaurant was packed!! We only waited a couple of minutes for them to clean a table, and then we waited a bit longer to be given our menus and chips and salsa. Chips were o.k., nothing special, salsa was pretty good. Hubby and I both ordered burritos, I got the fajita and hubs got the carne asada. Kids each got quesadillas. Food came out promptly and hot. Everything was flavored well and tasty. The burritos were huge, consider sharing. The only downside was the service. Even though they were busy they didn't check back on us, and they never refilled our drinks. This is a problem when you're eating spicy food. If you're in Kemmerer this place is tasty, just try and avoid the dinner time rush for better service. read more
