The District is an outdoor mall area that has a number of smaller shops, eateries and a Harkins Theatre. I live just miles from this area and make several stops here each week. I mostly come here to go to the movies or to the bookstore. Coming to Tempe Marketplace makes for a nice day and I enjoy all of the services that they have to offer. One of my favorite things about the District area is that they will decorate for the holidays. During Christmas, they will set up a very large Christmas tree and hang lights up all over the walking areas. They have showcased art exhibits like floating umbrellas during the summer months to draw in people. The District also has a stage where they will have live music and at times will host concerts. There are splash pads for the kids to enjoy when it gets hot out and fireplaces for the colder evenings. I have even done a one mile Kilt run through the District. It is nice that going to the mall has evolved to more than just shopping and has lots more to offer.

Located in Tempe they have so many options for food as well as entertainment. They even have a Best Buy and Target nearby in case you need more to shop for. Within minutes you can drive down to Tempe Town Lake or even downtown Tempe. There's plenty to do in that whole area. I always love visiting and exploring all the shops. They have a Barnes and Nobles, Hot Topic, Spencer's, Harkin Theatres, Genghis Grill, Smash Burger, and so much more. What can I say, they got me hooked. I'll definitely be returning!

I gave Arizona Mills a four because there's so much to do at this mall. There is also an arcade and a carousel in the middle of the mall today they had free interactions with the Easter bunny, and you can take pictures for purchase. They do have nice bathrooms, including the family bathroom however it was locked so you do have to call security to have them come unlock it for you, but someone was there in a matter of minutes. It wasn't dirty, but it could have been cleaner. I also have heard it can get a little bit rough here at night time, but I did not experience that while here around 10 AM to noon on a Saturday.

It's a fun place for kids as they also have the Legoland Discovery Center, Sea Life Arizona Aquarium, Tilt Studio- 40,000 sq ft arcade with more than 150 arcade and video games as well as laser tag and virtual reality experiences. Also, the Rainforest Cafe is always a fun place to eat and shop. The carousel seems to be pretty popular every time I've been here. The one thing I found kinda strange is that they don't have a Panda Express here, haha! I think it's like the only mall I've been to without Panda. Other than that, they have a lot of the typical mall eateries like Auntie Anne's Pretzels, Cinnabon, Dairy Queen, Haagen-Dazs, Sbarro, and Wetzel's Pretzels. They're open everyday from 9AM and is one mile from start to end so it's a great place to get some steps and stay cool during the hot summer months!

The pricing varies on the days of the week I love Tuesday (all items $1) and Wednesday (all items $0.50). I have scored some unbelievable deals shopping at Bargain Bins. I'll be a forever customer.

I had heard about this place because of an Instagram post from a local Arizona influencer that…read morefound its way into my feed. I made a mental note of the location because it turned out to be a new store in the same shopping center as Baiz Fresh Foods in Mesa because I shop there occasionally. The next time I made my pilgrimage to Baiz to pickup ground lamb, I investigated this newest neighbor. BTW, the shopping center is located at the NE corner of S Dobson Rd and W Baseline Rd. The day I visited was a Saturday, so everything was priced at $7. My shopping companion and I couldn't resist sifting through the piles of stuff in bins that ranged from kids' toys to bedsheets to random returns and overstocked thingamabobs. I did accidentally get slimed from a partly open bottle of moisturizing cream (I hope... yikes!), but managed to wipe myself off and continue rummaging. I ended up buying what I thought was quite a gem of a find... five tiny disco balls (with a spool of fishing line for hanging included)! My buddy found collapsible paper lanterns that look like wasp's nests. I didn't know what they were, but he explained that they were decoys to dissuade wasps from setting up camp on your property (think "scarecrows"... but for wasps). This was an appropriate gift for a family member that recently had some issues with wasps continually landing in their backyard swimming pool. Anyhow, when we checked out we chatted with the clerk and found out more about the store. The pricing scheme is thus: Sunday $5, Monday $3, Tuesday $1(!), Wednesday $0.50, Thursday - closed for restocking, Friday $15, Saturday $7. You'll want to pay attention to opening hours on the cheapest days because we were told that quite a few people show up early to get in line. Even though Wednesday is the cheapest day (at a mere 50 cents), we were told that the inventory is pretty slim pickin's. Tuesday morning may be your sweet spot (1 buckaroo!), but you're probably gonna want to get there before open at 9 a.m. Happy hunting baragain-seekers!
