My first time visiting this Fiesta winery location, and my first time trying their wines in about 9 years. The location is big and very picturesque. They have a lot of wines to try, so there's something for everyone. Some were good wines. Some, not to my personal taste, but I enjoyed trying them, regardless. It made for a fun afternoon. We really enjoyed our afternoon here at the winery. There's a terrific selection of dry to sweet offerings to choose from. I strongly suggest a wine tasting. The patio is very lovely and comfortable. The views are beautiful.  Inside, you are surrounded by their wines, bar, and bright windows. They have nice menu offerings: chips, queso, salsa, pizza with balsamic vinegar, and more. The grounds are truly beautiful. It's wonderful to walk around and see the plants, games,  and koi pond. read more

The indoor and outdoor seating areas are phenomenal with views of the vineyard. Live music was a wonderful plus as well. So impressed with the entirety of the operation, we also became members. After hiking for two hours in 105 degrees heat at Colorado Bend State Park, I was starving and a little dehydrated. It was just my brother and I, we both were extremely sweaty when we walked in. Despite that, we were greeted and welcomed in a fully air conditioned winery. There were a few tables available and a very charming lady named La Donna. She was by far the best waitress. My brother and I settled on the wine tasting for $12, also got two small pizzas. We sampled six wines, mostly sweet wines and only two dries for my brother. Tempranillo, Savannah rose, Back porch sitting, Happy trails, Texas summer night, and country road. My three favorites were: Happy trails (HT), back porch sitting (BPS), Savannah rose (SR). HT was the sweetest for my liking, with a hint of peaches. It tasted like I was just drinking peach juice with a little amount of alcohol. BPS was delicious because it reminded me of eating berry cobbler. This had more alcohol, but it was leveled out evenly. SR was recommended by a lady at another table. So, I gave it a try and I wasn't disappointed. I loved the taste and smell. Now, TX summer night, Tempranillo, and Country road were just ok. My brother mostly enjoyed the Tempranillo and country road since those were dry and spicy. For the pizzas, we weren't expecting them to seem like two big larges. They were huge. I just wonder what a large looks like. I absolutely loved the vineyard pizza. It was the best and it paired very well with my favorite wine: happy trails. I loved that every bite was packed with flavor. From the caramelized pears, cheese, onions, and thick crust. It washed the alcohol down perfectly, but left me very sleepy. I really wanted to try the dessert wines, but I'll try em next time. Fiesta Winery has three locations: two in Frederickburg and this one in Lometa. This winery was my first and I loved how Mrs. La Donna took the time to explain the different wines. Prior to coming here, the only wine I sampled was moscato. I didn't know about the different kinds like Merlot, port, Pinot, and such. On our way checking out, we sampled more wines such as Lime in the coconut canned wine. It was tasty. My brother was trying to figure out which bottle he wanted to buy. My mistake was not buying my favorite bottle and now I've suffered from lost memories and fond dreams of this delicious pizza and wine. I love this place. I have been a wine club member for years! These sweet wines are my favorites: Happy Trails, Southern Sparkle (bubbly), Texas Summer Nights. I can't dry wine and not feel like I am going to get bass in my chest but these are the one my hardcore aunt likes: Tempranillo, Mourvèdre, Viognier. The Winery on 290 is the one I've visited the most. Great outside sitting area, even in the hot of summer it's pretty great. Erin is the staff member that has been the best and most patient during tastings. No matter crowed size, she is bright, cheerful, thoughtful when answering question and matching people to wine they should taste. read more

We are members of Harvest Host and stayed one night at Fiesta Winery in our new travel trailer. They were very welcoming, coming out to show us where to park. There was plenty of land for our dog, Bailey, to run but there were a lot of those little bur thingies all over so I was picking them out of her feet. She learned quickly to stay on the dirt road and not run in the field! She made a friend with one other campers dog. We tasted many different yummy wines and bought a few bottles. All in all this was a beautiful place to stay. There was a large area in the bag to enjoy a bottle of wine and watch the beautiful Texas sunset! read more

Came out this afternoon with my husband and best friends. I'm the only one that has ever been, which totally shocked me. We had such a nice relaxing time! We did the wine tasting, which is a must!! 6 wine samples for $12 and you get a wine glass. We loved getting to sample so many of them and we chose different ones so we got lots of feedback. We ended up buying a bottle and got wine slushes to drink while we hung out on the covered outdoor patio and enjoyed the breeze and majestic views! It's so beautiful out there. The hostess was great and answered all our questions and told us her favorite wine when we had a hard time choosing what to get. read more

We quite literally stumbled upon this place. We had just finished up tastings at two other wineries nearby close to 5pm and were headed on towards the final big name destination on our list fearing they'd close before we made it. Lo and behold, halfway there we pass Fiesta Winery. It's well-marked on a well-maintained county road; you won't kill the suspension on your econobox trying to get to it. We decided to skip the last one and see if Fiesta was still taking folks in for tastings. There's a great laid-back, welcoming atmosphere at Fiesta. The owner and his son were manning the tasting room and they made us feel right at home. We never felt rushed, never felt like we were being forced to buy a glass or bottle, and the owner was both generous with pours as well as offered us an extra tasting or two. Tastings were $5 for 5 official pours at this time of writing and free with a bottle purchase. As for the wine, it's mostly sweet wines, but there are some drier reds available. Most of their grapes are brought in, but they are working on growing their own. I enjoyed Back Porch and Heart of Texas Red the most, but actually wound up buying their sweet and citrusy FiestaRita to enjoy at a future gathering. Am thinking a shot of sparkling water and that wine would make one hell of a spritzer. Tasting room was lovely and had an authentic ranch feel to it (I believe the owner had converted an existing building on his very real ranch for it). If I wasn't already near my limit on drinking, I would absolutely want to buy a bottle, order some nibbles, and hang out on that big patio of theirs. read more

Although I love this place and their dry reds. I was really disappointed this year with the sweet dreams. Last year I bought 15 bottles to last me the year. I only have 2 left!! Spent the day out at the tasting room and picked up 2 bottles of thIs years sweet dreams (this is the only sweet red I like) opened it last night and it was very light in color and watered down tasting from last year. Im oh so disappointed. Guess I'll have to wait till next year and hope it's better. I will definitely be back out for my dry reds though. read more

We stopped by this winery on our way to Colorado Bend State Park. I'm so glad we stopped. We were greeted by Sandy the sommelier who was absolutely fabulous, welcoming, and just lovely. We enjoyed the cheese plate and the wine tasting. Sandy recommended several wines and we loved them ALL. Of course we loved some more than others, but overall each wine truly was unique. Each wine has a distinct bouquet that introduces the taste. Btw, Sandy even brought us some chocolates to compliment one of the wines that had a chocolate infusion. Omg it was absolutely delicious. The patio is soooooo beautiful, it overlooks the vineyard and makes for a very beautiful and relaxing afternoon. Wally, the vineyard doggy is so cool. He arrived there as a pup and has made himself a wonderful life. He came over and sat at our feet until we snuck a few pieces a cheese from our plate and fed him. Apparently he's developed a bit of a palate for the finer things because while he would eat the truffle cheese and prosciutto he wouldn't touch the crackers. We ended up purchasing a bottle and we plan to come back on April 16 when they'll have a quarterly fun festival. I recommend this place...it's a definite stop for a weekend trip. read more

We stopped by the Bend location on Mother's Day during a long motorcycle trip. We passed the sign on FM 580 and turned around. Who cannot resist a wine tasting on the back roads of Texas? Fiesta Winery offers a verity of seating locations. One can sit inside with AC, outside under a roof or outside under some massive oak trees. We decided to sit outside under the roof because it offered some shelter from the wind. The decor is very beautiful and the tables and benches are very unique. The bathroom inside the wine tasting room was built using the old ranch outhouse which was very cool. I think Fiesta Winery offers over 20 wines which is a huge selection compared to the other wineries in Texas. I do agree that their wines are sweeter than most wineries, but this did not bother me since I am a semi dry / semi sweet wine drinker. The dry wine lovers may find this to be a disappointment. I only buy wines I would drink at the house. Buying a wine at a winery out of obligation is just crazy. We ended up buying the Lone Star Lime for pairing with Mexican food and the Texas Country Road for standalone wine drinking. The Texas Country Road did not survive the day. We were satisfied with the service. The server had to walk back and forth from inside for each of our samples. This caused our pouring to be slower than most other wineries I have visited, but I was there to relax and soak in the view. I am interested to see how Fiesta Wines are priced at stores vs at the winery. We found 2 labels at HEB that were closer to the club member price. The next time I am in Spec's, I will see if there is a wider variety of Fiesta Wines and better pricing. Bottom line: I will gladly stop by for another tasting the next time I am on FM 580. read more

fiesta is tucked away in the middle of no where but do yourself the favor of finding this place! they have a yelp check in offer. and reallllllly good wine! cool artwork on the bottles. we got the nickel tour of the winery and thats all the basic stuff. these cheese plate was gigantic with salami pepperoni turkey olives walnuts almonds and dried cranberries with like 4 types of cheese! our friend had set up a surprise tasting for my girlfriend and the worker made a cute little bag with "happy birthday" on it! i liked all the wines we tried (2tasting worth) then we bought 3 more bottles and are saving them for the right occasion! would def go again read more

This is the go to place for taking folks that are new to wine. This winery has everything to appeal to all wine lovers. My husband and I love white, red, dry, sweet.... but those new to wines don't quite know. We went to the location in Bend 2 times in one month with a cousin from out of state and a couple we've known for years. This was both or their first times to Fiesta. They LOVED it! Beautiful property and tasting room! Our hostess was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the wines, and took her time explaining the differences. Very friendly and knowledgeable Tasting Room server, and a beautiful setting. But if you are looking for high-quality, integrated and balanced wines, this is not one of the top Texas Hill Country wineries. Most had a good bit of residual sugar, and the dry selections seemed to have enough volatile acidity to burn a little. read more

On our second visit to the winery, we were joined by family members from Georgia. Did the tastings, purchased several yummy flavors and headed for home in Lampasas with our visitors from Georgia. Now for the REALLY good part; our visitors dropped their credit card just outside the door as we left. Dianne, employee from the winery, drove all the way out to Lampasas (located us via using the internet) to deliver the credit card to our doorstep as we were enjoying dinner- with a bottle of their wine. They were so friendly and interested in the guests (us), they knew which town to look for us at on the internet plus even went out of their way to get the credit card returned to us. Can not say how impressed we are with the staff as well as their wine!!! Major kudos! read more

Oddly, my group and I noticed that older customers seemed to be treated much better than my small group of 6 people in our mid 20's for no apparent reason. Fiesta wine is the first wine I've tried. I love their sweet stuff and recommended them to any other wine drinkers. Happy Trails is my favorite wine hands down. This location was so nice, it's on the owners property or that's what I'm told. They used to host weddings but don't anymore. They do do tours but couldn't on the day I was there because they were working. I got to try every wine they had at the bar that day and am a bigger fan then I was before. We were invited to come back in April during one of their events. This place is very laid back and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning a bit about wine and expanding your taste horizons. read more

Love coming to Fiesta Winery! Came twice in one week when we were in town for the week. The pizza is absolutely some of he best we've ever had! If there were only six stars...Kind of like the first review, we stumbled on to Fiesta when they very first opened. We now consider the Baxters friends. We love to take our wine drinking friends out the Lampasas trail (okay, now the wineries gave it a name - but we already had one for it!!).
