TDLR; I love this place, they are always so nice and kind and I truly appreciate all the effort and care they put into everything they do. My #1 vineyard. Sarah, Joey, Kalen, Taylor, and Tori are absolutely the best! The customer service and care about the customer experience. Whenever I visit they are all always so helpful and polite. They truly care about wine and the vineyard are incredible knowledgeable about the tasting notes, the different vintages they have, and all the other aspects of wine. I truly appreciate all the knowledge about the barrels, and all the steps of the process they all possess. I've learned so much attending the regular tastings, vertical tastings, and window club dinners. Oh to even bring up the wine club dinners! They always have such good chefs and their setups are always nice. I appreciate the staffing and the attention to detail they always provide. Incredible evenings and fantastic food. Always a treat and a core memory. I've ate at so several Michelin star restaurants and had pairing. Albeit not always at the same caliber, as something like Alinea. It is hands down the best, and that is not even including the pricing. It's an absolute steal. And nothing in comparison for the area of central Texas. What Valley Mills Vineyards has cultivated goes far beyond the bottle. It is, in the truest sense, a living experience: one where the terroir of genuine human connection is as carefully tended as the vines themselves. Absolutely gorgeous grounds but ... how you gonna have such a major staircase at a winery lol BE CAREFUL. I drank a glass of their moscato and liked it but their tastings were pretty light and it was 4 for 20$ which seemed like west coast prices. If they were better pours I wouldn't be complaining. A nice little charcuterie. Needs more outdoor seating. The young ladies working were nice. read more

Be ready to climb some stairs unless you go to the upper parking lot. Wasn't a problem for us but could if you have issues with stairs. The setting is very nice for a Texas outdoor area. Great view of the vineyard and the outdoor seating was great. The ladies and one guy working were very nice. I am a red wine drinker so the option I had was Tempranillo which I enjoy. The wines taste was not to my liking so I went in to taste another one and liked it less so I stuck with the Tempranillo . Anyway the place is worth a try just for the ambience. read more

We loved our time here and will definitely come back again. They vint and age on site. They make estate wines from their own Tempranillo grapes, available only to members. And they produce very nice wines from a variety of Texas High Plains grapes, for which they offer wine tastings. The service was relaxed but enjoyable. The grounds and the building are beautiful. They offer indoor and outdoor seating and are dog friendly. We'll definitely be back! I'm glad we got there early because the tables filled up quickly on a Saturday. It's a popular place. And I see why! I prefer dry, bold wines, mostly reds. I've lived in California for 15 years and toured Naps, Sonoma and the Russian River Valley many times. Yes, I'm a wine snob. So I didn't expect to enjoy this as well as I did. It's the best Texas winery experience I've had to date, and I look forward to visiting them again. read more

This is just a very nice winery. The scenery is beautiful and the building is stunning. Everyone is very nice and accommodating. We get one of their dry reds and it's wonderful. There was a beautiful breeze so we sat outside but there's plenty of room inside if you prefer AC. Their lane needs to be resurfaced and I truly wish the handicapped parking and entrance could be expanded for us older folks, but until then, the 50 steps ( give or take) leading to the tasting room is great cardio and you can reward yourself with a glass or two of nice wine! read more

I stopped by and attended a wine tour over the weekend, and it was worth the drive. It's about a 2 hour drive from DFW. The area is very secluded and peaceful. Our tour guide Kalen was lovely and very informative. I was very inquisitive and she answered all of the questions I presented. We visited pretty much each room used in the harvesting process, excluding the lab. This will likely be one a go to for a nice relaxing weekend getaway. Thank you so much! read more

We did a reserve tasting in the wine cellar and Marina was amazing! She called ahead to get our preference of red vs. white wines and she catered perfectly to our tastes. We had great conversation and even when we were interrupted by a tour, she never failed to provide an excellent experience. 10/10 recommend! read more

Snooty and absolutely condescending... their glasses of wine are $10 and tastings are $20. We went in for the stagecoach wine trail and they wouldn't let me trade my tasting for a glass of muscat since I don't like anything dry, only sweet. It didn't make sense since a glass is half price of a tasting. They said I could do a "taste" of the muscat. Nope! Just pour my husband double tasting (which honestly they didn't even pour double they jusy poured a slightly larger tasting). They always treat you badly when you're on the wine trail vs when you're not. And we got married here and usually love this place they've just gotten so uppity unfortunately. Poor service. read more

We three friends took a great tasting tour beginning at 3 p.m. on an early March Thursday afternoon. Katie was a great tour guide and did a fantastic job explaining the vineyards, harvesting processes and wine making there onsite. My husband surprised me with a reserve collection tasting for my birthday and our host was Marina. Hands down the best fun! I've done other group wine tastings before but this was personal and intimate. We had a charcuterie board and 4 wines to taste. This wasn't small flights like you get at a common tasting, these were nearly glasses. The charcuterie included salami, 2 cheeses, nuts, olives, pickles, and bread. Marina detailed the nodes of each wine while we sat at a beautiful private terrace over looking the vineyard. Turning 33 wasn't too bad this year. Book with Marina!! read more

This was the best stop on my Waco trip!! I decided to get my boyfriend a tour for Valentine's Day. And we personally loved our visit. I will admit I was disappointed we came in the off season. Our tour guide informed us it's prettier and we get to pick grapes when in season. I almost want to come back just to experience it again. For $40 a person you get four sample glasses of their wine. The four wines you taste are the ones on the top of the menu. And you get a tour of the entire vicinity which is very informative. We got a good insight about how wine is made and how VMV gets their oaky taste. I learned a lot of new things when I got here. Also, they don't add sugar to their wines! That's a bonus in my book. I'll be honest parking sucks. It's cramped and kind of scary because you drive upwards to get there. I feared if we didn't park correctly the car will fall. Glad it was there when we got back! Other than that one thing I love it! Everyone is nice. The vibes were so nice. It was a great feeling to just sit, drink, and enjoy the scenery before me. Soooo relaxing. Beautiful place to just buy a bottle and talk. If I'm ever in Waco I'll make another stop. read more

We went for a tasting on a busy Sunday afternoon. We reserved and paid in advance, but the customer service was lacking during our tasting experience. It seemed like they were understaffed and unable to provide the level of attention they would like. The wines were good and we ended up going home with 4 bottles. Definitely a good stop if you're in/near Waco. read more

This is place is pretty cool. They have nice outside seating overlooking the vineyard. You can tour the vineyard if you want. I'm sure it's beautiful in full bloom. The tasting is $20 you get 4 preset wines. Or you can choose from other selections by the glass or bottle. I told the sommelier what type of wine i liked and he suggested a couple options. We got a bottle of one of the delicious options and just relaxed and had girl time on the upper deck. They also have small bites/a board. Some days they have events like a crawfish boil coming up in April. Only downside is you can't pick which wines are in the tasting and it's one of the more expensive tastings that I've seen. read more
