I can't understand why they are located in stores. All the stores they are located in are not near me. I've had an account here and was told as long as I kept $10,000 in it I would not have to worry about making a recurring monthly deposit. However, now I am being told I have to make a monthly deposit or else I'll be charged a $25 service fee every month. I promptly closed the account as I'm done being frustrated every time I have to visit this bank. I've already been charged $25.00. They won't waive that fee. If they need the $25.00 that badly they can keep it. There are too many other banks that value my business. I don't need Woodforest.

This 5-Star Review is for Jonathan at the Help Center…read more On 5/21/2025, I was the victim of a scam. The amount taken was more than my pension check--devastating and truly frightening. In response, I shredded my Wright-Patt debit card, credit card, and checks for safety. A few days after I received a new debit card, I received a second debit card with a new number and called the Help Center to make sense of it all. That's when Jonathan answered. He was calm, knowledgeable, and exactly the person I needed. Jonathan explained that my refunded money had been sent to the now-closed, compromised account--but he immediately transferred the funds into my new account. He also confirmed that the second debit card should be shredded and went ahead and ordered me a new credit card. Jonathan even suggested I buy an RFID wallet or sleeves for extra protection. I ordered them from Amazon and had them the next day. Jonathan is THE BEST! He's polite, professional, and still down-to-earth--exactly who you want on the line when things go wrong. He made me feel like everything is going to be OK. Thanks again Jonathan - you made a real difference during a tough moment.

Since WPCU choose Velera to process new debit cards, the process has gotten longer (worse). This is…read morethe primary reason that we will be choosing another institution for our needs. We currently are stationed in Colorado, and requesting a debit card takes about 14 or more days to recieve. The process is intitiated in TEXAS. We could drive there and back in a shorter time. I've complained many times about this over the years to be told there is nothing that can be done. Well, WE CAN do something. Once we are in the area (OH) we will be closing out our accounts with WPCU. In today's world, why does it take 10-12 days to receive a bank card??? AND why are WPCU members paying for this SLOW service. We thought WPCU was FOR MEMBERS?! Audrey...did you not READ the review? I have talked to someone, several times, without resolution. Why would you recommend I speak to someone again??? Quit using this company to process requests. It should NOT take 10-14 days in today's world for a replacement card. This location is very convenient for me it's right across from my doctor's appointment and close to the grocery store in the in the interstate.. Everybody's always been very courteous And efficient.. It's a small bank bank which is not a bad thing bad thing. I've never had to wait more A minute or 2 to get weighted on.. I also like that they have bird feeders sometimes I come on days they're closed or after hours when I can sit in the drive-through it threw and take pictures of the birds. I'm a bird nerd.
