Valerie was just as smooth as the song. This girl knew thier huge beer selection, ciders, lemonades, milkshakes, and menu like the back of her hand! First we walked into this bright happy chill vibe brewery with a large selection of all different varieties on tap. We were immediately greeted by Valerie who explained what they have on tap, that we ordered through the bar, and what their specials were. I ended up having a peach ring drink, he ended up having 2 or 3 beers, and I bought a growler of their spiced imperial to go. We were on a mission to try chili all over Ohio so Valerie recommended the chili beer cheese fries and Cincinnati chili double cheese burger which were out of those world good! It was their own cool twist on Cincinnati's unique version of chili that we loved. I would have bought a growler of that beer cheese if I could haha. I had a fun jalapeño popper fried chicken sandwich special they were offering and it phenomenal, I could have eaten 2. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful with a nice big flavorful crunchy batter. Had my eye on this since I noticed the Bus out back. It's in an old bank, which makes for an interesting layout. Plus there's an elevator, and they do use the upper level for seating and the restrooms. And of course there's the vault downstairs, for merch. And a drive-through. Friendly service. Basic menu but interesting variations, mainly burgers. However, I heard they had a corndog special, and just couldn't resist. Two corndogs, big meaty dogs covered in corn batter and deep fried. Served with mustard and what seems like fry sauce. Pretty good. Also beer, which I didn't try but the variety of types was tempting. Decent prices. Street parking. Stopped by here today to try a craft beer and a burger. I decided on the double West Virginia burger. Its two beef patties and apple butter bacon and Caramelized onions very very good! I also had the familiar faces beer. Very good it wasn't very heavy nice lite beer kinda sweet and sour but paired well with my burger. My wife decided on the fried chicken Missouri sandwich. It has MARINARA PROVOLONE CHEESE Parmesan crisp, flavor was good but sadly the chicken was almost nonexistent. Maybe after 3-5 bites there wasn't any chicken left. All n all I would eat here again but probably wouldn't be getting the chicken. From the signs they have different things throughout the week to draw in customers so if your a local i highly recommend checking them out. Laid back atmosphere with a cool vide. Smash burger was everything one would expect, but better. Seasoned well and my double almost burned my mouth is was served so hot. Crinkle fries were way over salted. Child's burger ordered with side of fruit. No fruit, just mediocre fries. Order for OH single burger....had the spiciest mustard ever tasted and chili on top was very dried out. Staff behind the bar were pleasant. Young gal that brought our food out seemed rushed and bothered when we ask for ketchup. Seating was limited due to several tables reserved for a pricate event. Both times I've been to 50 West (I live in cbus but come to town sometimes for hiking) have been wonderful. Lucky me, both times the same bartender has helped build me amazing flights where all the beers were so good I was glad to take home a crowler after. The fries are always amazing, love the dipping sauce, my friend enjoyed her burger and the shakes looked great too. Staff are SUPER friendly! Food is delicious and filling. We did get an order of onion rings once that were very overcooked, but they aren't really a regular item on the menu anyway so not too miffed about it. The beer is off the chain! It's the best tasting hometown brew I've had, and I am proud to have had the chance to try it. Of course all taste is subjective so you may not like it, but if you like milder IPAs and heady lagers you will like 50 West. TLDR; 50 West is a great place for beer, good times, and filling meals. 50 West has been one of the best things to happen to me and the little town of Chillicothe! Moving here a few years ago and not knowing anyone, 50 West is how I made friends in the community. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The food is yummy! The have awesome burgers! And the beer selection is great The beers change all the time so it's fun to try something new. Since 50 West has opened, they've put on so many events and partnered with other businesses in the community as well. They host trivia nights, cornhole leagues, dart leagues, weekly bike rides, live music, and even an annual sand volleyball tournament in the street! 50 West truly is so much more than just a business in Chillicothe. We also got food for ourselves and our kids - easy to navigate menu and tasty. The guys behind the bar were very helpful and let us sample a couple beers before we ordered. Don't sleep on the wings, which are super saucy, so grab some extra napkins. Service is kiosk or counter service, but they turn the food out quickly. It's a working brewery and they've built it in a former bank - with the old vault serving as a merch shop. It's been said in other reviews, but they are a phenomenal community partner - unique events, always willing to donate to causes (including organization partnering on brewing your own beer, the summer bike rides are very popular. Let's start with the positives-the beers and ciders are really good. I have tried several different ones and all were very good. Because of this, we have been planning on coming down for a long time. The fries and fry sauce are a must and they were very good and fresh. They have a fun selection of different state/regional burgers which would have been very good-IF-they would have been hot. We got three different burgers on a somewhat busy Saturday evening at 5:30. The burgers were all cold, the cheese wasn't melted in the slightest. Taste and atmosphere wise I would have give me a 4 or 5 star, but with cold burgers, cold cheese, non caramelized onions, it knocks it to a 3. Passing through on our way to Columbus on Valentine's Day with our family of 4. We tried another establishment at 5:15 and was told an hour wait. Called Fifty West and the said come on over. We were greeted warmly when we walked in, they could tell it was our first time. A nice gentleman explained how it works and we went from there. The Burgers were delish, like REALLY Delish!!!! I got the special which was a mushroom Swiss with garlic aioli the nice girl taking my order recommend added grilled onions, I said sure! SO GOOD! I also tried the West Coast IPA. Highly recommend! My Husband got the double burger/Illinois style, he Loved the horseradish aioli. Our daughters got fries with beer cheese, they ate every bite of the cheese sauce. They were opting for Canes b/c we don't have one where we live. (Their Mistake!) Thanks Yelp for a wonderful recommendation. The only sad part is that we don't live close and can't come back soon! I work directly across the street from here and it is quickly becoming my go to for lunch when I'm not busy serving the public in my cushy government job. The burgers are always banger and I love the diversity of the menu. The beer is heads above what they distribute - the stuff on tap is close to godly nectar. I hate sours on principle but I will slam their Cloud Spotting beer all day, every day, and show off my amazing purple drink to anyone. You have three floors from which to choose to sit. If you hate people in general, the third floor is your place. If you like to chat it up with randos, stick to the bottom. I'm a mixed bag depending on my mood, but usually enjoy chatting it up with locals and the bartenders. Service is always top notch. There is a guy in there named Webb who seriously needs to awarded bartender of the year. The guy can talk about anything and encourages group conversation. The other staff has always been great to me too. One single complaint and that is this place has 12 unique hamburgers and no club for those who slam all 12 in a few months. I think it'd be fun for customers and great for business to offer a "Tour of the US" challenge for customers that entails of eating all 12 burgers in 3 months and you win maybe a t-shirt and a beer mug or a free drink or something like that. Bartenders Tye, Aaron, and Zach were great dudes and definitely made my first time experience worth. My West Virginia burger and "Shh" beer were both simply phenomenal. 50 W. turn the old Huntington building in downtown Chillicothe into a usable space. I am so excited to visit in the summer when the garage door style windows can be opened. This is a perfect place for young professionals to gather, located in the heart of historic downtown Chillicothe, within walking distance to many other restaurants and shops. The beer selection is similar to Cincinnati, but unique in its own way since they have beers that beers that are specific to Chillicothe and the town. I love the 50 W. brand, but I am so excited since they have added a location in my hometown. The burgers were good, and the service was fast, I will absolutely be returning, and hopefully hanging out here more when the weather turns warm. read more

This is 50's second location, the other being the OG in Milford, Ohio, and it's located in a renovated bank at the corner of Paint street and (you guessed it) US 50. Lots of beer choices and the menu is targeted to a nice selection of unique burgers and a few shareables. If you're looking for a quiet and dim lit dinner ambience, venture elsewhere. However, if your looking for a casual, lively and hip gathering place with excellent beers on tap - take Route 50 to downtown Chillicothe and make 50 West your destination.
