Coffee bar!

The cutest new coffee shop in Kingwood! Hooray! This place was definitely needed in the community. Great ambience, great service, and even better coffee! It's a win win for sure. We will be regulars here.

Okay Kingwood, I see you trying to get cute with the cafes. and Fig & Table is definitely bringing the vibes. The space is open, and gives "I actually could be productive here. Staff was super kind and upbeat. Coffee: Decent! Scones: phenomenal... We ordered basically everything,..Jalapeno Popper, S'mores, Blueberry, Maple Bacon Fig, Cranberry and, I came back on a separate day for the Cookies & Cream because self-control is not my ministry. The only downside? For the price, the scone sizing is giving "surprise party." Some are huge, some are tiny, and honestly... I need consistency in my baked goods the same way I need consistency in my coffee order. Overall: super cute, super delish, but please make all the scones the same size so I don't feel emotionally betrayed at the counter

Our family is so excited that Fig & Table is now open! The ambiance is amazing. When I walked in there was what looked like a college student working on her laptop. There was a young man at the bar chatting with the barista. Two men were sitting at a table visiting. The barista who took my order was friendly and knowledgeable. I love cold brew and ordered a peppermint cold brew half sweet with oat milk. It was so smooth and hit the spot! I also ordered a s'mores scone. I've had almost every scone they've ever made at the local farmer's markets and this one was just as delicious as the others! Jessica is definitely gifted with making her scones among other things! We are so proud of Fig & Table. This type of coffee shop is just what we needed!

it's nice to have a new coffee shop in kingwood that is not a starbucks and is locally owned! their focus besides drinks is scones so i had to get one my first time to try. i got a chai with one of their speciality flavors rosemary and fig in it and their smores scone. the syrup was heavy on the rosemary, i was hoping to taste the fig more in it as i love fig fruit. but still a very unique flavoring you don't get everywhere. the service was fine. the ambiance is modern. overall it's a nice place. the only thing i can say is i wish they were open longer or had longer weekend hours. i typically get off at 5pm and they close at 5pm.

I couldn't figure out how to edit my other review but wanted to add there's a little play area for toddlers as well with some books. We loved it.

But drinks, spring rolls, banh mi, vermicelli/rice plates are also their jam. Definitely on the pricier side for Vietnamese food and not truly authentic (but guess it's pretty far from Alief / Bellaire here), but I enjoyed the flavors anyways! ** 5 spice tofu vermicelli: this beautiful plate came with big fluffy pieces of tofu that were nicely fried, but the tofu itself had only a hint of the 5 spice flavor. It came with a very sweet, light fish sauce (?) that amped up the flavor, and there are sriracha and hoisin sauces on each table if needed. The medley of carrots, cabbage, and cilantro added some crunch and color. It wasn't oily or overly filling, and I'm happy I tried it :) ** BBQ pork banh mi: solid banh mi with some pickled veggies inside. Take out the jalepeno if you don't like spicy! The pork is a little on the fattier side. We added a fried egg as suggested by the staff (man, eggs are expensive right now!), and it was a little overcooked since we usually like the slightly runny yolk for banh mi. The bread wasn't overly crispy that it poked the roof of your mouth. ** Shrimp tempura: more of a fried shrimp than the Japanese tempura style, but still tasty! These came piping hot with pickled carrots too. Doesn't taste very "shrimpy," which may be good depending on who you ask. It's a clean and sort of fun, airy atmosphere. You order at the cashier first and the water, utensils, boxes, etc are self-serve. The staff were friendly. Definitely bring a jacket-- they had fans circulating cold air and it was chilly! Would return for their lunch offerings if in the area and to try the drinks and bubble waffles :D

I haven't had a chance to try any of their coffees yet but I will next time! I stopped by today and got the same thing but add a breakfast burrito a sausage one to be exact. The filling with good but the tortilla was really hard I couldn't even bite it. It was only like on the edges and bottom part the middle was of course soft because of the filling. I think the breakfast burrito has room for improvement simply because it was hard. I had to tear mine apart. Another good thing about them is the employees are very nice and helpful and they don't hesitate to answer your questions and they're pretty quick. Next time I'll have to go inside because I only ever go through the drive through. Overall if you want a good matcha and a quick bite, stop by Black Rock coffee bar! You'll enjoy it!

TLDR: Worth a visit if you're in the area?…read more Wow! Hidden gem? Forgotten favorite? I don't know, but after tasting the food, we have to get the word out about this spot. Arriving around lunchtime on a weekday, I had the place to myself which allowed me a unique opportunity to take the place in. That being said, this spot is not overly French cafe themed, but instead a classic suburban strip mall spot with nods to the French peppered throughout the menu and decor. The booth area is well-designed, the spot was clean and the table touched by light so after a great experience chatting with the cashier I was crossing my fingers, hoping the food matched the vibe. I had a crepe Mexicana (because who has ever heard of that?!), a croque monsieur with tomato soup, and a dessert crepe because y'all know I always save room for dessert. It took a minute to be prepared, but I'm willing to wait for a fresh made meal. Everything, was delicious. Crepe texture was on point, and each crepe was stuffed to the Gods. Positive experience all around. My tip: Order the tomato soup and finish your meal with the following combo- a dessert Crepe Almonds with strawberries. Trust me on that one!
