There's ample room to study and to chill, they have a downstairs area and also an upstairs. I got an iced matcha with brown sugar cold foam! First off the iced Cinnamon Roll Latte is delicious. If you're worried about the cinnamon being too overwhelming, don't. It balances out nicely with the other ingredients. The Loft area is spacious and has a nice variety of seating options, chairs, tables and couches, oh my. I finally made it to this coffee shop which may be the only 2 story coffee shop in houston...well. 1.5 stories you could say. They have plenty of parking and 5 signature lattes on their menu, which is what I came here for. I tried the English sausage roll and their iced cinnamon roll latte. The pastry was ok, I wasn't blown away as I've had this at other coffee shops and restaurants. The latte was also just ok for me, not very sweet at all and I didn't feel like it tasted anything like a cinnamon roll. The best part is really just the atmosphere here. It's a hoping spot on a cold and drizzly Sunday late morning. Ordered the usual (decaf flat white, heavy cream) and THIS is a cup of coffee. Strong flavor standing up to the cream. The ratios are right. It's hot, but not scalding. Hubs is thinking he'll grab another one for the road. (Now THAT's saying something!) Comfy seats here under the crazy black and white wall, and a steady stream of patrons. We'll check out upstairs before we leave but if it's anything like what's going on down here? The service at this coffee shop is good, I love a good chai so that's what I ordered here and I was a bit disappointed as it was mostly milk and lacked that particular flavor chai has. It is a two story coffee shop with very nice decor and a chill vibe where you can just sit and enjoy your coffee. I also tried an espresso, which was decent. Not good not bad just a regular espresso. Rarely you'll find me in the Woodlands area since it's so far from my domicile. But I found myself here in the morning during a Sunday in late June where I needed to post up for some coffee and me time. As always, YELP brought me here so I had to stop in and hang for a bit. First, the space; a two floor establishment with table seating (downstairs) or lounge seating (upstairs). I went with the lounge seating where there's a side table for plugging in your electronics that you can work from. Very convenient! Second, the employees are kind and excited if it's your first time here which mine was. They recommended the either the cinnamon roll latte or baklava latte, I decided on the latter. Which leads me to the third, the latte was straight up BOMB. Like having that delicious mediterranean dessert in latte format with the cinnamon rim, I was very impressed with the taste. I also got a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel which complimented the latte well. Quite a breakfast. There's other signature lattes here and frappuccinos, someone mentioned there was a cookes & cream frap. I'll have to try that sometime. They use cold brew as the base for a frap which keeps it frosted; a nice touch. Look forward to being back here when I'm in the Woodlands! Third Gen is one of my favorite local coffee shops. My coffee or matcha has been perfect every time, there's virtually no wait everytime I've gone, and the service is fantastic. 5 stars is not enough for this cozy, friendly shop! I frequent this place about once a week and love it. There's tons of seating inside, fun merch/dog treats, and AMAZING coffee! I have come with several people and all of them have loved their drinks. The parking lot is huge and I never have trouble finding a spot. It is also in a cute shopping center next to a yoga studio and bookstore, so it's super easy to make visiting this place a day trip. My only (small) gripe is that vegan food options are very limited- I would love to see some options for pastries or snacks! read more

I got the cinnamon roll latte and I really enjoyed it except it wasn't as hot as I like it. I like my coffee really hot and it wasn't really there for me. Service was really good. My wife got a smoothie and it wasn't very good personally but more than likely you're not there for a smoothie. Biggest complaint is they close so early! So firstly the coffee spot offers a nice ambiance and the fresh smell of coffee and food. That's the only thing about this place we liked. They had run out of croissants which was ummm ok...... secondly we waited over 15 minutes for 2 coffees and 2 ham and cheese bagels as well as the English breakfast sausage, way to many herbs on that btw. That wasn't the worst part the worst part was that the service was below standard of even a coffee shop they definitely should have given us a bag but I had to go up and ask for one you would think since we ordered 5 items to go mind you, that a bag would have been customary to offer not here. Then some college kid in the parking lot bent back my folding mirrors and just rolled her eyes when I said something about it and proceeded to run in the coffee shop. This is one of the most enjoyable cappuccinos I've ever had. The expresso had an aggressive dark roasted coffee flavor softened by the creamy milk foam poured in a tulip pattern on top (sorry I didn't take a picture). It had a perfect balance of gingerbread and chai mix that didn't feel like either one was overpowering the other. My only gripe was the color of the coffee. AN ENCHANTED COZY COFFEE SHOP Located in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Woodlands area, there's a cute, picturesque, warm, and cozy little coffee shop. Third Gen is not your average popular Star Bucks. Instead, this establishment was built on the backs of a family's hard work, blood, sweat, tears, and love. It has an aura of serenity in the atmosphere and a sense of family values imbedded into the history. After a long and stressful day at work, it felt great to be able to unwind at such a prestigious establishment with delicious Hot Honduras coffee, and great company. Our community manager, Ms. Brittany along with Third Gen owner Rachel, hosted an amazing and fun after hours Holiday Coffee Event. A family history of how this establishment began, was provided in precise details by Rachel. It began many years ago by Rachel's husband's great grandfather who was a coffee farmer in Honduras. Somewhere along the way, it was all taken away from him after he had created a successful coffee farming business, but the universe saw fit to bring it back together and their legacy continues to live on with the Third Generation who are keeping that spirit alive! This event was a small gathering of Elites who came together united in perfect harmony to enjoy an evening of Yelp Bingo games accompanied by prizes, delicious Honduras coffee, great conversation, laughter, and fellowship! There was a fruit tray provided with a variety of dry fruits and nuts which was plentiful and also miniature chocolate Santa candy bars. You could literally feel the Holiday Spirit in the air, especially with the beautiful Christmas decor by Brittany and her mom. Moreover, the owner provided us with a small history lesson in coffee, and I learned some things about coffee beans that I was totally unaware of. The lovely and talented Barista Sabrina, created some beautiful Latte artwork and offered us each an opportunity to try our hand at Latte art. However, I opted out because I'm a chicken, too afraid to fail in front of everyone, lol. Thankfully, we did have some brave daredevils who didn't mind taking the front line and allowing the great artist in them to shine! In addition to all the fun and excitement, Third Gen gave us an opportunity to sample some of their delicious and innovative holiday coffee creations, the Eggnog Latte and the Grinch Matcha Latte. Both creations were equally delicious, warm, and soothing as I gulped them down. I also tried their delicious Honduras Drip coffee without cream or sweeteners and let me tell you, it HITS PERFECTLY! I can see myself becoming addicted to it. The owner explained to us that the Honduras coffee goes through the process of being washed due to eliminating mucilage and keeping the coffee beans from fermenting. I was so wired up from drinking so much coffee; I had the hardest time falling asleep after I made it home. Although my husband warned me not to go in on the coffee, I just couldn't control myself. I'm extremely hard-headed. SMH... Overall, this Elite Event experience was an epic one! I had a fabulous time mingling with other Elites and having the opportunity to meet the parents of our community manger. I thought they were adorable and to witness the support and love that they bestow upon their daughter was truly uplifting and heartwarming. I must say, the vibes in the atmosphere were full of love and Holiday cheer. The only down-side to getting the opportunity to grace this establishment and finding that I love it, is that it's located 35 miles away from where I live. Bummer! I will have to devise a plan for visiting them periodically in the future. Thanks Brittany and the Yelp team for all that you do in planning every amazing Elite Event!
