Ummm...why are there only two reviews here?…read more This place is A-MAZING!!! Screw 24-hour fitness and the monotony of a gym. Come here!!! The prices are about the same, you're supporting a local business, and the value at Niavaroni's is so much better. Niavarani's is professional, VERY welcoming to females, adults, and youths of all shapes, levels, and sizes I like the management. The instructors are all amazing (EZRA REGAN is my favorite...you're AWESOME!!!). This is what I love most: I can go into a class for an hour, come out drenched in sweat, get an amazing work out, and feel great afterward. And the best part about Niavoroni's: When I come here, I feel like I'm part of a family.

A year ago, I would have rated it 5 stars. Now? It's just OK…read more Let me expand. I'm here for the kickboxing-- or, Muay Thai. Ezra was a fantastic instructor. Every week we would improve or learn. Now that he is gone, it just isn't the same. Now, the gym is focused primarily on boxing. There is very little new instruction in the way of kickboxing, and I don't think I've seen clinching (a large part of Muay Thai) even mentioned since. The sessions are very formulaic, and have very little variation anymore. Some calisthenic warm up, a round of shadow boxing, some running drills, a little bag work, then no/light contact basic punch drills with a partner. Then the same ab routines and maybe some jump rope. In general, the above isn't really a problem if it was just a cardio burn class offered at the local gym - but this is a dedicated boxing/kickboxing gym that commands a price 2-3x higher than your average gym membership. One thing that does give them a distinct advantage is the hourly class schedule. They run a lot of classes!

I did a few months at Prime Time Boxing last year, but Boxing Academy is so much better if you are looking to learn technique. Boxing classes vary greatly and you may spend the entire session working on technique and footwork and the next session could be all conditioning and bag work. Coach Abe is great and has a positive and motivating personality. Sometimes the class sizes can be quite large and sometimes it may just be you and the coach. Regardless of the size, I've always gotten personal instruction in every class. They have a lot of equipment on site (like gloves, jump ropes, mitts, etc.), so if you are interested in trying it out, don't worry about investing in gloves right away. You should bring your own hand wraps, though, which run about $10 a pair. They also have open gym sessions, so if you are a member, you can come and work out on your own. They have weights and racks, as well as a ton of heavy bags, double end bags and speed bags. The place can be a bit hard to find, it's on Galilee and the drive way is right where the road starts to turn towards Industrial. Drive past a large iron-wrought gate and the gym is right there on the right as you go through the gate. (The parking lot lights can sometimes be off at night.) I would highly recommend Boxing Academy for anyone looking to learn how to box or just looking for a fun and challenging place to workout! I also recommend following their Facebook page as they tend to keep that the most updated with schedules, events and gym times.

However, with that being said, it was very dead in there. I thought, okay, great. Maybe it'll be like a personal training session? It was a super tiny studio, a little bit bigger than my bedroom, and even though there is one trainer/receptionist, I didn't feel he was training me consistently especially since I know in kickboxing you have to have good form to make sure you don't injure yourself. He was not really helping me with that. And so Overall, I was a little disappointed. I don't think it's worth a 140 bucks a month. Honestly, I could do most of those workouts in my bedroom, although I did get to try some really unique kickboxing equipment there. I know myself and don't think I wouldnt be motivated to do this everyday. I also wasn't a fan that there's no drinking fountain! I ran out of water and they only sell water bottles weren't even very cold for a dollar. I was told I could have my first one complimentary was nice. But I run out of water constantly when I work out I can't imagine people sweating don't as well. It's a good concept overall! Just need some tweeks. I think it's a little overpriced for what the concept is. There's gym memberships where you get entire resort-like facilities here for the same cost. I'm glad I tried it though :)

Eastern Ways easily exceeded our expectations. They were very organized and kept the kids' interest at all times. A group of energetic 10 year olds sitting at attention is an impressive feat. The party content was tailored to our son's interests and even included Kung Fu weapons forms demonstrations. The party room was decorated beautifully and the staff was attentive to the needs of the kids, as well as the parents. The pizza was purchased from a local supermarket but all the kids asked for seconds (I had thirds). Soda and water were the drink options. We brought cupcakes from home and they supplied the candles. They had a unique way of having the birthday boy blow out his candle. There were 5 staff members doing the demonstrations and tending to the guests. They checked with us before they did anything to make sure it was ok. We've had numerous birthday parties for our boy's and these folks are tops in service and courtesy. Each guest received a week of training as part of their goodie bag. Our son is already chomping at the bit to redeem his.
