And even though he has a wide service area, he fit my sister in for a same day call. And my diagnosis of the problem was wrong. But that did not deter him from his original estimate of cost. They gave us a date and 2 hour window for their repair guy to come by, and he called us when he was 30 minutes away. The part needed to be ordered so he gave us the exact amount to get it installed. He answered one phone call from me in the morning but never showed up to finish reversing the door (while he left all of the parts scattered about.) He would not answer or returned any more calls (not even before I submitted the review.) I sent several (friendly) courteous messages (during this time) but to no avail. I waited numerous weeks before submitting my review of this small business owner (to give him the "benefit of the doubt" to make himself whole.) I finally realized the he didn't know what he was doing when I googled my dryer's model number (and watched the video on YouTube. Everything that he needed to do for the job was actually provided on the dryer. He didn't need to get a different bracket at all. A 2nd floor townhouse with a 90-degree turn near the top. Brendon and Shane did the uninstall, haul away and installed the new Speed Queen without complaint. Thank you guys! The Very Bad: Brendon and Shane failed to remove a tie down bracket that prevents the tub from shifting during shipping and delivery. On our first use, there was a terrible metallic grinding sound. The unit shook so vigorously that it walked itself across the floor, then blew the door open and puked water on the floor ... before pulling the electrical cord tight enough to unplug itself. More Good: I called to request service on a Saturday afternoon ... and Scott arrived at 10AM Monday. He pulled the front panel and immediately identified the root cause - failure of the installers to remove the tie down bracket. He inspected the unit and found no damage. Whew!

I spoke to Mark around end of business Friday, and he was able to come Monday. He quickly diagnosed the problem (lid switch issue), and fixed the wire in the switch. He also greased up the brake under the washer when he heard how loud it was, and tightened my laundry tub faucet. He showed me the issues and explained them clearly. I contacted Speed Queen corporate, and they confirmed the part has been in stock. However, RSI goes through a third-party supplier and, I was told, cannot order directly from Speed Queen. After this long delay, you would think an exception could be made. To make matters worse, communication has been poor throughout--phone calls are rarely returned, and updates have been minimal. Overall, a very frustrating experience.
