First time trying this place and I will definitely be back. I ordered the steak flautas (taquitos )which came with two sides and an order of the chocoflan to go. Everything was super fresh and tasted great, also very reasonably priced and good portion size . It's a small place and parking can be a bit challenging in the area but the service was fast and friendly and I really enjoyed the food. If you want phenomenal, fresh, authentic Mexican food served in a cozy environment in Bayonne, this is your place. It seems most of their business is pick up and take-out, but we grabbed a table and got very friendly service. The menu is big enough to include all your favorites, but small enough to keep all the ingredients fresh in the back, so a perfect balance on that front. We got the nachos to start. Now, I'm not really a nachos guy in general, it can be messy, and there's too much cheese and it gets cold and dries up quickly. This is not the case with these. The chips are perfectly adorned with deliciousness, including a scoop of homemade guac that was excellent. For entrees, we got the steak tlacoyos, and the steak fajitas with a side of homemade macaroni salad in place of the rice and beans. If you have never had a tlacoyos dish before, I highly recommend it. It's a pre-hispanic Mexican dish of stuffed thick corn masa harina dough stuffed with mashed beans and topped with delicious toppings. Highly recommend. Stopped by here to have lunch. My husband and i were craving tacos. We got a couple of different items. We got an order of Casa Birria tacos Carnitas tacos, Al Pastore tacos and beef steak tacos. We also order some Horchata to drink upon entering the restaurant. The place was empty. It was midday, but it was very clean and quiet. We were a sister right away by the cashiers/server. We were given a basket of chips with salsa and we replaced our order once we got the Horchata we tasted them. I would give you Horchata a two out of five. The Horchata tasted a little sour to me, which was an odd thing to taste since it's supposed to taste sweet. I love the tacos. The tacos were amazing. The bistek taco was very peppery. I give it a five out of five. the Al pastor taco was good but needed bigger chunks of pineapple. I believe it would be better if it was not chard pineapple that way, you can taste the sweetness of it more with the saltines ofthe Al Pastor, but overall four out of five. The Carnitas tacos was good. It tasted like unsourced pulled pork. I give it a four out of five once adding the green sauce or red sauce. It tasted way better. The Quesabirria tacos were good. They were really crunchy and had a lot of meat to it. I would prefer if they had a little bit more cheese but overall five out of five. the Consume with the Quesabirria tacos. I get a three out of five it was a little bland and needed a little more spice. The service was great even the chef had come out to ask how the food was and had offer us a tasting of one of their spicy sauces that they had. It was a green sauce that was made in a Molcajete which helped amplify the flavor. read more

This place is a hidden gem. I was visiting one of my friends and she recommended that we pick up food from here. Upon walking in, the restaurant is very small, so I think it's definitely better for takeout. I've been craving good Mexican food ever since I went to Mexico and nothing around seem to hit the spot or even come close - the tacos were amazing! Staff was super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. honestly the woman that helped us with our take out order was beyond nice and helpful.. my daughter aka nena was too busy but knew exactly what she wanted in the Mexican style beef tacos came quick even the delivery driver was very nice and the was not up to what I but let me tell you the owner. Hugo took amazing care of us and that's what customer service is about and the communication between us was 10 out of 10. I know that inside of this my NE NA goes a lot with her friends and they absolutely love it. It was our first time ordering it me and my mother that are from Ireland so it was menu, but like I said, the young lady at the counter was beyond helpful and I didn't communicate well with boss the Hugo was amazing. Communication was as well. I wholeheartedly this Mexican restaurant, especially for Bayonne residence. It is a small style of feeling and like I said the customer service even if everything else is terrible if you have great customer service, I will never not go there and they had 10 out of 10 customer service and it wasn't just the staff. Got the birria tacos and pulled pork gordito for takeout and it tasted very bland. The birria tacos were huge and had a lot of beef. I also appreciated the taco shells with the outside one being hard - good structure & crunch. BUT the beef was so tough and hard to chew. My jaw got tired from chewing. And even when dipped into the consume, there was just no flavor? I was kinda full after 1 taco due to large portion size but also because I didnt want to continue eating. The pulled pork gordito reminded me of bolognese sauce between bread. Bf got the figuritas skirt steak and said it was awful bc it was dry and bland. I had one of his carrots and the flavors were not mixing well at all... Overall I was baited by the reviews saying this was the best Mexican food ever.... But personally I would say this was the worst Mexican food I've had. Great portion sizes and packing though. read more

Honestly, I don't think Bayonne delivers at all when it comes to food, most people will go go JC or Hobo, but I digress. I was really craving tacos, but the food truck next to the LA Fitness wasn't there that day. So, I decided to venture into the heart of Bayonne to find some birria tacos. Watch out for this hidden gem ! Food was delicious ! The stuffed avocado was almost like a ceviche, a little spicy but amazing ! The tacos were soft shell but with a little crunch ?! This restaurant was ok , well at least the staff and cook but the bold guy I don't know if he was the owner or the manager of the company I was treated very poorly I feel like you need to devote time, although it can get overwhelming running a restaurant As a business owner I would hate to lose a loyal customer such as myself I undoubtedly I spend about 200 monthly eating here as a matter of fact my transition was $50 for this order I disagreed with the sayin the customer is always right But I do think that a customer should be treated with the respect after returning something expired With while mold on it. Decided to try a new place in town. All I can say is wow! The food was amazing. We ordered takeout for a few girls in the office. Authentic Mexican. We had ordered the following shrimp tacos, chorizo tacos, guacamole and chips, elote( Mexican street corn) and an Agua Fresca Tamarindo.All excellent! First time coming here and it was AMAZING! Everything about this place is perfect in my eyes, the food, the service and the decoration made it so much more special. Great place to come by when you don't feel like cooking dinner but you still want to eat something filling, homemade and well priced! As soon as we sat down the waitress offered us chips with red and green sauce. She even refilled out chips after we were done eating! The red sauce is spicy and well balanced. It paired perfectly with my soup and tacos. Looking back on these pictures made me feel SO hungry and I'm debating if I should stop by again today for lunch! My chicken soup came with some of the best bread I've ever had and it was packed with flavor and vegetables. Their chicken quesadilla was so filling and seasoned well! The waitress actually recommended it for us and it was the best dish we got. In addition, the al pastor tacos were also really yummy! I can't wait to come back and try the steak and chorizo options! We tired the Birria tacos w soup and we were VERY impressed. the soup is flavorful and rich. the tacos...the meat. tender, juicy. just so yummy. mind you i ordered this to go. it sat in the container for at least 30 mins before i was able to eat it. Still SO. This food is the bomb. Like it's seriously so good I can't stress, the only part I wasn't the most fond of was the rice but I'm picky with rice and that's just me. I know anybody else who would try this would fall in loveeeeeeeeee. Best Mexican food I've had in a while, especially in Bayonne. We ordered the Flautas, Quesadilla, and Guac - everything was delicious! Service on the phone was also excellent! The individual on the phone answered a few questions I had prior to ordering and it made a world of a difference. I'm currently expecting and my appetite has been a bit off as of late, they were super helpful in helping me order something I would love. My car was being serviced nearby so I popped in to dine indoors for lunch. I was NOT disappointed! The spot was relatively empty yet the young lady at the counter was very attentive. I was pleasantly surprised to receive chips and salsa as I mulled over the menu. The salsa was delicious, though a bit on the spicy side. I ordered a side of guac to balance it out, which turned out to be the right move. The guac was just ok but with the salsa it came alive! I mixed and matched the tacos (1 steak, 1 carnitas, and 1 chicken). They were sooo delicious and so flavorful! Even the chicken taco packed a punch. I washed it all down with an ice cold guava Jarritos, the perfect compliment to this meal. I don't live nearby so likely won't get to frequent this business, but rest assured, whenever I'm down this way I'll definitely make it a point to stop in for lunch and try something else.
