Overall decent experience and place seemed to be packed with the local community. Veal Parmesan was good ordered sauce on the side...(strongly recommend they like their sauce) spaghetti with meat sauce was ok had a weird taste. Salad was included it was basic Bread warm from the oven (took a while) was delicious. My wife got her favorite chicken franchise asked for side of pasta with same sauce. Came out with red sauce- Chicken itself was ok needed S&P sauce was beyond terrible!! Lemon butter sauce should not have tomato chunks, slices of garlic or corn starch used as a thickening agent. Stopped here for a nice lunch break while traveling from NYState to DC. Place is clean and comfy. Server was very accommodating to our needs. She explained the specials and other items on the menu. We ended up getting a sausage and pepper and onion on homemade bread and a chicken cheese steak on homemade focaccia type bread. Everything was very good especially the breads. So disappointed! Had dinner here tonight. Arrived at 5:15; were seated immediately. Ordered and received our salad and bread at 5:35 - then nothing for 40 minutes, which is when our server apologized for the delay saying take out orders were consuming the kitchen. At 6:23 our food finally arrived! 2 minutes before hubby and I agreed we'd walk out. The extra sad fact is that hubby ordered the daily special and I had a standard chicken dish. The food was good and very hot. The server was very kind, but management needs to better balance take out and dine in service. Perhaps you just stick with takeout pizza. We won't go back. My wife and I stopped in one evening for dinner. My wife had the gnocchi with Alfredo sauce. The dumplings were like little pillows. I took a bite and thought they were fantastic. I had the old standby of spaghetti and meatballs. I loved them. The sauce was smooth and tasty. The meatballs were seasoned perfectly. They were tender and delicious. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The dining room needs updating. Not sure if it's trying to be a fine dining or pizza place. It seemed disorganized and cluttered. Easy to find in South Williamsport adjacent to the bridge. Plenty of off-street parking. So it looks like a run-of-the-mill pizza place, but it's not. They have an extensive menu of pizza, subs, salads, and Italian specialties. I'm in town for work, and they are a short drive over the bridge. Service was great. My server was pleasant and very attentive. Garden salad, rolls, beer, and chicken parm dinner. Large portion. $25 total with tip. I called my order in 2 hours in advance. When i got there for pickup it wasn't even started. I would have walked out if I had not already paid. Either way, get my food home and realize the fettuccini alfredo was curdled. Freaking curdled. I have been coming here for years... no actually decades. They lost me as a customer tonight. Located directly on the 15/11 Filipo's made for a great place to stop for dinner on the road. Servers are friendly and helpful and the tasty Italian dishes are served up fast and fresh. Chicken Marsala is spot on and the Mediterranean chicken was unique and flavorful. Portion sizes are large and filling, excellent value for the price. They also offer a childrens menu and high chairs, we saw several other families dining. They also offer take out. Glad we discovered this gem! I ordered a take out from this restaurant. I am a tourist staying at a hotel. We picked up the order. When we arrived to the room, there were no eating utensils. It was a snowy night with ice and sleet. We called back and the manager said, they don't provide utensils for carry out unless you request them. He said, people gave utensils at home and don't need his. I explained we were at a hotel. I then asked if I could return the uneaten salad the next day for a refund. They said, NO. It was a $13.00 garden salad that was mostly iceberg lettuce, shaved carrots and red onions. I am warning anyone who might order, be sure to ASK for eating utensils. The attitude was worst than the mediocre salad. read more

While driving through Pennsylvania, we checked out Yelp for a dinner restaurant. Since we missed lunch, it was going to be an early dinner. Filippo's Italian Restaurant in Williamsport appeared to be just what we were looking for, and was not far off our route. Turns out, we made a great decision and had a delicious dinner. It was a good thing we arrived a few minutes before 5 pm, as about 3/4 of the 16 tables were filled with hungry customers! Wait staff was friendly and service was quick. We were seated immediately and our drink order taken. The three bustling servers were on top of every table, checking for drink refills, more bread, and quality of food. Once our order was taken, the warm and delicious yeasty bread and butter arrived. Our salads were fresh, with tasty homemade dressings. The lasagna with meat sauce had delicate pasta and was delicious. The penne pasta with pesto and tomatoes was also excellent. Yelp reviews said it was a great place for dinner, and they were right. I ordered the chicken marsala and my partner ordered the seafood Filippo. Both entrees were sizable and very tasty. I would definitely eat here again. Worth noting: The place was MOBBED full of people at 6:00 on a Tuesday, and we had about a 15 minute wait to be seated. We stumbled upon Filippo's as we were driving on our way to New York. The first thing you'll notice about Filippo's is how easy it is to get to the location from the freeway. But then what you'll find unique about this place is the staff that works there. Just so full of life and so nice. A special shout out to Erica who served us tonight. Driving from Washington DC to Rochester, NY this past Friday decided to get a fast dinner as we went past the Little League museum in Williamsport, PA. My wife saw the Subway sign and said let's stop. As we got out we saw the sign for Filippo's and said maybe we should sit down and get a good hot meal. It was the best decision we made. We had the Greek pizza and Veggie Lasagna. It was as authentic as a Milanese restaurant. If you are hungry and want a small cosy restaurant, Filippo's is it. The pizza was fresh with tomatoes that were juicy and cooked to perfection. The appetizer, eggplant rollette, was delicious. All portions are huge and reasonably priced. Enjoy!! Used to be great food. Visited on a Saturday, end of April. I'm not sure what was going on but not the quality we had in previous visits. Way too much sauce on everything. Chicken piccata looked like a soup. Eggplant parmigiana was goop on a plate. Brought people from out of town and we were embarrassed. This was our first time here. There was plenty of parking when we arrived on a Saturday night. Had no problem finding a seat. Waitresses are very friendly. I ordered the Seafood Filippo which was extra large shrimp with asparagus, mushrooms, penne pasta with lobster sauce. It was an excellent dish!
