I finally got the appointment after calling the office about a dozen times over many months. I finally got the epidural, and at the pointless follow up appointment somebody other than Dr Kim came in the room and rudely barked a bunch of questions at me and then left the room without making eye contact or introducing himself, or telling me that I'm free to go, that was the whole appointment. I still don't know who he was or what the point of the follow-up was, I never saw Dr Kim again. They sent me the wrong bill 6 months ago and I tried contacting their biller many times to speak to them about the bill. I can't get ahold of them on the phone, and I get zero responses to emails. They continue to send me the wrong bill every couple of months, and every time I try to contact them with no response. Finally after 6 months and many attempts at contacting them, I got a response saying: We're working on it and every time you contact us you get bumped to the back of the line so stop contacting us. But they keep sending me the wrong bill! The procedure occurred nearly a year ago and this is still not resolved.

She will make her own opinions and assumptions even if your stating to her your having certain pain in a certain area she will not listen and lie to get you discharged. I went back for follow up with his PA Mike who said, no problem, very common, we'll repeat it ASAP and I'll submit for the authorization for that today. I gave them a week and then called to check the status. Left a message. No call back. Next two days, same thing again. Day 4 I called my insurance, they said nobody has submitted authorization for anything on your behalf. My insurance offered to call his office. They left a message. Still no call back or action. I have moved on to someone else who has the ability to follow through. They sure did bill my insurance for that visit that I got nothing out of though! Additionally I am perturbed by the onslaught of advertisements in his waiting room AND exam rooms for sexual enhancement and cosmetic treatments he offers. Perhaps his attention is too divided? It's been 4 weeks now and to this day no one from his office has returned my calls or followed through on my treatment plan.

To date, nobody had returned any of my calls or emails I've since moved on to a different spinal clinic. The doctors here might be wonderful, but if you can't get an appointment and they can't handle the little things, why would you trust them to handle the big things, like your spine???

Happy to report he took the time to methodically review family and medical histories, had wonderful bedside manner, and was in no hurry whatsoever. I remember being impressed with the time he spent asking probative questions or searching his knowledge before coming to any recommendations/conclusions. Having a compassionate disposition is an absolute must for any doctor. I won't address any specific reviews below, but Dr. Matson is the epitome of what you would expect out of any medical professional of the highest order. Take a moment to read some of the literature in his office, ask him a few questions, and you'll quickly see he's one of the doctors who still really, actually cares about your health and wellbeing. Lastly, I'd like to comment on the front desk nurses. I'll admit I thought they were a bit too curt on the phone at first, but after meeting them in person it's clear they take their job and your time very seriously.
