This was the second time we have used them. Dr. Becky and her assistant Taylor were wonderful. They explained the entire procedure to me and my husband. We weren't rushed so we could spend more time with her. When it was over, they wrapped her in a blanket (head showing) and my husband carried her to their car. It was a beautiful, peaceful, dignified passing for a wonderful dog. Thank you again for your kindness in a truly awful situation.

I truly want to thank everyone at Final Journey LLC for their help with my service dog's passing a month ago. Not only did they give Boxcar a beautiful transition, but they were so genuine and compassionate. Dr. Kristen Klie took such care in guiding us all through the process in the most peaceful way. Kevin, the vet tech who assisted when Boxcar passed, came back personally to bring him home a week later. The card we received with his urn was unbelievably kind, and even mentioned Boxcar's adventures and how much he loved pink. It was so touching and meant the world to us. If that tragic day is coming for your pet, I would recommend Final Journey one hundred times over. They are a real blessing.

TODAY At 11:30, this Vet, Dr. Klie injected two HEALTHY, sibling, bonded 6 yr Old Chows, named Bella and Rumple!! She stood guard on the porch, as I was there by 11:40 am. She said, "The PROCESS has begun and cannot be stopped." Two weeks ago, Melvin of Waterbury, CT. reached out as they were being evicted. Last ditch rescue plans were in place by my friend, Michele of Danbury. Deadline NOON. His parents then did a 180. The name is, Final Journey, a service comes to your home to put your SICK DOG DOWN; but, look~ these pups were healthy. Perfectly healthy CHOWS, needed their Chow familiar foster.....RIP. ***Dr. Klie of "FINAL JOURNEY"***, Monroe, CT. I met her, it's true!

I couldn't be more grateful to final journey in this humane and compassionate service they offer pet owners. Euthanasia has been offered for many years, but not in the way final journey offers this difficult and emotional service. It was time for my 16-year-old dog to cross that bridge and I chose final journey to assist in her crossing. Dr Klie and Kevin came to my home, they were compassionate and professional. Everything was explained, they don't rush you, they were understanding and respectful. My girl was able to be put to rest in the comfort of her home, surrounded by everyone who loved her and in her favorite bed. When it was done Dr. Klie and Kevin gave us as much time as we needed and went out to their car. The next day I received an email with condolences and links to help with the loss of a pet. They hand delivered my girls ashes with a handwritten note from Dr Klie and Kevin. If I had to describe final journey in one word it would be compassionate, from my first interaction to my last. They truly understand that Geezy was not just a pet, she was a family member. I would highly recommend final journey to anyone who is in need of this service.

When we got there they took Gracie out of the car and immediately assessed her. Unfortunately she had Hemangiosarcoma a very aggressive cancer which shows no signs or symptoms until it's to late. We were concerned that our cat, Molly, had been losing weight and eating less. When I found…read moremultiple piles of foamy vomit, we brought her in (around 6pm). We waited for hours in the waiting room, during which they took her vitals and told us they were normal. They finally took her away from us to be examined (which we didn't like), and then suggested bloodwork. Again, they took her, saying bloodwork would take a couple of hours. We went home for something to eat and called them back to check on Molly. They wanted to hold her there until they had the bloodwork results, but we told them we'd prefer to take her home while we waited. They resisted until my daughter called them to reinforce that we wanted to bring her home. When we picked her up around 11:30pm, we were only allowed to meet with a nurse, not the veterinarian. We were told that nothing on her bloodwork seemed too concerning, but there was evidence of infection and they'd give her an anti-nausea injection and fluids, and gave us antibiotics to administer at home. From the moment she crawled out of her carrier, Molly was a mess, walking unevenly, zombie-like, staring straight ahead. Her demeanor had been normal when we took her in. Called back to ask if she'd been sedated, they said no. Research indicated other people's cats had a bad reaction to the anti-nausea (Cerenia), but that it usually passed in 24-48 hours. We waited all the next day. Her condition did not improve. Got in to Oronoque Animal Hospital in Stratford at noon the next day. The veterinarian gently examined Molly in front of us, walked us through all of Shoreline's bloodwork results in detail, then performed an x-ray that showed a mass in her chest plus intestinal issues. She then arranged for us to immediately get an ultrasound at another hospital and called us before we'd even left there to explain the findings. Our cat was very, very sick with multiple internal masses. We brought her home and she died at home that night, less than 48 hours later after being discharged from Shoreline. If Shoreline had done any imaging (we asked about it, they didn't offer it to us), they would have found that she had severe issues and we could have spent the next two days making her comfortable and arranging euthanasia at home. Instead, we spent one day waiting for the Cerenia to leave her system as she declined, and the next day driving around to get a proper diagnosis. She died at home that night, before the euthanasia appointment, and it was a terrible death that my family will never forget. $1,100 worth of charges for an exam and bloodwork from Shoreline and we got sent home with antibiotics from a discharge nurse. Not even allowed discussion with the veterinarian when we picked her up. "That's not our protocol." They should be ashamed of themselves.

Initially I was in favor of doing it this way at my Mothers discretion, she advertised it as a "beautiful thing" that would be personable, and intimate...It was the exact opposite. She shows up eager to get the process over with, and your pets last conscious moments will be getting tricked with a plate of whipped cream while she grabs them to inject the anesthesia. As I was understandably distraught and voicing my criticism's for the process which didn't reflect what was advertised, this liberal nutjob woman (who showed up in a mask lmao) THREATENED to stop the process and leave AFTER the anesthesia had been administered. Very professional. While I cried into my cats ear telling him how much I loved him, I had to be reminded by this woman "he can't hear you", and then asked "what's your favorite memory with him?" As my mother & I are breaking down sobbing over his body. 1,000$ for this by the way. It's all just for show, the selling point is having a half assed casket vigil in her trunk where she expects you to praise her as if she's doing God's work. To be honest, I didn't even frel comfortable having this woman drive off with my deceased Cat in her car, let alone her accompany my last moments with him. All to pick up his ashes at an animal hospital anyway....it's a sham. Like I said, you're better off doing it the traditional way or letting them pass peacefully on their own. This happened months ago and the fact i'm going out of my way to write this review now should show you how deeply dissatisfied I am with how it played out. It's just a way to scam sentimental people like my mother out of money they're more than willing to pay because of the love for their animals by pulling at their heart strings. If you're reading this; sincerely, Fuck. You.

The office he works out of is interested in 1 thing. Not my pet's well being. They are interested in money. The deal was a flat "package deal" of $6500. This was supposed to be $1000 discount as per Dr Lesser. This was said to me and my wife VERY clearly. That was the fee and no additions unless something went horribly wrong. Thankfully nothing did. He is healing. At each time of bringing Harvey in for the next step the office staff attempted to overcharge me. Each time I explained that the arrangement was a package deal of $6500. Each time they had to consult someone else as if it is not stated clearly on the invoice they and I both have copies of. Each time they backed down. Until... today. We are 10 weeks out from removing his stiches. This is the timeframe that Dr Lesser instructed me to bring him back for his final xray to make sure everything is good. It was NEVER said that this xray was an additional fee. Never did anyone tell me when I made the appt that there was an additional fee. I got there this morning to be confronted with an $854 estimate for this xray. I protested and said exactly what I said the prior 2 times. I was being over charged for a "package deal". First by the nurse, then the office manager. I asked her to contact Dr Lesser. She claims he says that is not what he said. YES YOU DID! Dr Lesser I hope you read this and 1 of 2 things happens: either you chew out the people who lied about what you said and reschedule Harvey's included xray OR you call me at (631) 258-8766 and apologize for lying to me. One of you is lying. You absolutely said the price was $6500 for everything. I cannot, with good conscience, say my dog was mistreated in any way at this place but I DEFINITELY was. I guess the bottom line is you had better get every little thing in writing from this place as far as cost because they WILL try to screw you. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because Harvey is OK.
