This is now over 3 weeks after we lost one of the greatest loves of our lives, our cat Thomas, and I can finally find the will to write this due to the relief that working with Eric at Rainbow Bridge Crematory brought us. Not only at that terribly difficult time, but relief that actually increases as time passes knowing not only that yes, that actually IS Thomas in his beautiful little personal 'condo', but that he was treated with a sacred dignity that he, and every living creature truly deserves. During his short hospice phase the torturous thoughts began again - what to do with his remains after he passed. The beloved little body that I had loved beyond words, and put so much care into for the 14 years that he graced us with his presence - his life. I had been down this horrendous road 5 times before and the thought of leaving him on a table in a vets office to go through the cold, impersonal process that doesn't even feel guaranteed to actually be Thomas on the return - was once again beyond horrifying to me. As I sat down to research a private crematory experience as an alternative this time, Rainbow Bridge popped up. At first glance I thought it was too good to be true, or that it would be too expensive due to the quality of service - but as I read through their amazingly comforting and professionally well-designed website, and all about Eric, Liz and Blaze, and then read ALL the reviews - then came the true confirmation - I called and spoke with Eric, and I knew immediately this is where I would bring Thomas. Even before I was an actual client, Eric was kind, compassionate and sincere over the phone. Never pushy or leaving me with the feeling that he was just trying to make a sale, even though he didn't have to try very hard in that area anyway, because the service fee was so fair and actually far more affordable than the competitors - where not only do you not receive all the comforting, caring touches, but even more importantly to me personally, you have absolutely NO guarantee that your pet is your pet once returned. So, out of his own difficult personal experience, Eric has designed a 'dignified, respectful' start-to-finish-process that guarantees that your pet is returned to you as YOUR pet after being handled honorably. So again, to me, that is not only brilliant, but invaluable. After it was all said and done - the final results were even better than expected. On that difficult day, after we went to pick Thomas up in his new form, my husband and I sat in the car in awe. Not just at the beautifully presented Rainbow Bridge poem with his picture in it, or his sweet, clay pawprint and furry prayer card, but again at the total relief once again, of knowing he was treated with Eric's complete process of Sacred Integrity. Honestly, I cannot think of any better words to describe Rainbow Bridge Crematory. Kindness, Integrity, Compassion, Sincerity, Peace, Sacred Professionalism, Fair, and Grace! On July 8th our dear dog Casey crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Casey was a beautiful cockapoo who gave our family fourteen wonderful fun filled years. From the day we brought him home as a puppy until the last few weeks he made us laugh, provided hugs and kisses to us all along with keeping us all in line as he knew he ran our house. So when that hard decision day came to contact our veterinarian we also knew that we wanted to have Casey cremated and brought back home to us. As Casey was such an important part of our family I wanted to insure that he came back to us. Never having to go through this with one of our own pets I was not sure where to start. I began looking on the internet for locations that specialized in private pet cremations. I found Eric DiBartolo and his wife Liz who own the Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematory in Yorktown Heights. I called Eric that morning and explained our situation with Casey and that we would be taking him to his doctor that afternoon. Eric was so compassionate and comforting talking about Casey, what services Rainbow Bridge offered, and offering to meet my wife and I at Rainbow Bridge after Casey's passing. We often say that the right people come into our lives at the most important time they are needed and that is how we feel about Eric, Liz, and Rainbow Bridge. I wanted to share our exceptional experience. When I called, I knew we had found the right place, because the person I spoke with was professional and courteous. He was detailed about the private cremation entire process and the price is very reasonable. I made a 10 a.m. appointment day of my appointment. I told him I am coming from Queens, NY and was running a half an hour behind schedule. After we arrived, Eric was there to receive us, He told us it was no problem. They allows you to witness the whole process if you want. You don't know that when a Vet or other places handles it, they may tell you that you're getting your Pet back but you're not. I felt relieved knowing we were taking her home. He completed the entire process in about 1 hour We were given Sophie's remains in a nice urn that we picked out for her, and were also given a clay with her paw print, piece of her hair and a thoughtful rainbow bridge poem with the frame which have place to put her picture. Since we did not sent her picture on time she gave us a blank one so we could put a picture our self. Eric's wife went above and beyond to provide the best service possible. She took the time to mail a one with picture, with her own expense. Please if anyone is thinking about adopting or getting a furry soul mate, please adopt from an animal shelter, so many animals in need of love. They never forgot that they got second chance in life. My Family is devastated with her loss, she was so special to us and we can't find enough comfort in our hearts to make his passing ease the pain. They were absolutely amazing, caring and compassionate people to help through a very difficult time. We lost our Bella tragically in a devastating accident on September 28, 2018. She was brought to the emergency hospital but later passed away due to her substantial injuries. We were devastated beyond belief. Our friend Fernando recommended we call Eric and Liz at Rainbow Bridge Pet Crematory. I called Eric the next morning and he was so comforting, warm and very sympathetic. He assured me that he would go pick Bella up so that her body was in his care. He went right to the hospital and called me when he had Bella with him to reassure me. The following day our family met with Liz and Eric to discuss our options. They could NOT have been more sweeter and kinder. We picked out what we wanted for our Bella and received Bella back within 48 hours. On Jan. 23, 2020 our little 15 year, 10 mo. old Shih-Tzu "Harley" passed away. We had made a decision that we would have him cremated. We researched several crematories and were not completely satisfied. Our biggest concern was that we would be 100% comfortable with the entire process. Then we came across Rainbow Bridge. After reading about Eric And Liz and that they were pet lovers and had dogs of their own, we called Eric and after speaking with him we made arrangements to have a private cremation. We made an appointment for Jan. 27th at 9:30 am. We arrived on the 27th, Eric was there to greet us at the entrance. As soon as we entered the facility we had a feeling of comfort with the surroundings. There was only Eric and my wife and i. The entire time was devoted to us. We were able to witness the entire process as Eric walked us through every step of the procedure. He was extremely patient and answered all of our questions. We truly appreciate how caring he was. Our dog had been very ill for a while and his last 48 hours were very challenging for us. We couldn't tell if he would pass on his own or if we would need to make the dreaded call to the vet! We did make that call to our vet and the timing of everything was a bit uncertain all morning. I called RBPC to schedule the cremation for the same day, not knowing the exact time we would get there. I know they were very booked but Eric was absolutely wonderful! We had called multiple times and he could tell we were really distressed and he said, "I know you are already having a hard day so I will find a way to accommodate you." And he did!! He and his wife were so compassionate when we got there, I couldn't stop crying and they made us feel very comfortable. Ginger, my American Bulldog was not just a pet, a protector of my family and my home but she was the most loyal and loving companion a person could ever have. On 5/4/18 our families heart was broken. Our beautiful girl Cookie had to be laid to rest. It was the most difficult thing I ever had to do. I was fortunate enough to have a caring vet that came to my home so Cookie did not have to go to the place she dreaded most. Having her home gave me some peace of mind. When I recently lost my beloved gentle Lola I wanted her cremated and was referred to Eric at Rainbow Bridge. He immediately calmed me down and explained everything to me. Every pet is cared for as if they were there's. It is such a stressful time but Eric made sure I remaimed calm. He was sympathetic caring and very patient. So I called them and asked the a lot of question which they were more than eager to answer. I placed a call to Rainbow Bridge when I knew that my beloved little girl, Bella's passing was imminent. Liz answered my call and impressed me with her kindness and compassion, and I knew that my precious kitty would be in the best hands when the time came. we lost our cat Rob unexpectedly this past Sunday morning at 6:14am. we were beside ourselves as you can imagine wondering what we do. After calling another place they suggested Rainbow Bridge in Yorktown. In 2010 Grace and I returned from Iraq, where together we served as a Combat Tracking Team. I was fortunate to have been able to keep her after our tour.
