Making the decison to say goodby to Origami was one of the most painful and confusing times in my life. If you are struggling to help your pet transition in a pain free way and would like to do it in your home with the most gentle and kind person, please choose Alexis. I will miss my sweet sweet Angel for the rest of my life but I feel grateful knowing she wasnt afraid and felt safe and loved in her last moments. Thank you Alexis

It felt sad as anything to say goodbye but she made it a peaceful process while celebrating his life. Cannot thank Dr. Alexis enough and if anyone ever needs end of life care, I would highly recommend her.

She did not rush through and was gentle with our cat and with us. Paws at Peace offers some extras (a paw print and a bit of fur in a little jar) in addition to cremation options. I initially thought these things were silly but I am glad we got them. It was easy to make the arrangements. We called at 8 AM and got a same day appointment. We got a text of the expected time and an update when there was a very slight delay. We got a follow up text the next day, with an offer for grief support. This is a well run organization. They know what they are doing. Best of all, they did not cause any additional grief to what was already a very sad day.

He was only five years old so even though our time together was short, he brought more love and joy into my life than I ever thought possible. I first contacted Paws at Peace a few months before I ultimately had to make the decision. Colleen was my first point of contact, and from the very beginning she was warm, patient, and understanding that I was still trying to figure out whether it was the right time. At that time March, Applesauce thankfully still had some good days ahead of him. But by May, he had slowed down significantly and was in a lot of pain so I knew it was time. Dr. Zhu came to our home and was so kind, compassionate, and gentle in a way that made an incredibly heavy moment feel just a little lighter. She never rushed anything and gave us extra time with him, which was something I had been so afraid wouldn't happen. She asked about his favorite toys, and in his final moments I found myself reminiscing about him with her as if she were a friend who had known us both for years, even though we had just met. After he passed, he was wrapped in a beautiful blanket and placed in a basket. I carried him down the stairs and brought him to the car for cremation. Saying goodbye to him was heartbreaking beyond words, but the way Dr. Zhu handled every step was so thoughtful and tender that I feel deeply grateful he was in such caring hands. I truly feel so thankful that my vet recommended Paws at Peace to me. They even followed up afterward with a beautiful card and continued support, which meant more than I could express. In such an unbearable moment, they made me feel held, supported, and cared for throughout. They helped make one of the hardest days of our lives a little more bearable and surrounded by so much love and compassion.

Her wisdom and forethought went above and beyond my expectations, and believe me, I had rehearsed this terrible day many times in my head. My call was promptly returned, a convenient time scheduled, and the process discussed. During this time of social distancing, some special accommodations needed to be made, but they in no way interfered with the love my dog received that day. Dr Dale played music made for dogs ears only and was extremely comforting to me as well. She made a clay print of my dogs paw, which I will cherish forever. The support Dr Dale gave that day extends far beyond as she checked in on me and provided access to support groups. When I picked up my dogs remains, they where surrounded by meditation gardens and considering the circumstances (pandemic restrictions) I couldn't have asked for anything more comforting and reassuring that my dog was truly loved and that I had made the right decision. Saying goodbye to a beloved family member is never easy, but Peaceful Transitions made it as positive an experience as it could be. Our sweet senior dog had been dealing with some health problems, but when we woke up this morning he was unable to walk and was showing signs of neurological issues. When he didn't improve throughout the morning we were about to take him to the emergency vet as his usual vet is closed on Sunday, but then I saw a listing for Peaceful Transitions and we decided to give them a call. They were so incredibly kind on the phone and even though it was a Sunday and they had a full schedule today, they were able to fit us in only a few hours later. They explained the entire process to us over the phone and answered all of our questions, helped us with planning arrangements for after he passed and we were able to pay our invoice easily online before our appointment . Our little guy always got very nervous at the vet, so having someone come out to the house where he could be comfortable and peaceful in his own environment was a blessing. Dr. Matheson was so kind and extremely patient, he examined our little guy, went over our options with us and reviewed the entire process once we were sure we wanted to move forward. They encouraged us to have a special treat for him and a favorite toy, to help distract him while the doctor got him ready. He never could eat bacon normally as it upset his tummy, but he loved it and was so happy to munch on pieces of it while the doctor got prepped for the procedure. We were able to say goodbye to him as he rested peacefully in his own bed surrounded by his favorite toys and blankets and the people who loved him. After the procedure was completed Dr. Matheson stepped out to allow us some time alone to say goodbye, and then made us a nose and paw print and framed them for us. He transferred him into a basket lined with blankets and let us carry him out to the car, to be with him for his final journey. He was so kind and supportive every step of the way, and we are forever grateful to have had this experience. Our hearts are broken over losing our baby, but this is the only way I would ever want to do this again in the future. No rushing to the vet, no fear for our dog in a strange environment, just love and respectful care as we said goodbye. We were also concerned that the price for in-home euthanasia would be too expensive for us, but it actually was in line with what our vet would have charged, and cheaper than the emergency vet. Thank you again to Dr. Matheson and Peaceful Transitions for making what is a stressful and difficult experience as positive as it could be, and for taking such wonderful care of our little guy and us.

First it was they cut 2 nails on 2 different paws to short and he was bleeding all over our floors and his bed. Then again 2 nails cut short only this time one of the nails split down the middle and caused pain and limping for over a week. The groomer actually blamed my wife for his nails being to long which is the farthest from the truth, this dog comes to work with me every day and walks on cement and hard flooring all day his nails are not long. He also gets grooms 4 times a year at $200 a groom with a generous tip. The last groom we said no nail cutting. A few days after we noticed a spot on his back and found they had sheered a small cyst he had on his back since he was a puppy and said nothing. We don't shave him close either we request a #3 setting so it's not to short. He must have yelped loud in pain. The cut then got infected and $600 later and 2 weeks of antibiotics he is finally healing. They also found under a microscope bacteria, according to the vet it's from the sheers being dirty This dog is the sweetest dog I ever had and since he is my service dog I am very in tune with him, he definitely suffered and deserves more. We will no longer be using them.
