All I can say is WOW! A freak accident resulted in the motherboard of my desktop being "fried." Of course this occurred after normal business hours. I am a small business and can't afford to be without access to my files even for a short time. Plus we were leaving for an out of town wedding in less than 24 hours. Joe was amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and was able to recover my mom's desktop, saving us from having to make a big computer purchase right away. When my hard drive crashed and I exhausted every online help I could find, I searched for computer repair on Yelp and found Joe at Find A Nerd. Joe worked in corporate IT before starting his own business so knows how most help-desks work and he is far superior. He actually listens to what you think is the problem, everything you've tried to fix it, suggests other fixes over the phone if possible, and then takes the machine to fix it. Joe knows his stuff. He knows it SO well that he can explain it, repeatedly if needed without snark, so I can understand it. Joe rebuilt my PC - not with every bell and whistle with associated cost, but he rebuilt it to be more than adequate for what I use it, with robust, secure, and fast processing. Joe has connections in the IT world to help with data recovery - which was fabulous because I did not have adequate back-ups of my data.
