My check engine light came on while I was vacationing in St. George. With a 9 hour drive home in the next few days, I panicked. Findlay worked to get my car into the shop and fixed the issue so I was able to drive home when I had planned. I was hiking in Zion so phone service was going to be an issue so I connected them with my father to make any car related decisions. They had quoted my father a $500.00 fix the issue and while I felt that was extremely high for a engine sensor fix, we agreed to the work because I didn't have a choice. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was pleasantly told the cost was less and my car was ready to go. Instead of $500.00 it ended up being close to $300.00. I believe the labor was less than they thought. Car repairs can be expensive so I was surprised and super pumped at paying less! Phew! I am very thankful for Findlay fixing my car. I was only there to clear codes off my car not only were they not able too but They broke two pieces of my air filter covering off when I got my car back they did not inform me about it. I've been trying to get in touch with someone to help me but apparently there's no one who can help.When I finally reached someone for help I was told it's because my car is too old, a 10 year old car is not that old and either way i should have been informed if something had broke while my car was in the care of the mechanic. read more

We have been a long time VW family. The cars are bulletproof and almost indestructible. So we alway buy them so that is the easy decision - the hard one is where to buy them. It was time to replace our Tiguan and we called to dealerships in SLC, Vegas and St. George. Gabe answered the phone and instantly knew what was available on the lot, knew if the options we wanted were available and was able to summarize what moving from our 2017 to the 2022 would add. We said we were interested but needed to consider others. His follow up was sincere and not over powering. Very personable. We made the decision to buy with Gabe - he didn't disappoint. He helped us negotiate a more than fair trade in value for the 2017 and worked with Zane in finance to get up us the lowest interest rate possible in these terrible times of inflation and soaring rates. How to lose a sale, by Quinn. First, the salesperson we were chatting with, Grant, was cool and the opposite of what we ultimately experienced when we met Quinn after the test drive. We went there wanting to look at a Tiguan or an atlas and there's a reason they have plenty of stock while other dealers have low numbers or no numbers of used cars. VW aren't exactly quality and for the price we are definitely getting something else, however the experience with Quinn was why we'll NEVER go here for anything. If they had a used car we wanted we wouldn't go there. After the test drive my better half and myself were talking in the Tiguan with grant and saying things we didn't like at the price, particularly the carpet, the lack of a brake hold and how cheap some of the interior felt. Quinn waddled out of the door and asked how we liked it and my wife was honest but it was obvious Quinn didn't like hearing about how his product had faults, and guess what, nobody is going to love any car they have and not complain about it. In so many words he was talking shit about our car in front of us then talked shit about grant, in front of him, for not having official business cards because he was too new. What goes through these fucks heads while interacting with the public is something I'll never understand. They had a couple of SUVs we were looking at in the used section but no way will we ever give this place business. Like I said VW are shite and there's a reason they have a lot full of new cars that are just sitting there. Couple that with Quinn and it's a recipe for disaster. read more

After a string of poor experiences with the service department this year, I was willing to drive to Vegas for future services. Thankfully, there is now someone in the service department that has turned it all around! Martine (not sure of spelling) is awesome! Didn't talk down to me, as the former service guy had, and did everything he said he would do. He explains everything in detail, and treats customers with respect. I've never felt so taken advantage of. Last week my car overheated when I was 6 hours away from home and appeared to have a leak. I've always had excellent experiences with my local VW dealership in northern Utah, so I chose to go with the VW dealership in St. George. I took the car in, waited over 3 days before they looked at it, then was told that I could pick it up Tuesday morning. They needed to replace the heatercore and water hose, which wasn't covered under warranty. They replaced a blinker bulb and performed an oil change. I was told the total would be just over $900. I hadn't heard from anyone by noon on Tuesday, so I called to check on the status. The service person was annoyed and let me know that it wouldn't be done until that afternoon. I finally got a call at 5:00 pm. The bill I was given was over $1100. When I asked what the additional $200 was for, I was told that they already went over that with me on the phone. ?? I also noticed that I was charged $67 for antifreeze, even though I let them know that I had an unopened container of G60 antifreeze in the car that they could use (which cost me $20...I'm not sure where they get their ultra premium antifreeze?). My local VW dealer has also spoiled me with a clean, vacuumed car every time I've picked it up. But Findlay returned a car that was somehow dirtier than I left it. I guess I'm just a stupid woman who should shut up and wait for people to call me, even though the time they promised to have the repairs done had passed. I'm also a stupid woman who should just suck it up when they charge me $200 more than they originally quoted, and I definitely shouldn't expect an explanation. I was too nice to be a jerk in the store, and all I wanted to do was get on the road for my 6-hour drive home that night. But I can definitely leave a bad review. I don't like doing it, but this one was well earned. read more

We were looking for a used car and found one we liked on the Findlay website. We traveled from Arizona to look at the car and when we arrived we were told the car was $4700.00 more than the online post. The dealership informed us that they were not going to honor the online price stating it was a mistake. Regardless of the incorrect post made by a Findlay employee I expected that the online price be honored. I even offered to meet the dealership halfway on the price and I was told that was not possible. I was disappointed with the customer service and believe that the shady dealings I received today are common place at this dealership. read more

Customer service was friendly and polite. There's no shuttle service because of Covid so make sure you have a ride or are able to sit and wait for however long. Went in to get my radio assessed cause it broke down on me. They charged $140 to tell me my radio was dead (which I already knew) and then let me know a new radio would be $750+. read more

I brought my vehicle in for a scheduled oil change. This basic service took 3 1/2 hours, the staff I worked with were rude, and they dented the grill of my vehicle in several places. I reached out about the damage and haven't heard back from them in over a month. I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt but it appears others have had identical issues. Had an appointment at 8:30am thought that'd be early enough so I can get to school at noon. Nope took 3 hours for an oil change and to replace the air filters. Service man Holt came by and told me one of the air filter would be $20 and the other would be $25. Sure I'll do that. Next thing you know the labor for the air filters costs more than the labor for the oil change. This is the third time I've had trouble with my car down in St. George and the second time at Findlay Volkswagen. Already filed a formal complaint but nothings gonna come out of it. Never coming back here. PS if you have signs all over the dealership saying to wear a mask but your employees won't even follow that's a shitty establishment to me. read more

The repairs made to my VW were done correctly and in a timely manner. I recently bought this VW used from a dealer in Cedar City (Bradshaw Chevy). They were unscrupulous and didn't disclose some problems the car had before I bought it. Findlay VW has done a great job making things right with the car. read more

Knowing it could not be driven I was stressed as we had to drive back Sunday for work and school. A one star visit at a four star dealership. I bought a 2013 Jetta Stationwagen from these guys and the car is amazing over all. I bought the car on a Monday and on Saturday night as I'm driving more than 60 miles away from Saint George, the coil warming light started flashing indicating an engine malfunction. I rushed down there first thing Monday morning and when I tell the service people what happened and that I just bought the car and that I need to be in Idaho on Wednesday they told me that they may be able to squeeze it in today but it will probably have to wait until Tuesday or later, even after I told them I need to leave to drive up to Idaho for school on Wednesday and that I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR FROM THEM. I had to talk directly to the service manager, who the lady "helping" us was like trying to shield him or something. It was clear she didn't want s talking to him. Finally after what felt like pulling teeth and hanging around in the dealership for literally 4 freaking hours, they took it to the back and fixed the problem. Once they found the problem it only took them less than 20 minutes to switch out the part. And thankfully I didn't have to pay. This is a great dealership and some of the people working there are amazing. When it came to buying my car, they were awesome and super helpful. When it came to the possibility of them selling me a broken car, they were dodgy and could have been a lot more helpful. read more

I took my car in for 2 recalls and its 20,000 mile check. When I returned to pick up my car five hours later they were just finishing it. When it was done they handed me my keys and a car wash coupon and told me they would send me a receipt. When I got home I noticed there was four small dents in the hood of my car. The tires were not rotated which should have been done with the 20,000 mile inspection. And as I was given no receipt and still have not received one I have no idea if they did anything other than damage my vehicle! I contacted them but have not heard a word. read more

I was driving home to California through St George when my VW radiator sprang a leak. After making arrangements to get towed to this dealership, I called to see when they could take a look at the car and they said they couldn't help me today and no guarantee they could see it tomorrow! I mentioned I was from out of town and unable to take an indefinite amount of time waiting in a different city. Their answer was "last time someone from California needed a repair here, they were stuck here for a week." REALLY?? I understand dealerships can get busy but nobody likes to feel completely abandoned by a brand that they trust. The representative Josh and his "tough crap" attitude were the worst and I had no choice but to scramble and go somewhere else. I expected more from Volkswagen and was truly disappointed. read more

My sales man was a good as they come, but the manager Quinn was the worst, he did not act like he wanted to help me find the car that I wanted and also was not willing to be fair on my trade in, he wanted to give me less than half on my current VW CC, something to do with a Finlay Policy, I am a sales man, and I know what type of experience you should have and you are not going to get it here. No dealer had the car I wanted and when I found out they Findlay had it, I got on the phone and was luckily enough to get a hold of Quinn. They had the worst customer service I've ever experience in dealing with a leased vehicle. They did not work with us like they promised they would when we were thinking about purchasing the car. When we first leased a Jetta SE the salesman promised they would negotiate the buying price at the end of the lease. Also, he promised if we went over our allotted miles we wouldn't be charged over mileage fees on the account that we trade in and lease again or bought the Jetta out of the lease. We tried buying the Jetta but they would not negotiate the price and were trying to charge us for going over the mileage. So, we decided to try trading it in and lease a different car but they tried to stiff us and throw on the over mileage fees on top of the new lease price. The sales manager Quinn was a total con man and very rude. I will never use Findley Volkswagen again. SAVE yourself some pain and frustration by not using them! read more

Let me begin by giving high marks to Pam in the service department. Our 2013 Touareg TDI was at Findlay at the end of September for an oil leak. Turns out the diesel recall (Dieselgate) was responsible for the turbo going out. Turbo was replaced, compliments of VW of America. This was all Pam, doing her job and finding out there was a recall for the turbo. The car developed another oil leak (another recall of some sort, hard to keep track of them all). I took it in on December 2 and it was there for 17 days, one oil leak fixed, another sprouted. I had a loaner car for all that time. VW of America paid for the first leak then Findlay split the cost of the second one with us. This fix took a lot longer than anticipated and we HAD to have our car back by the 20th to go pick up our new trailer in Vegas on the 21st, got it back on the 19th...whew! I know they don't want to see our car back there for any more oil leaks but we will return for routine service. read more

I am an unfortunate 2011 VW TDI owner that broke down on my way from S. CA to S. Idaho and was towed to Findlay in St George to see why I lost all power just outside of Mesquite, after being stranded there overnight, they finally got around to looking at my car the next day and I was told it needed the High Pressure Fuel Pump and that VW would take care of it after they sent fuel samples for testing. They then said it would take 2 weeks and assured me that my rental car would be covered so I shelled out $475 and they took a copy of my receipt and NEVER paid me back. It was unbelievable to me that I had a full tank of diesel and not even replace my fuel or wash my car which was absolutely filthy. I complained and they said that is how it goes and gave me a coupon for a drive thru car wash and said there was nothing they could do about my fuel. Since this repair was nearly $6k I would think they would go out of their way to act like they care and I feel I was given substandard customer care because it was a VW paid repair, it was a very costly breakdown for me and I was unable to continue on my trip because the only rental I could find in the ENTIRE town was a full sized truck that GUZZLED gas and not in my budget to continue. THEN I had to drive it back up there to retrieve my VW 2 weeks later when it was finished and deal with the lack of consideration by this dealership. I would rather go to the dentist for a root canal then deal with them again. read more
