I have another dog that is very shy and timid. I talked to the staff a bit about how best to handle a bath and grooming for her. They made me feel like they'd take really good care of her. They said they would start with a bath and go slow with the blower and see how she does. They assured me they'd stop at any point if she got too anxious with the process. She did well and I picked her up a few hours later with her smelling great with a nice trim as well. She looked amazing. I am really happy with the staff at Cali Petz. Everyone is very kind and willing to talk about any concerns I had throughout the process. I will definitely be going back for dog grooming. It started very well in the beginning early last year. But, today I picked up my dog and she was shaved again! They had her in there for 3hours! Just to shave all her fur! :( I asked for a trim half an inch on the body (I don't want her shaved, keep her fluffy) shave the tummy, clean private parts, teeth cleaning and bath. I had her groomed to be ready for a photo and now she's shaven. I'm so upset! This is the second time they did this to us. And, I can't be understanding anymore. Last time was last November 2025. So she's, ready for the holiday festivities and photos. But, she was shaved! I had to have her wear sweaters all winter because she was getting cold and looked malnourished. And, they offer a free grooming for next time! Why in the world would I bring my dog to them again. No consistency! Both times it was the same person at the drop off. I have nothing good to say to this place anymore.

Had been referred by some folks I see at the Morgan Hill Dog Park. Great experience - Becky showed me her whole place and set-up - she is both sole owner and sole groomer - and had super patience dealing with one very tired cat that ended up needing a total shave and bath as well as the less grumpy and happier dog kid. Becky shared she likes to minimize stress on all furry clients and tries to coordinate so that one is leaving with its parent as another comes in vs. having furry kids waiting in kennels. She does cats which is cool and has some larger long-haired cats at home of her own. Calling again today to book our next appointment :-)

The team members who used to provide excellent service, like Nicole and Mandi, are no longer there, and the difference is noticeable. On my last visit, I was charged $125 for a simple dog bath, which already felt excessive. Then, unlike in the past, I never received the usual appointment reminder texts. As a result, I missed my next appointment. What happened next was the final straw. Instead of reaching out with any understanding or asking what happened, I received a text a week later demanding payment of a late cancellation fee. Seriously? If you're going to charge premium prices, customers should be able to expect premium service and basic communication. When your own reminder process fails, immediately trying to collect a fee doesn't feel customer-focused at all. That experience completely ruined it for me. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, and I can no longer recommend this business based on the level of service I recently

Please be careful when choosing a groomer…read more I'm sharing this for all the pet lovers out there. Please use caution when choosing a groomer at Alicia's Pet Grooming. During my dog's grooming appointment, the technician called to tell me they had "nicked" my dog and asked whether I wanted them to finish the grooming or if I wanted to pick her up. After seeing the photo they sent of her, naturally, I was horrified and immediately picked her up without completing the service. I rushed her to the emergency vet, where I was told this was far more than a small nick. The clippers had caused a large laceration that exposed her muscle, and she required sedation and two stitches. I had been bringing my dog to this groomer regularly, and I want to be clear that I'm not trying to blame the business as a whole. They did take responsibility by covering my veterinary bill, and I appreciate that. However, paying the bill doesn't erase the pain my dog endured or the emotional distress this caused both of us. I'm sharing my experience because I believe it's important for pet owners to be aware and to ask questions about the technician caring for their pets. I hope no one else has to go through what we did. Please hug your fur babies a little tighter tonight.
