I usually use the one in Devon and it's a great store. Nice selection and knowledgeable staff that can help pick out the perfect bottle.

Love this place! They have a ridiculous amount of beers to choose from. A beer lovers dream come…read moretrue. Not only do they have craft beer of high quality, the designs on the bottles and cans are pieces of art. I live in California and my Father in law lives in PA. Being that we know the quality of brews, we wanted to specifically buy a 12 pack from here as a gift for Father's Day. The staff was beyond helpful as I had no clue what to select or how to get it delivered. Mike hand picked all of the beer out, boxed them, added two beer glasses, a Fathers Day card, and delivered it for us! I know this was a huge exception. I'm blown away at the service, kindness, great taste in beer and going the extra mile with buying a greeting card. Tremendous gratitude to the staff and this place! In my opinion, no need to go anywhere else. Great prices, great service, and a vast variety of options. Thank you so much Mike and Nicole! You rock!

From seriously obscure to Bud Light, they truly have it all. My wife and I ventured here in search of stuff to drink over the weekend and not only found more than what we wanted, but we could pick a couple chilled brews and drink them on site. They have a little hangout area with TVs. Not sure about their food rules, but if I can bring a pizza in here, grab a beer from their fridge and watch a game, I would come here...often. The staff was friendly, their have their own parking. The whole experience was fantastic. Obviously coming back. Probably this week.

While I certainly understand the benefits of our "free market" for booze in NJ (well, hardly free, but let's say controlled in a different way), I've come to learn that the acquisition of alcohol in the Commonwealth of PA doesn't have to be a bad experience. "Fine Wine & Good Spirits" is the equivalent to a "state store" or "ABC store" in other states that run their alcohol sales at the government level. This particular location was clean, surprisingly well-stocked at a time right between Xmas and New Years, and made for a fairly quick in and out. I enjoyed browsing their wine aisles featuring selections from all over the place, with a section for local PA wines. The spirit section also looked pretty good, with local varieties available in that category as well. Check-out was fast and friendly, nice tall plexiglass and mask worn by the cashier. The only drawbacks are the Byzantine parking setup: the front of the store suddenly becomes a "wrong way," forcing you to park to the left in a certain area. There are spaces right in front of the entrance, but they must be dedicated to the bank next door. Also, the chilled fridge wasn't too big considering the size of the store. The restrooms were oddly closed, and the "one way" traffic markers on the floor of each aisle were ignored, as seems to be the norm at retailers of all stripes these days. All in all, don't hesitate to swing by this state store if you just want to grab a couple bottles and get out. The prices for New Zealand Sauvignon blanc weren't bad, actually cheaper than a few places here in NJ. Plus you can check things out on their very comprehensive website before you go.

As such, it lacks any curb appeal, and requires entry into the market and a hard left turn to reach the entrance of the liquor department. It is smaller than the more recent LCB retail outlets now found in Newtown, and lacks the attractiveness and consumer friendly signs and layout now available elsewhere. By necessity, the selection is smaller and the experience less enjoyable, so the customer is left without much guidance regarding where to find what she/he is looking for. It is easily a decade or two behind the times. We stopped in to pick up a bottle of Chianti to accompany our Italian dinner in downtown Yardley. We ultimately selected a bottle of Ruffino on sale for about $10. It was fine with both our steak and chicken plates. Still, it would have been much better had we had more choice. In fact, after a solid meal in that famous house on Main Street, we drove to New Jersey to Joe Canal's to purchase sufficient wine to restock our wine cabinet. Now, those folks have the inventory and right prices, especially when we are members of their discount buyers club. This older outlet just can't compete.

But Philly Steaks and Beer is right by where I work, and it has a wonderful selection so I love it here. What really helped, though, was the fact that the customer service was very, very good. The people who come in here seem to be regulars and are all very friendly. One of the staff members actually gave me a small tour around the store, which was most appreciated. She showed me where all their new beers were. I took home a few, and was pretty pleased by their prices. They also have some food here, which is pretty cool! I will be coming here for quite a while, as a craft beer store was much needed in these parts. I highly recommend it.

Thanks for all the attention, Slugo. Prices higher than most. Best to buy your beer at lower cost and greater collection at the larger discount house or New Jersey.
