Troy was amazing! Responsive, reliable, and honest! Our garage door and gate needed service (both were creaky and unreliable to open/close). Another provider on Yelp (who shall remain nameless) said we needed to replace the side tracks, rollers, springs, brackets, cables and drums on the garage door, and put new sensors, wheel and bracket on the gate, at a price of $3595 (door) plus $1740 (gate). The line item in the quote for lubrication of the gate alone was $315! Troy came and fixed both, including replacing the rollers, lubricating everything, and stabilizing the gate cover (the main source of the closing problem). My brother accidentally backed into my garage one night, causing some minor cosmetic damage and popping out two rivets on one of the support frames on my garage. My overhead door spring broke and the motor blew up last night, and as it usually happens, it was a Thursday night. What were the chances of getting someone out on a Friday to take a look at it. I called Finest City and Troy told me he had the parts available, gave me an estimate and that he could be there in 2 hours. My 1.5 year-old metal 2-car garage door derailed half-way down while closing. As a result, the brackets/railing got bent out of shape and the cable came off the pulley. I also added to the damage by forcefully closing the garage door all the way, for obvious reasons. I called Finest City Garage doors and a young lady answered my call. She was very helpful by telling me all my options and what the typical costs would be if any parts would be needed. Troy came out the for the service call, diagnosed the problem and confirmed that he would be able to fix it for a flat service call rate. About an hour later, everything was not only fixed right but the garage door was working even better/quieter than it was from day 1. Troy went even beyond the repair and also did the necessary maintenance: he readjusted the chain position on the opener, tensioned the springs, oiled the hinges, and tested the safety sensor. Finally, he spent about 10 minutes educating me how my door is suppose to look/feel/sound when opening/closing and when it is in the up/down resting position. He also gave me some DIY maintenance tips to prolong the life of the door and opener. I am so glad I called them. Doesn't get better than this. read more
