We booked a limo and a shuttle for a Wedding in Geneva, NY The Limo driver had no idea where he was supposed to be and at what time. The shuttle driver was very nice, but she was not given my correct phone #, so she couldn't get a hold of me for the first 2 hours of the evening. At the end of the evening she was told to NOT make the last shuttle trip because it was 11:36---6 minutes past our slotted time. Fitzgerald Bros told her to not bring home the Bride and Groom and 22 other guests unless they were paid another $120. Earlier in the week, I was told we would be given a 30 minute grace period. The Sales Mgr was RUDE and inflexible, and would not refund the $120 I paid in cash---AFTER I pleaded with the driver to bring them back to the hotel. Will NEVER use this company again read more

I received confirmations during the process and guidance as to the best timing of our visits to wineries / breweries. We arranged for an SUV limo for a bachelorette wine tour. 30 minutes prior to arrival, we got a call indicating that we must pay the balance with cash or check, and that tips would only be accepted in cash. Luckily someone in our party had a spare check. Upon arrival, the driver asked for his tip before we even left. The limo we entered was filthy, old, and quite literally broken (we stalled twice). The AC was broken, there was trash left from the previous party, and the music didn't work. Our driver smoked between our winery stops, leaving a stench in the vehicle, which was especially uncomfortable for one of our passengers who was pregnant... Limos should add to the fun, but we could not wait to get out of this vehicle at every stop. They took all the stress of planning off our hands and catered to both of our preferences. Our driver, Doug, was super friendly and knowledgeable. Booked with this company as they were recommended by Fingerlakes Premier Properties. We book our tour for five people which included a toddler in a car seat, so we were on a set schedule. They were aware of this 11am-5pm schedule. We had multiple email conversations back and forth regarding our stops and what not. We paid the full balance in advance to make it easier and we were charged a 3.5% up charge for paying in advance. We found this ridiculous but whatever. The morning of we were all ready and no show. At 11:19am I called the company and it kept going to a message where I couldn't leave a message. I kept calling back and finally on the fourth call a man picked up. I felt like I woke him up. I told him that our driver was late. He got a little smart with me until he realized it was 11:19am not 10:19am. I found this hilarious and it definitely meant I woke him up. He tells me that he will contact the driver and call me right back. At 11:30am he still didn't call me back while I had an annoyed toddler who was wondering why he was strapped in a stroller without moving for more than 30 minutes!! My husband called the company at 11:30am. The guy proceeded to tell my husband that our driver was "delayed" and that they were in the process of finding us a new driver. Knowing we were on a set schedule with a toddler this obviously wouldn't work for us. So my husband said WE were cancelling and that we wanted a full refund. He said "not a problem". We were bummed cause we had been looking forward to and planning a wine tour for months. I wound up driving and being the designated driver. We had a great time but I really wanted to taste the finger lake wines since we live five driving hours away. The next day the refund was in process. NYC Bus tour. Driver was late arrival int he morning then late departure in the evening out of the city! it took over an hour to get out of Manhattan which was not his fault as it was a busy holiday weekend but I was confused with the rout to get out and then the driver took an alternate route to get us home at 1am that was all back roads of PA in FOG!!! The driving seemed erratic as the bus was speeding up then stopping quickly. We couldn't sleep with all the motion and the HEAT was on despite the driver kept saying it was not and the AIR was on. I would hate to be on that bus in the summer! Broken bathroom, no air, no reading lights working, weird smells, no DVD player, no ports working and the wi-fi was awful! Never again! read more

My family and friends wanted to go on a winery tour in the finger lakes area after doing the corning half marathon. We hadn't done anything like this before so were a little nervous, but the reservation person at the office planned out an itinerary for us and booked an appointment for us at each winery. We were surprised by how simple they made the process for us. On the day of, we had a stretch SUV limo come for our group of 5. At first it felt a little silly to have such a big vehicle, but after the first winery stop it was really nice to be able to stretch our legs out, recline, and having the bottled water available in the car was a helpful touch. The tour they planned out was well-thought out. The first stop was Pleasant Valley which was a historical wine production facility. they had a wide spectrum of different wines to sample (champagne, white and red varietals, port, sherry, sparkling rose) and an exhibit on the history of wine growing in the area. The second was Bully Hill, which had a cafe although we did not stop. The side-facing seats in the limo gave us a beautiful view over lake keuka as we went up the hill! The wineries got more sophisticated as we went on, the third stop was Dr Konstantin Frank and the last one was Heron Hill which is an ecological focused winery. It was a good progression of wineries in the order they picked out for us. Throughout the trip our driver William was safe and attentive. I was a limo skeptic at first, but it was really nice to have the couch-style seating to sit around living-room style was great. Took a bus tour with White Star Tours to Maine and WS contracted with the Fitzgerald Brothers (Finger Lake Winery Tours) to provide the bus and driver. Jim Hillegus is an awesome driver. Navigated the roads great and treated us all very well. The bus broke down for a short time and Jim kept everyone safe and fixed the issue with the motor himself and got us back on the way. Good thing Jim knew what to do with the mechanical problem or we would be still waiting for help. Jim gets 5 stars but the company should have newer buses. read more

A group of us recently rented a bus to go to a Bills game. Headed to the game we had two different drivers, they were both amazing. Communicated with us and we're respectful and professional to our needs. The bills game was freezing by no surprise, we all rushed to the bus to warm up. And this is where my review goes from a 5 star to a 1 star and I settled with a 2 star. We got a new driver for the ride home, who was clearly not familiar with this vehicle and was unaware of what they were doing. The first 30 minutes before we stopped at a pit stop, nothing was on in the back, no audio system, no lights or heat! (Just left a freezing game remember). We informed her on several occasions that nothing was working. Her response "not sure everything is on". When we stopped we had her come in the back so she could "look". She noticed that the " driver prior had shut everything off" She then turned on some magical button that turned on lights, audio and heat. Unfortunately the heat only lasted for 2 minutes before she shut it off again. We asked her 5 times during the 3 hour ride home to please turn on the heat, we could not feel our toes. She frantically pressed several buttons and was still unsuccessful at turning on the heat. 16 of us sat in the back of the bus with layers of clothes on, blankets and sitting close together to just keep our bodies warm. Honestly it was warmer in the stands then it was in the back of the bus. I have never rushed home to my house to take a steaming hot shower so fast before in my life. It is unfortunate that our driver changed three times. This has happened to me before using this company where they changed our driver last minute or during our event. Unsure why this happens. Overall it is important to educate each driver on the vehicle they will be driving. And honestly pull the vehicle over and figure out the problem if your customers have a complaint. Glad we all still have our fingers and toes. Not sure if we would really use this company again in the future without specifically talking to the driver prior to our event. read more

We had a written agreement with multiple pick up times to take the guests to a nearby hotel after the reception. After the first pickup the driver never returned leaving guests stranded for hours!! On the Monday after our wedding we reached out to the company to explain the situation and they were terribly rude. My boyfriend, my best friend and I went up to Ithaca in early March and thought it would be fun to book a driver and have him take us around Cayuga and Seneca lakes. As a background, I had called a bunch of wine tours in the area, and these guys were the most reasonable bang for our buck. The morning started out with a wonderful greeting from "Dan the Man" (our driver for the next 6 hours of the day) and promptly at 10am at the Ithaca Hampton Inn. The tour originally booked us to just go around Lake Cayuga, but we didn't have to do too much arm twisting to get him to take us around Seneca and back down Cayuga. Dan was incredibly courteous. We could have been in a winery for 2 minutes (that really did happen) or an hour. Either way he would see us the moment we left the winery (no time was wasted waiting for him!). Onward to more drinking! He was also incredibly knowledgeable about the wineries and the lakes themselves. Extra kudos. From the moment I called Finger Lakes Winery Tours until the time we received a handwritten card in the mail from our driver and the tour themselves, I knew this was special treatment. Maybe it's the fact we're all from the city and wouldn't expect such a warm gesture, but we were all moved by the warmth hospitality of this company and its driver. Worst. Limo. Ever. Our driver drove around in circles costing us valuable, PAID time. I gave him specific directions which he blatantly ignored, causing us to miss MULTIPLE places. He had no idea how to turn on the radio in the back (he tried blaring it from the front, what a joke!) or let us have control of the windows. The CD player wasn't even hooked up, instead it was hanging half way out of the box. He didn't know how to turn on the lights in the back. He didnt even know how to open the trunk.....THE TRUNK! I'm guessing it was literally his first time driving a limo. For the money we spent, this was a complete rip off. The day before my bachelorette party I received a disappointing call from the company letting me know the vehicle I paid for would not be available, as they couldn't get a part they needed to repair the vehicle in time. The other vehicle that was available was a complete downgrade, but was the only option ONE day in advance for our wine tour/ bachelorette party. I agreed and asked to be compensated the money I put down since I proactively had a bank check made out to them in the remaining balance for the more expensive and spacious vehicle I chose for my event. They were unable to refund my card according the accounting department as it had been over 90 days. I was compensated a free wine tasting at a winery of choice for my group and a bottle of wine and I was told that the check I had was the only payment I was responsible for all my troubles included gratuity- and was told I'd receive a reimbursement check. Let's move on the the actual driving experience. The driver, a kind older gentleman, unable to hear requests, drove so horribly that myself and one of my bridesmaid became ill almost instantly. He asked me multiple times for his gratuity which I explained to him I did not owe the company anything and had to go into the details of what happened with my original vehicle. He said he was unaware and even told me he just was handed the job that day. Now the accounting department is contacting me to refund the check they compensated me which was not even in the amount I was told I would get back. I'm extremely disappointed in the company's lack of communication within departments and accountability to stand by their word. Please read if you are considering this company... Once COVID affected our wine tour, we were "ghosted". This is my first review ever written on Yelp, and I am doing it with the hopes that others are not put in the position we were with Finger Lakes Winery Tours. We had a reservation for a wine tour using this company for the first weekend of April 2020. When COVID-19 started to take full effect, I reached out to this company on March 17th via phone. We put $345 dollars towards this tour but all of the wineries along Seneca Lake closed on March 18th. The wineries were government mandated to close until April 15th. Therefore, we could NOT go on our wine tour with the wineries CLOSED. After speaking to Mike on the phone, he said we cannot have our money back and that we could use our balance for another date. When asked how long the balance was good for, he was unable to answer. I asked to speak to management and they were "unavailable." I then asked Mike about their contradicting cancellations policies. One policy states, "If you cancel you will incur a fee of: at anytime, the deposit." Another confirmation email with a different cancellation policy states, "Two weeks after making reservation- 80% refund will be issued for any cancellation made after the grace period." Mike was confused and said he'd never seen that and would speak to management. Management was to call me. No call returned. I sent email to document on March 17th and 18th. In my email, I provided screenshots of their contradicting policies and demanded at least the 80% refund back since we were longer than two weeks away from our reservation date. Mike responded on the 19th with a generic "we are working through each case and will be in communication with you." That was our last email from them and it's July 16th. Mike's signature on his email also said "President" but he did not know the cancellation policies when I spoke to him on March 17th on the phone. On April 10th, we got an email saying, "We hope you had a great tour!" even though it never happened. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE And it gets worse... We disputed the charge through our credit card company and Finger Lakes Winery Tours had 90 days to respond. They denied the dispute on June 12th and our credit card company requested a letter and additional info such as contradicting policies/emails with dates/etc. We re-disputed the charge again in late June with documentation provided, and we were told by the credit card company that it should be an easy win for us with COVID-19 and them not communicating to us. On July 9th, our dispute was denied AGAIN because Finger Lakes Winery Tours stated that they have a policy that if you cancel within 2 weeks of the reservation, no refund is issued and they claimed we were within the 2 week deadline. Our tour was for April 4th and we cancelled March 17th in an email (18 days). After getting a supervisor on the phone at Capital One, she was able to see the documentation. She also said they have changed their payment processor since COVID-19... likely to avoid refunds due to cancellations. In the end, we received 80% of our money back and took a loss on the rest. 80% thanks to Capital One. It was the biggest headache and I highly suggest NOT using this company! read more

My friends and I used this company to schedule a wine tour leaving from Syracuse to Seneca Lake because of their comparatively cheaper prices but do not be fooled. You get what you pay for. We first booked a limo for 13 people then were told that is too many people for a limo. We agreed upon a party bus for 13 people. In the week leading up the wine tour, I got calls from several different people in the office saying they wanted to upgrade us to limos and each time we had to remind them that we have 13 people and it would be too big for a limo. This led me to believe they had messed up our reservation all along. Each time I was called, I was told that I would get a call back and I never did and would have to call them back. One time I called them back, the original guy who had called had left for the day and I had to speak to someone else about it. This seemed very irresponsible of the guy to just leave for the day without contacting us back when promised. I was nervous about the reservation but the last lady I spoke with assured us everything would be fine. Boy was I wrong. On the day of the wine tour, the driver showed up 15 minutes late and admitted it was his first day driving for Fitzgerald Brothers. He did not know much about the van that he showed up with an yes I said van, not party bus! The van he showed up with was a passenger shuttle, much akin to a church van with rows of tight seating and not a party bus for a wine tour. Be weary of this company. read more

I believe her exact words were "I don't know". Okay no big deal - then we start to go to the lake for the tour and the radio doesn't work at all. We asked her if she could help and she said "I have no idea how to work the radio". So we it was a very quiet ride to and from the lake. It really put a damper on our tour. After reading not so good reviews I was very nervous to ride OurBus. But let me tell you: my experience was great both ways. Both drivers were very good. On the way back the bus was late 1 hour due to the traffic after a major accident on the road. But this is New York city and this is no train on the rail road, so delays due to the traffic are expected and this is no fault of the driver. Despite the delay, the ride was great. I found this company to be very professional from the their website to the ladies answering the phone calls. I understand deposits are necessary in most cases, but when a company will not refund your deposit and then thinks it's OK to charge an outrageous cancellation fee...it's just absurd. We had a family member (my girlfriend's mother) go into hospice the weekend we were supposed to use FLWT services. They had a couple days prior notice and we explained our situation. They kindly did not charge us the 75% cancellation fee, but refused to refund our $150 deposit. I just want others to be aware of what they sign when booking with this company. If you have to unfortunately cancel, you will NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK and you could be charged up to the FULL AMOUNT depending on when you cancel. I unfortunately relied on Fitzgerald Brothers to provide guest shuttle and party bus service for my recent wedding in the Finger Lakes. The problems began as soon as the party bus arrived to pick up the bridal party, when prior to even introducing himself and welcoming the guests, the driver immediately asked the groom about payment for the additional 2 hours the bus would be rented. The troubles continued after the wedding, when the bridal party re-boarded the bus and requested music to be played during the return trip. In a rude and aggravated tone, the driver responded saying "you should have asked me for music earlier, it's too late now"- claiming that it was too late to play music because it was too dark and he couldn't see the buttons to turn on the music. So we used our phones to provide light for him and he was still unable to find the buttons and we drove the rest of the way in silence. Considering that this was for a wedding, a significant amount of money was paid for these services, and the fact that it is called a PARTY bus, this was totally unacceptable to me. The problems only continued when the driver dropped off the bridal party at their final destination at 3:30am, only to discover that he was off by over 10 houses and we were forced to walk back on our own in the middle of the night. In my experience, as well as the other reviewers, this limo company is only money hungry and their drivers lack any form of professionalism or politeness. The radio doesn't work, broken glass ceiling in multiple areas, outlets don't work, and overall the limo is in poor shape. Be careful when you make your reservation. I was in Ithaca this weekend for cornell reunion and tried to make a reservation for Saturday. Called and talked to "mike" who told us that there was space and to wait at the Hilton garden inn. He said a bus with "Fitzgerald brothers" written on the side would pick us up at 10:12. We waited for 40 minutes and the bus never showed. When I called back "mike" said he was so embarrassed and that he didn't realize that the tours didn't start until the following weekend. It wasn't a big deal, my boyfriend and I drove up to the wineries on our own (saved $110). However, almost every winery that we stopped at had a bus with "Fitzgerald brothers" on it. Seemed like we were lied to. Not sue what happened here but I wouldn't recommend this place. They are either disorganized or dishonest. read more
