Great and friendly service, prices and quality of boats were excellent. The best marina on Seneca lake by far! Definitely recommend!

Set sail for True Love, a truly enjoyable time!…read more Bottom Line Up Front: We had a wonderful, relaxing, and fun time for a good price. The Good: The history of the John Alden designed schooner is worth reading before you go. We had some more "salty" members of our group that recognized the name of the schooner from the 1956 movie "High Society" starring Bing Crosby, Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra and after that we were on board for a wonderful time. We even were seated in the seats once occupied by Gene and Bing. We purchased our tickets after being approached by Terry who negotiated a decent price with us because he wanted a full boat for the next trip. Captain Bill was an experienced Captain and is well known in the area. He got us underway and was a delightful host regaling us with stories about the "True Love", Seneca Lake and surroundings, as well as, some stories about racing the "True Love" and his crew, Spencer and Marena. Captain Bill even assisted another sailing boat that was in distress and precariously close to the lake edge. The trip was two hours long and on time. The crew served non-alcoholic and adult beverages (some free, some for a price) while underway and also sold some souvenirs (Whisky and glasses). The Bad: There was nothing bad, from start to finish, this was a very enjoyable trip and the crew definitely enjoyed sharing their love of the "Trie Love" with the joyful passengers. The Ugly: Absolutely nothing other than we could not be out for longer. If you find yourself in Watkins Glen, this is definitely an enjoyable to kick back, relax, and let the wind fill your sails. They say a picture is worth 1000 words, so I am going to end my post with a few that we snapped along the way. May you have fair winds, and following lake waters!

Outstanding service for many years now. Putting in all docks and hoists and boats each spring and…read moreremoval each fall. They even sold a boat. Todd Herbik the owner, his sons and staff really care and always "do what they said they're going do" which is a really rare thing in today's world. It's about time. I wrote a brief review for one of the few businesses that I think is really worth it! Been in Canandaigua's lake for many decades and with Marine Blue the past 12 years. I've been very happy since moving to them. When one gets older, one tends to take the Longview of things or put them in the big picture. I hear good and bad about everybody. I no longer allow one employee, or single action affect my opinion of a business at all. That said Marine Blue has always been there for us. They can be there for you too! These days I usually get a hold of Crystal or Stephanie on the phone almost immediately. They too, are extremely helpful!

Marine blue I bought…read morean engine from Marine Blue and installed it on my new boat. I did all the hooks ups for the remote controls and asked them to: Connect the engine to the smg4 multi-gauge Connect the permanent fuel tank sender to the smg4. Several estimates later they proposed $170 each for the two tasks and added a $250 charge to verify that my remote hookups were correct, because "It's a liability issue for us'(*). I took the engine in on a Wednesday. When I called to check Thursday they said they had identified a warranty issue with the engine: "the pre-ignition engine gas reservoir". They also said they could not hook up the smg4 and had called the manufacturer to discuss. The conclusion was that they had order a new diagnostic cable which arrived Friday but the tech was out. On Monday I spoke to a sales rep twice about status. The first time he said the tech was working on it and he "wasn't gong to interrupt him". The second time he said "we are in negotiations with the manufacturer about warranty and we can't give you any information" So I called the manufacturer. Their advice, after hearing the above litany, was to take the boat out of there and take it to another shop; they gave me three suggested shops. They denied that there had been any discussion about warranty issues Tuesday I spoke to the shop owner who reiterated the warranty claim, I told him the manufacturer had said there had been no communication, except on one call last Thursday where they were asked about how to hook up their diagnostic cable. The owner blamed the oversight on his staff. He then informed me that the tech was busy at work building a "new cable to connect the engine to the smg4." I told him to stop work; the cable he referenced had already been installed by me. I told him the manufacturer had advised me to take the boat to another shop. Marine Blue refused to release the boat until I paid a bill of $1060. The manufacturer offered to pay half the bill. My impression is the Martine Blue is either incompetent and/or dishonest I agree to this solution although I felt like was paying for nothing. When I took the boat to another shop the tech there said he could not see that the original shop had actually done anything, and there was no warranty issue with the engine. He completed the job in a timely manner with a fair charge. He spoke with me afterward about various questions I had in an open and friendly manner (see RS motorsports in Canadaigua- highly recommended). If you are in the need of engine work I would suggest you call you engine's manufacturer and have them recommend a shop they trust. (* the manufacturer said the tasks I had requested were a 15" job. He added that he saw no reason to charge me for the remote cable re-do.")
