I came in a few weeks ago when the building was under construction and the dressing rooms were closed and he was very apologetic to an individual who was wanting to trying something on and was still able to help them. I came in again today and the checkout line was very long and he was helping out the best he could and telling all the customers "thank you guys for the long lines we're getting some more help up front and we'll make sure everyone is taken care of!" The sign outside of the store advertising 60% off clearance intrigued me so I went to the "clearance" jeans rack. When I spoke with an associate inquiring about the 60% off I was informed the "clearance jeans" are NOT part of the 60% sale. Folks this is "bait and switch" absolutely NOTHING on the 60% off posted sign outside American Eagle stated that "jeans" were NOT included. Nevertheless I was gravely disappointed. However, on a lighter note, the current in store sales of buy one get one 50% off are a fantastic deal! I absolutely praise Sarah whom helped us upon arrival with our exchange. Sarah was polite, efficient and knew what she was doing!!! Sarah is the reason why I'm giving American Eagle 5 stars!!!! On the other hand, the associate I spoke with in the store was a snob.

You'll definitely find a gift for that Hawkeye/Cyclone/Panther fan in your life; they also carry some local high-school merchandise as well. They had plenty of sizes available, including tall sizes. The two young girls working never came out from behind the checkout counter, so we went to them. We asked about the ANF hats (whether or not they had more styles) and they simply gave a generic reply, "everything we have is out." I'm not even sure one of the girls knew what we were referring to when we said ANF (America Needs Farmers). The store is brand new so it still has that new store smell, and is very clean and organized. Some music would have been nice because the shop was so quiet. Would not be my go-to place for Iowa merch, but they had some unique stuff if you aren't on a budget. Inventory is highly overpriced (imo).

The manager said the store owner canceled the order because he believes he can sell the item for more money. I paid the asking price! This certainly isn't very good business practice. Think twice before ordering from this location. I plan to contact the BBB and leave reviews on all platforms. Treat your customers better.

Holy smokes. Play It Again Sports has a HUGE variety of equipment for sale. Bikes, hockey…read moreaccessories, golf paraphernalia, wrestling gear, treadmills, skis, baseball/softball gloves, and a whole lot more. You name it, they probably have it. Even the obscure stuff. Some areas are more heavily stocked than others (think golf clubs vs. rollerblades), but they do have a little bit of everything. Don't assume that all of their merchandise is used. That just isn't the case. I found prices to be pretty reasonable, but don't expect to get all that much if you're selling to them. Really want top dollar for your bike? Golf clubs? Treadmill? Stick to selling via eBay or other online marketplaces with wider audiences. Play It Again is especially great for families who have kids participating in a multitude of sports--I'd never buy new if I had kids constantly outgrowing cleats/pants/gloves/bats/etc. When we walked were greeted right away by the nice young guy working. Kudos for that. He seemed very knowledgable when it came to the questions we did ask. Huge store. Very well kept and fun to browse/shop. On a budget or not, I highly, highly recommend Play It Again.
