I had a high ceiling that needed painting and other areas that needed more than a DIY touch-up so I called Finish Line after hearing positive feedback. Now I have first hand knowledge that these folks do fantastic work, at valuable prices, with sharp people. They agreed to get there early and start the job at 7am. Sure enough, they were at the door at 7:00 exactly and got started. Any blemishes were gone and the walls look brand new. I called this company to arrange a quote, instead of going through the Yelp app. I'm not sure if that made a difference. My call was returned a week or maybe two later - Max explained he'd been out of town. I'd already received a few quotes, but he offered to quote me over the phone based on my square footage. He gave me a range; it was a good price! I didn't feel I'd found just the right painter yet, so I re-read the reviews for Finish Line and was so impressed, I texted Max to arrange an on-site meeting to tighten up the initial quote. The day of the appointment, I waited, and waited - and then sent Max another text. Very apologetically, he wrote back he had actually scheduled me for the next day. OK! I get it. These things happen. The next day, Friday, June 14th, Max arrived, took a very quick, cursory look around the exterior of my home. I pointed out areas of concern with both stucco and wood. I'm big on prep work and really wanted to feel someone was taking that seriously. One area he said he'd have to bring back a ladder. He seemed to think it was all pretty customary and he could do the job in about two days. He said he'd get a quote to me over the weekend. At first I thought maybe he was just very matter of fact and efficient. But two days to do a really proper prep and paint job? And bottom line is today is June 25th and I've never heard from him again. I'm disappointed, to say the least! Two stars means he could've done better. Seems fair. read more
