This time around, HOA told us to paint our house. Well, yeah! Da humble abode severely needed a fresh coat of paint. Chica went on a search and found McCarthy Painting. I followed up and checked reviews. They're legit licensed, bonded and do good work. Fast forward to the first day Armando and Andres started the job. They consulted with me and confirmed the features of the dwelling and the specific colors set for them from Sherwin Williams pallet for this model. Shout out to the lone faux shutter feature in da back of da house. *rolling eyes*. These guys communicated clearly the job and the specifics to be done. They explained to me the way they will paint the eaves and gutters (a little different from the original paint patterns). I'm good with that. That actually matches what all the neighbors did with their new paint jobs. Armando and Andres got right to work starting with the power washing for day one. The humble abode might have sighed a great sigh of relief when they did this. Gone are the tree sap, chimney soot, dust and pollen stains. Next day, cover up and protect. Then next 2 days paint all large surface areas and most of the trim. Day 4 finish all trim and doors. Last day, touch ups. These guys work hard and thoroughly. We are so happy and relieved to have the house painted right with the correct premium paint - Sherwin Williams. Looking over the humble abode now... She looks polished and beautiful. Take that HOA! (There are a lot of companies/contractors out there who try to take advantage of their customers. It was refreshing for me to find a couple who were truly impressive and honest.) I chose Local San Diego Painting. Chad came out last week to review the three turrets which each having 3 rows of rough-wood trim - roughly 12', 14' and 22' from the ground and one turret was over a sunken bar area, so access above was tricky. (The surrounding ceiling is all wood, which we did not want painted.) His estimate was very reasonable and the two man crew did an excellent job. They were both very professional, and nice. They started and finished this job yesterday. They even stayed an extra hour past their normal hours to finish the job. I will not hesitate to use them at this house again and any of my rentals in the future.

My husband and I had a nightmare project of a house remodel. There were many low points and frustrations and some very very bad experiences with some contractors. So when we worked with contractors that actually did what they said they were going to do and then did the work with the utmost in workmanship and integrity, well, then I am just compelled to let the Yelp community know about them. So here is my second 5-star review of Parker Painting. I am so happy I hired Parker Painting. We were doing a remodel on an old house we inherited, and one of the bright notes of this giant and difficult project was Parker Painting. The price quoted was the lowest bid from all the other painting companies we contacted. Often times I'm afraid to take the lowest bid because I'm afraid of shoddy workmanship, but because they had such high ratings on both Yelp and Google, I gambled and we hit the jackpot. The paint job entailed: 1) exterior painting of stucco walls, all the trim on the outside, the metal garage door, the side door into the garage, and the patio wood patio cover, and 2) interior painting of all walls, ceilings and interior doors including the front door. The exterior work was done several months before the interior simply because the interior was waiting for other projects to finish first. Parker Painting worked with our schedule which helped take the pressure off us. So the exterior work went smoothly. Then it was time to paint the inside. Don't worry; it's all good. Because we had extensive repair work to the interior walls and because we had popcorn ceiling removed, there was a lot of raw wall board with new texture applied, which meant that this new texture absorbed primer and paint like crazy. Plus, there were several areas with water damage which required extra strength primer to cover up the water stains and keep them from leaking through the paint. Jason, the owner and the person who gave us the quote, admitted to me that he underestimated the amount of primer, paint and labor that the interior required, and applying these extra coats of primer and paint added to his labor cost. He told me that he was just breaking even on the interior painting in regards to labor, but all he asked from us was if we would pay (we did) for the extra amount of paint, primer and extra strength primer that was required to do the job correctly. He did not ask us for more for the extra cost of labor. I call that integrity in business. Throughout all this, the work effort and quality of work remained top quality. The work crew were meticulous in taping off parts that were not to be painted. The quality of work was/is top notch. As a matter of fact, our electrical contractor asked me who we hired to paint the house and then took a business card I had on me for his own reference. His comment about the quality of the paint job was that he's seen A LOT of paint jobs and this was one of the finest he has seen. He told me he's seen a lot of slop work and that this job was top quality and well done. Parker Painting also painted the interior of my brother's home. He and his wife were both pleased with the bid price and with the quality of work. The work crew are friendly, approachable, cleaned up the work site before they left each day, and showed the utmost in workmanship. Parker Painting is in my permanent contact list of contractors to hire and I would absolutely recommend them to friends, family, and the Yelp community. If you want a great price, quality work, and honest people, then Parker Painting is the painting company you need to hire.

Totally recommend!!! My husband and I are new to the area so we weren't sure who to use to paint our downstairs. A friend from work suggested Bulman Painting. I called, left a message, and got a call back from Steve, the owner, about an hour later and set up a consultation! When he came to the house, he was very polite and super helpful with deciding colors by putting up samples for us. Steve really impressed us by how respectful he was with our belongings. He made sure our furniture was covered from debris/paint splatter, and even used sliders under the couch and tv stand to ensure no scraps or damage to our wooden floors! After each room was finished he cleaned the floors, leaving them better than before. The painting job was on point, every room turned out incredible! He did a few drywall repairs and even fixed this big crack in the dining room that is now flawless! I own a house in Pacific Beach. I hired a company to paint the entire interior of my home. It was by far the most horrendous job I have ever seen. They got paint on everything but the walls. I should have known since they didn't cover the carpets and floors really well. I spoke with Stephen on Monday morning to see what could be done to rectify the problem, and he was at my home by noon. He was very professional and not only made me, but most importantly my wife reassured that his company could handle the situation at hand. One of my bros near the beach recommended him when I needed to repaint my house, (which is no small task) because its an older style craftmen house that needed alot of work and attention to detail, when it comes to sanding and even stripping paint in some areas. I found this guy through a few sites and thought I'd call around to different painting contractors. Everyone was pretty straightforward, prices varied surprisingly. I felt my estimate was average... leads me to believe the highest bids were too high.... and then the lowest bids were for unlicensed folks. Anyway, I needed someone to do the project on the weekend. We chose Bulman because it provided us the earliest schedule among all companies we've contacted. And a reasonable price too. The price wasn't the best bid we got (but close) but the quality of the job done definitely is worth it. Not only Jose and Eric did a very good job of painting almost the entire interior of our house, they were also very friendly and polite to us every time we came by the site. Response from Steve and Michelle was very helpful and timely too. The whole experience was very professional and impressive. I highly recommend Bulman Painting and will definately use them again. Steve provided a very detailed estimate for the exterior of my house. He and Rayne in the office answered all questions and were great to work with. Michelle was great when she came by to check on things. Bulman Painting just painted my nursery. Steve Bulman did an incredible job. He took down a TV Bracket and patched the holes (while matching the textured wall). We had foam injection insulation done around a year ago, which left a lot of small round patches that made the already badly aged paint job look unbearable. The stucco was badly damaged in lots of places and it was a mess. I knew this would not be a DIY job and put out a few requests for quote. Even though CertaPro came in slightly higher in price than the lowest bid, Todd put in a lot more work in his quoting process and I just overall found him to be more trustworthy, so I went with my gut and picked them. I'm so glad I did! I felt I was a little risky with my paint color choice and was afraid it would be too dark, but it turned out perfect and I'm really happy with it! If you're a fan, it is Sherwin Williams "Naval." I'm surprised at what an impact this paint job has had on our home. It looks like an entirely different house and it's beautiful! We handled almost everything online -- I simply sent photos of the areas that needed work, discussed the project details, and received a clear, all-inclusive estimate upfront. I had some leftover paint from a previous project, so I was able to provide them with the exact color information ahead of time. They purchased everything in advance, which made the process even smoother and eliminated any surprises with pricing. The work itself was excellent. I had recently replaced my kitchen cabinets, and several sections of the walls had been damaged and needed retexturing. They repaired and retextured those areas beautifully before painting both the walls and ceiling. Everything blended perfectly when the job was finished. They showed up right on time on a Saturday, which I really appreciated because I didn't have to take time off work. Before starting, they carefully laid down and hung drop cloths to protect everything in the kitchen, and they were extremely thorough about cleaning up afterward. The entire project was completed in a very reasonable amount of time, and the finished result looks fantastic. Another thing that stood out to me is that they are a true local company with their own employees. I've had frustrating experiences in the past where companies acted more like middlemen and subcontracted the work out to random handymen. It was refreshing to work with a company that has its own team because you can tell they have much better oversight, communication, and quality control throughout the entire process. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the results and would absolutely hire them again for future projects.

We were a little nervous as it was a large project that needed to be completed in a short amount of time. I can honestly say we were blown away by Winston's integrity and attention to detail. The end result was spectacular. He went above and beyond for us in so many ways, and was flexible and fair in terms of some last minute requests. We also appreciated that he was kind enough to return after the project was complete and address a very minor issue. We will definitely use Winston and the team for all of our painting needs in future (both interior and exterior!). This was one of the best experiences we ever had with a contractor, and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

SD Coatings did a great job painting our house. We had a…read morebunch of termite and weather damaged wood that needed to be replaced as part of the project. We got four quotes and Scott was the only one that took the time to truly assess what needed to be done and included the wood repair as part of the initial quote. One company gave us a quote with the repair being an extra cost that would be added later while the other two said that all of the damaged wood would just be patched with Bondo, which given the extent of the damage did not seem prudent. The crew was punctual, polite, and professional and we love the results. They even removed an old eyesore satellite dish that had been on the house since we moved in.

They painted over the wall there was a chemical reaction. It bubbled and created a mess. Suddenly they had no responsibility. They took $300 off the $7000 job. I am now 8 hrs into removing everything. It is so much more difficult as there is primer and paint over the wallpaper. It is unable to penetrate well for removal. The bottom line is hope for the best because if it goes wrong you are on your own.
