We hired Bulman Painting in May of 2024 to paint the exterior of our house and detached garage/nanny flat in PB - including all of the railing and the pony wall in the front. In addition to the painting we had their team stain custom gates and fencing surrounding the house. They did an excellent job and came in at the price agreed upon. Michelle, Rayne, and Steve were excellent to work with and communicated well. The attention to detail and quality of work was outstanding. They did a much better job than our prior painter - who is one of the largest in the area. I'm not trying to trash this company because they obviously do great work based on the photos. They accidentally mis-scheduled my estimate, no problem, we re-scheduled but I did have to take work off to make our first appointment. The disappointing thing was that after the estimate, I called and Michelle told me I would have an estimate within 24-48 hours. I ended up cancelling with them after 4 days of no estimate. If there was some kind of issue, please communicate that with your customers. read more

Again, Bulman painting did an excellent job. Stephen provided a through review of our needs, and quickly prepared a thorough and detailed proposal. Administration related to the whole job was efficiently completed by Michelle and Rayne. The lead for the job was Jose, who did an efficient, effective and flawless job of repairing some ceiling damage due to a leak, and painting all the ceilings in our house. All the painters who worked on the project were excellent and were very respectful of all the furniture and belongings that needed to be moved. I have also never seen so much plastic used to protect everything. The result being not only a flawless job, but not a drop of paint anywhere it shouldn't be. These guys wrote a fair estimate and didn't go overboard when it turned out we had some exterior window asbestos. They did some needed carpentry and stucco repair and again get hung up when we deferred some items (cross beams on eves) for the future since we will have to change our roof in a few years anyway. Bulman painting did an amazing job with our paint job from start to finish. At our initial meeting, Steve the owner was straightforward and thorough. I had several questions about their bid for the exterior of our house, and each of my questions was answered promptly and honestly. They spelled out exactly what brand and type of paint they were proposing (Sherwin Williams), the number of coats (2 for both trim and body) and I also liked that they gave three options for quality at different price points. We picked Sherwin Williams Emerald - the highest level - as we wanted this paint job to last as long as possible. Once we signed the contract, Rayne and Michele were fantastic in coordinating with us to make sure the contract spelled out exactly what we did and didn't want. Jose and his crew were professional and proactive, asking questions and pointing out issues. Steve was there every day of work checking on progress. He also clearly cares about his staff, not something to take for granted! There were two big rain storms during their paint job so they had to tape and block off most of the house three times as the wind and rain kept blowing everything off. Once they were done, they realized they had used Sherwin Williams Superpaint, instead of Emerald, for the body of our house. The Superpaint looked fantastic and I would not have noticed the difference. Michele and Rayne called me and let me know they were going to paint 2 coats of Emerald on top - no additional charge of course. As a result we now have four coats of high quality paint on our house. Multiple neighbors have commented how nice it looks. Thank you Bulman painting! We are looking forward to many many years of living in our now even more beautiful home!!! read more

Flexibility is undoubtedly in their nature and easily worked around several other contractors scheduling to ensure the paint work was done perfectly.
