We're out of their usual location range and couldn't work with their contractors, so I think because of that some of the communication was challenging between designer and contractor. (It seems like they work pretty seamlessly with Builder Boy!) Once the design process was done, she helped me to manage the project and communicate with the contractor (she introduced me to two options, got me quotes from both, and I went with JJ Construction, who was wonderful!). Of course a project of this size will come with its problems and the best thing about Satin and Slate is that they always had a solution or solutions ready for me. Initially we had a consultation at the empty house to discuss the ideas my wife and I had for the each room, show her our favorite colors, what we planned on using each room, and immediately on the spot she came up with great suggestions already! We got a more elaborate design document with the proposed changes that she made, and everything was extremely helpful, from choosing decoration to the furniture quality and colors that would go well. All the process was very smooth and both Sanaz and her whole team were extremely responsive all the time, taking care of our requests with a lot of thought. Given that the house needed some renovations, she recommended a contractor that did the work perfectly (thanks, Ivan!) from Redesign Construction, and for final delivery of all furniture, everything was handled by 27 Diamonds with white glove delivery. So goad he did because they are so awesome. Jennifer the office administrator/ scheduler (she may be the owner I'm not sure) is so sweet. She answers via phone or text which is helpful to have both options. She gets you all set up with Doug the field technician. He is punctual and such a sweet guy. We have used them for the past 3 years on various things from automatic shades to door windows to restroom windows. We remodeled in three phases and after each phase we needed a set of blinds. They got us on the schedule right away for measurements and once product was in they installed right away. Top quality custom blinds and shades that really enhance the space. Highly recommend using them!

Sooo it's 2024 and we decided to get the 4 1/2"shutters in the rest of the house. We got the first…read more3.5" shutters in the bedroom and bathroom back in 2018. After finally getting "new construction" windows installed, we decided to go with larger 4 1/2" shutters. We were so nervous because not many people get that size, but we decided to go for it and boy do we love them! Everyone that comes over says our home has a "beachy vibe" with the large shutters. They look so nice with our painless windows! We only had one issue with the 2018 shutters in the bathroom rusting. ISD said to order the waterproof replacement would run us $650 for a small window but that seems a bit too much. ISD brought a new rustless magnet and made it look a lot better. Overall we are very happy with the way the new large shutters turned out, and happy with how the older 3 1/2" held up in the bedroom.

She was paid to take care of everything and she did not have everything finalized til 30 min after the party had started and if we hadn't frantically helped her I don't think she would have been able to finish until 2 hours after the party started with how much work we did. When later confronted about the issue she just made excuses and offered no solution or partial refund for her horrible services. The next day she didn't even clean up she just left a huge mess in our clubhouse. If you want a stress free party planning experience please take your business elsewhere. Kelly will just give you a headache. She should subtract 3,699 from her company name to portray what her party planning services are really like!

Lies on top of lies. Not wise of Kelly to say, "I think the main issue is I'm a designer and not…read morenecessarily a party planner per say". "She thinks??" Kelly never once made it clear through our thumbtack communications that she "was not necessarily a party planner" nor when we spoke on the phone or during our meeting at the venue. I initially explained in specific detail what I needed and what I was looking for in a party planner and she confirmed she does everything I mentioned I needed for my event. In fact, she was extremely interested in the potential job and told me she does make her own floral arrangements and ballon bouquets and stressed upon the fact that she arrives the day of the event to have everything done on time. We then proceeded to make arrangements to meet at the venue. Once we met at the venue she was thrilled about the venue and venue location. She had ideas of her own about how she would decorate the venue, but would use my own ideas, such as my choice of flowers, colors and balloons for the graduation party and areas where I wanted to place the decorations. She promised that she would personally be making all of the floral arrangements and ballon bouquets and would bring them to the venue the day of my event. She took it upon herself to bring some of the balloons to the venue the night before the event and ended up losing the balloons in the air by not holding onto them tightly, and on the day of my event, she was scrambling to buy more balloons and also brought dead flowers in boxes that still needed to be arranged in vases ... flowers that I did NOT choose. I had to personally put the floral arrangements together as well as help assist her housekeeper to put all of the balloon bouquets together. I have several relatives and friends who witnessed that the venue was no where near being completed and therefore also helped decorate. My event began an hour late due to her poor planning and disorganization. Yelp provides the opportunity for customers to share their own personal experiences and I do appreciate and consider reading reviews to avoid experiences such as this.
