I have never had an experience where I was disrespected and misjudged so terribly. I bought jewelry at this location and paid in cash. I'd like to add the piece I wanted wasn't in stock. The purchase went smoothly and I left with a really positive outlook of Finks Jewelers with plans to return. They did state they had a 30-day return policy in case I did need it. I returned to Finks Jewelers a few days later in hopes of either returning or exchanging my piece of jewelry. Their return policy is 30-days from date of purchase and they disclosed that when I purchased it. I paid with cash instead of using my debit card. When discussing the return/exchange process, I was met with judgement, poor attitude, and lack of respect. Naturally, I asked to return the item after this interaction and suddenly the clerk started spewing out "a policy" dealing with cash payment and refunds. Now they were saying a refund could take up to three weeks because they have to issue a check. I would have gladly paid with a card if I had known and wish I would have never used cash at this establishment. I wondered why they couldn't issue me cash, but I found out why three weeks later. I pointed out that Fink's Jewelers failed to disclose the policy regarding cash purchases. Like any other individual, I was frustrated that I couldn't receive a refund. They happily took my cash, but couldn't return it unless they performed a circus act. Instead of speaking with me like decent human beings, they ostracized me and had me escorted out of the premises like a criminal. I was understandably very upset that I was being treated this way, and definitely made it known that the way I was being treated was a problem. Even after that entire ordeal, I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. The check was on the way and I chalked it up to improperly trained staff (MULTIPLE) having a really terrible day. But boy, was I wrong AGAIN. I followed up with them frequently for a week and a half after this incident with the only answer being "the check hasn't been cut yet but it is being expedited". Which is a horrible excuse because they have done absolutely nothing to make this experience any better. So FINALLY, I called back and refused the typical "run-around." It was clear, at this point, they were doing everything they could to prevent us from returning the jewelry. The check arrived a couple days later and when attempting to cash it, the check BOUNCED. I called Fink's Jewelers immediately. They gave me some childish story about them not knowing what was going on, which was a lie. And instead of understanding my obvious frustration with this company doing literally EVERYTHING wrong, the clerk put us on hold. After being on hold, the clerk comes back and commanded us to act professional. I have BEEN professional and tried to give this deceptive and judgemental company the benefit of the doubt around every corner, but they could not and refused to handle their business in a trustworthy and upstanding manner. The bank clearly stated if we were to deposit the check, it would bounce. I'm not sure why anyone would want to do business with these people. I will gladly take my business somewhere I am appreciated next time. This was my first time buying jewelry and this was my first time using this company. It's very unfortunate because I previously lived in North Hills and expected the same hospitality I am used to. read more

I have bought several items here and have always been treated with respect and courtesy, despite my plain attire and manner. They are also an authorized Rolex Dealer (I believe the only true AD in the area). Lucky for us, they are excellent. The demand for Rolex is insane, and for some ADs this gives them an excuse to be jerks. Not these guys, they will do their best to get you the piece you want, even if it might take a while. I had noticed these myself and wondered what they could be. I took a Breitling watch in because the clasp was broken. They sent the watch to Breitling for repair. When I picked the watch up after repair it no longer fit. Finks said that Breitling no longer makes that band so they couldn't add any links. Our only option was to purchase a new band for $700. We were already paying over $1,000 for the clasp repair and conditioning. They didn't offer us any other solutions and didn't even care. I have a lot to say about Fink's, my fiancé got my ring from there and let me tell you not a day goes by with me not getting a ton of compliments from people on how beautiful my ring is, also they have the best customer service ever, when we bought the ring we were in a hurry so we made them resize it 2 sizes down and that put a lot of pressure on the ring and I ended up breaking it, they made me a new one that was just made for me and they also offered to make me any other ring if I wanted to change the setting but I refused. My fiancé designed my ring through Ritani. The ring is absolutely perfect, and Ritani has been amazing! However, Ritani's distributor in the Raleigh- Durham area is, Fink's Jeweler. Since the day he picked up my ring, we both have been treated horribly by the staff and the manager. The first time I met the staff at Fink's was after he proposed and I needed my ring resized. They were extremely short, had a condescending tone and were rude. We asked if they were able to size the ring in house, because being newly engaged I didn't want to be without it for an extended period of time. They insisted that it had to be sent back to Ritani for a myriad of reasons. So, Ritani took care of it. I went back in today because, sadly my ring needs to be resized again (not anyone's fault except my big knuckles) and I was going to have Fink's send it to Ritani for me. I went in and tried to start a conversation with the salesman, saying "good morning!" and asking how his day is. He was cold, and couldn't even exchange pleasantries with me. He just asked "what he could do for me", mind you, there was one other person in the store, and 3 other sales people. I told him what my problem was and he started telling me that they could do the sizing and sizing beads with their jeweler in town. Confused because of our last encounter, I said "are you sure? The last time I was here the man I spoke to was adamant about having to send it back to Ritani." He looked at me and said "What do you mean by adamant?" I told him about our last conversation and he went and got the manager (who was the man I spoke to last time). He opened the box my ring was in and said "Oh I remember THIS ring" and then continued to say they could do the sizing and sizing beads in town; and they told me Ritani doesn't do sizing beads. I told them I was okay with doing it in town but I didn't want it to affect my warranty. They told me I could call Ritani and ask them how to handle it. I left and called Ritani. The woman I spoke to was great, informed me that they do indeed do sizing beads and would email me a FedEx label to overnight it to them. After that I went back to Fink's just to let them know what's going on. I walked in and the salesman I spoke with before was standing there and I said "I spoke to someone at Ritani, they're going to resize it and they actually do sizing beads!" He crossed his arms and said "To use your word they use to be insistent about not doing sizing beads." I couldn't believe a salesman at a high end jeweler spoke to me in a tone and a way that a child speaks to his or her parent! I was blown away! At that point I told him I would be mailing the ring myself and thanked him for his help, even though they didn't really help me at all. My fiancé and I haven't complained or wrote a review until now because we thought "hey, maybe they're having a bad day"! He an I have have both worked in food, sales, etc... so we get it. But it has literally been EVERY time either one of us is in there. I left today feeling bad about myself because they treated me like a lower class human. A long time ago my fiancé asked for my ring size and I went to Kay Jewelers due to convince. I was treated 100x better there than I ever have been at Fink's. I truly cannot believe how they speak to their customers. I understand that being a Ritani distributer you don't get the sale. But, if you're nice to the customers, and treat them right, they're going to come back. Well, we won't be back, and we won't ever be recommending them to anyone. read more

Appalling customer service!! Fink's jewelers refused to take any responsibility for my lost diamond center stone, which their jeweler set in my engagement ring just 3 months ago. We are pursuing action through the better business bureau, but in the meantime, CONSUMERS BEWARE! Here is our story: My fiance had the center stone of my vintage engagement ring set by Fink's jeweler in February 2015. When he picked up the ring, the setting looked off-center, so he asked the jeweler to adjust it. Fink's told him to return in about an hour and when he came back the second time, the setting still looked crooked. He asked the jeweler to adjust it again, and they told him he was being too picky. He wasn't happy with the job, but figured he should trust their professional opinion. He proposed to me on 1 March 2015 so, I had only been wearing the ring for about 3 months. On 7 June we were sitting at brunch with his family when we realized that the diamond had fallen out of the setting! I can't even describe the feeling that came over me knowing how much time, money, and personal attention he expended to make the ring perfect and now it was gone! It was terrible. After being completely sick to my stomach, tearing apart the restaurant, and retracing our steps, we finally had to accept that the diamond was gone. But then it only got worse dealing with Fink's. We brought the ring to Fink's Dulles location immediately because my fiance would not have a chance to get to Raleigh for a while due his military service. After spending the entire afternoon waiting to hear back from the manager at the Raleigh location, were were advised that we would need to mail the ring to the Raleigh store so they could inspect it. In the meantime, we asked the jeweler at the Dulles location to look at it and he agreed that the prongs looked intact and that there didn't appear to be any damage to the mounting that would cause the stone to fall out. Unfortunately, once the Raleigh store received the ring, they brought it back to the same jeweler who set the stone. This didn't make any sense to us, given the direct conflict of interest. Why would this individual admit that he did a poor job setting the stone and take the blame for causing the diamond to fall out? My fiance was notified two days later that Fink's Raleigh would not take any responsibility WHATSOEVER for the missing diamond. They told him the prong was off by a millimeter and they couldn't guarantee any work they do on mountings purchased outside their store. We suspect it was the jeweler who bent the prong when he originally set it, which is why it looked crooked. The worst part of the situation is that they actually suggested that my fiance tampered with the prongs!! They told him that it looked like someone used pliers on the prong. This was a ridiculous and offensive assertion! It is clear from looking at the ring (and the Dulles jeweler agreed), that there was no tampering with the mounting. The ring is platinum, which is the strongest metal and there was no damage to the setting or prongs. The only explanation for losing the stone is that Fink's jeweler did a sloppy job setting the ring. I am absolutely appalled by Fink's (Raleigh) lack of customer service. Not only did Fink's Raleigh refuse to stand by their work, they also personally offended my fiance in the process. The whole ordeal was stressful, time consuming, and wholly unprofessional. At no point was my fiance warned ahead of time that Fink's Raleigh would not stand by their work. If he knew this was their policy, he would have taken the ring to be set by a different jeweler. As of now, I will not be getting my engagement ring back anytime soon and this is the last thing my fiance needs to deal with given everything on his plate right now. Fink's offered no resolution and no apology. It's so disappointing. On the bright side, the whole ordeal reinforced what I already knew about my fiance: he is amazing and couldn't have handled the situation better. In the end, it's about our love together and no missing diamond or bad customer service can change that. read more

I live in Illinois but my mom lives out by Raleigh, NC and this was going to be the first year I would be away from my mom since my dad (her husband) passed away for their anniversary date, so I wanted to do something special for her. Knowing me and my excellent skills at procrastinating, I called Fink's about a week before the date and asked about a necklace that immediately caught my eye on their website. I spoke to Chae and she informed me that they had no more in the store and it would have to be special ordered and that there was a good chance it would not get there on time, but that she really wanted to help me after hearing my story. She told me to keep looking if there was not a chance to get the original necklace I wanted so that I had a plan B. Chae worked her magic and got me the necklace the day of their anniversary! She gave me her personal number and sent me pictures of the necklace so I could see it before my mom. She helped me set up a time for my mom to come in and she had it all nicely wrapped up for her as well. I can go on and on about how great this place is but I'll cut it short. Chae was amazing and kept me in the loop 24-7, went out of her way to help me even though I was a new time customer and best of all my mom was so surprised! read more
