I came into the shop with a unique vintage Russian watch that was made in the 70's. I had tried to get it fixed at other places but had no luck, would not even look at it. Walls Jewelers has a great watch mechanic that was able to get it fixed and at a great price too. The store owners are very friendly and make you feel like you are part of the family. I know that any repair or jewelry needs I will be coming back to them. I live in Dunn and drove to see them, it was well worth the trip! Thank you again for helping me. read more

Horrible customer service. Extremely rude. Sent a watch to get repaired. And they don't even do it there. Some random takes your watch to his house and you would be waiting a month for it aswell. Many other jewelry's in the area and In house watch makers and repairs in the area. I wouldn't bother with this place ever again. Cheap jewelry and cheap work. read more

I brought a bracelet in for repair . Sterling silver it had two broken point less than 1/8 of an inch . I was told the repair would be 35.00 to 50.00 . When I picked up the bracelet I was charged 70.00. I should have been contacted to approve such a large increase . read more

Found this store on Yelp and from reading prior reviews went down to Wall's to get a couple of watch batteries replaced. Met Larry the owner and he got right to work on replacing the batteries. The price was $5 per watch. When we first moved here my wife had a battery replaced at a Kiosk in the mall and it was $20. We have returned Wall's and purchased some jewelry as well. I found out about Walls Jewelers on Yelp. I live in Chapel Hill but had an appointment in Raleigh so I decided to try it out. I had several necklaces to repair, a bracelet, and a watch battery replacement. I was expecting to spend a pretty penny based on my prievious experience with jewelry stores. When I first entered Walls, Larry greeted me with enthusiasm and a great smile. I showed him my jewelry and he gave me tips and fixed several on the spot. He is very knowledgeable about jewelry and likes to educate the customer on different kinds of jewelry. I spent a fraction of what I thought I would and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. What I appreciate about Larry is that he doesn't gouge you with unnecessary fixes. Walls Jewelers is now my go-to spot for repairs and unique jewelry. The first thing I noticed was the warm welcome I received. It just kept getting better after that. We love to support Mom and Pop and small local businesses. It has been over a dozen years since we had a watch serviced, other than batteries, which we can replace ourselves on a few watches. Discovered Walls when needing serious repairs. His watch repairman (since 1994) works on everything from our Seiko's to your Rolex and other high-end watches. You get a free estimate in a week, repair the following week if desired, and he does not add a big upcharge as some chains have done - just adds $5. Just got a new mainspring in a 110-year old pocket watch and a new circuit board in a 35-year old Seiko - which is now working and keeping perfect time. The latter cost less than simple cleaning done at a mall chain store a dozen years ago (which also wanted to replace an unneeded crystal). Knowing what was wrong with the pocket watch, I can tell these folks are honest and reliable. Plus got a 6-month warranty. We currently have two more watches in for estimates to repair. Larry also changed out a battery - $5 - on another, and fixed a broken band with parts on hand at no charge rather than have to send another to Seiko - the needed part being unique. He and his wife also sell diamond rings and other jewelry at reasonable prices. We wish we had known about them years ago. read more

Wow - when the saying was created that "if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life", it was clearly Larry they were talking about. $5 for a watch battery and replaced on the spot but I got at least $25 more in entertainment value. A five star rating is, in my mind, something special that you only give out very rarely. This place deserves every bit of those five stars. Larry is one of the nicest, most helpful, competent, fairest, and all around coolest guys that you'll ever meet. He's helped me with watches, and other family members with necklaces and bracelets, but to me the standout thing was the amazing repair job he did on a ring that belonged to my grandfather. He took something very sentimental to me, which had been damaged by the passage of many years and adventures, and he made it new again with a level of attention to detail that you'd be hard pressed to find at the world's most hoity-toity jewelry store, and a level of personal care that you'll never ever find anywhere else, ever. This was the best service and experience I have ever had. Mr Larry was truly a pleasure to meet and very reasonable priced.

I was so impressed by Walls that I felt compelled to write this review. I recently brought Larry a watch that needed a new pin and battery. Although he changed the pin in just a few minutes, loosening the back of the watch was another story. It was stuck so tight that, despite several attempts, Larry was unable to pry it open ("in thirty years of business, I've never seen one stuck like that"). He told me that if I left it with him over the weekend (I brought it in on Friday), then he'd take care of it and call me Monday. Keep in mind that this is a very inexpensive repair...however, Larry treated my watch like it was the crown jewels. He brought it to a friend of his across town and together they managed to get the repair done. When I went to pay for the repair, Larry's debit card machine was broken and, since he felt he'd inconvenienced me, he told me that the $5 repair was on the house. I've never had something like this happen, it really made my day. I plan to give them more business in the near future. read more
