I accidentally scheduled for the wrong day and when I showed up, he got me in and gave me a great hair cut. The conversation was genuine and pleasant. I usually don't like to talk during cuts so when I was quiet, he was too. When I wanted to talk, he talked too. Great vibe, awesome service, and again I got a perfect hair cut. Was in area of Avery so scheduled appt. Haircuts were great. What rubbed me wrong was 1. no Shampoo, 2. no hot towel, 3. No massage and was quite rushed. Receptionist was quite chippy and said those were complimentary as time permitted but because they had back to back appts, they couldn't offer it. K. So, the website and booking platform needs to say that. These prices are high for kids 15 and 10. It was a gift of experience which turned into bah hum bug. I will probably give Burnet Store another shot but Avery Ranch - Nopers. read more

I'm not an appointment guy. I like to just show up and get my hair cut, even if I have to wait. But I thought I give it a try with Finley's. My appointment was at 1:30 and I showed 10 minutes early. I was escorted to the waiting room at the back of the shop where coffee, water, sodas and beer are available to customers. 1:30 rolled around and I was shaking hands with Carolina heading to the barbers chair. Impressive. Also impressive was the haircut, and the shampoo afterwards. I hate going back to work with cut hair on my shoulders, so it was nice to get it all washed out. After a quick style I was also given a quick back massage which was really welcomed. Finley's has an old-timey feel with the classic barber chairs and sinks. I recently needed to find a new place to get a haircut, and after seeing the convenient location, I gave Finley's a try. The pros: The haircut received was great, very close to what I expected, and the stylist paid good attention to what I was looking for. They offer beer, coffee or water during the cut, which is a nice thing. They also have small TVs at each haircut station to watch. I enjoyed the warm shaving cream straight razor shave on the back of my neck. The cons: My stylist was relatively short and to the point with me. The conversation felt somewhat forced, more like it was her job to do so rather than she genuinely was looking to get to know a new client. No real personal touch, just very transactional. I put in the appointment notes in advance that my favorite part of every haircut was the massage. Unfortunately, although I paid for the "Premier Hair Package", there was no massaging shampoo or condition; I counted, and both lasted 10ish seconds each...again, no massage! At the end of the styling, the rejuvenating massage that's described is actually a large cushioned vibrating machine...think of a car buffer. It lasted about 20 seconds and was not rejuvenating. I thought I was going to get an actual massage. I was really hoping to enjoy this haircut experience, but it looks like I'll keep looking for a new stylist. read more

WORST...Absolute worst experience I've ever had. First, after showing his hair style to the stylist, she sighs because we want skin and apparently it's an additional $10 and more time. I say ok. (Apologies it was not intentional and would've been remedied if I were to return). I mentioned his cowlicks and how they would need to be cut different. After she finishes I check it and mention the right side going to the side and needing to cut those cowlicks shorter. She argues. Tells me this is the style. I still ask to cut it shorter knowing my sons hair and how he likes it and what he complains about and likes with his haircuts as they grow out. She reluctantly cuts it shorter still arguing it's the style and I told her to do the style to the right. First, I never said that and the picture doesn't show that. Second, I'm still as the paying customer asking for you to simply cut his cowlick a little shorter. The lady sweeping and manning the front desk came over and said I should've booked a longer appointment and need to come back if I want it fixed. I was like ok so I won't pay until then. Like what?!? They then try and consult my son if he likes it. Like are you kidding?!? It was a simple cowlick. I don't care if it's the style "we never asked for" She literally had my son get up to wait immediately after being done. We've had multiple hair cuts from finleys(never this location) and have had a wonderful experience and never had an issue with the cowlick. The fade was beautiful, but the customer service and understanding not everyone is a cookie cutter hair cut per the "style". For those with cowlicks...you know. They ended up asking us to leave without paying. Shame for them, I'm a good tipper and still would've tipped as I do despite the customer service. After terrible experiences we weren't coming back. But my husband needed a last minute haircut and they were available and we requested a different person and have been very happy. A few times she wasn't available and we had a different person (not the bad one) and all have been good except one. I believe they're doing a better job hiring talent. Good job! read more

I would give this location 10/10 for the service and amazing quality that Chelsea would provide me. I'm not one to leave reviews but I regret no doing one sooner for her. She no longer works as a barber and I have been trying to find the "one". Tried out a couple of different ones and the one that compelled me to make one was Cynthia. I've read through great reviews about her and wanted to give her a shot. Felt like the appointment was rushed, did not listen to how I wanted my hair to look. Did not get the massage (which I could care less for) but considering the quality and treatment I received it's sort of like the cherry in top.
