Atmosphere was absolutely amazing. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. The wife and I went there for 22nd wedding anniversary, and it was our first time visiting there. This place has a lovely patio. The food was good and the drinks were fine. But service was something else. The table next to us had been vacated, but never cleared. In fact, when we asked about their curled potatoes, the waiter showed us one from the garbage on that table. One waiter's uniform shirt was too small and short, so her belly, hanging over the top of her pants, was clearly visible. To accompany one friend's soup, the waiter brought a sleeve of saltine crackers still in the plastic wrapper and set it on the table! We decided to take a day trip from Grand Lake. Finns was such a pleasant surprise. The 3 of us had the prime rib sandwich. Where do I start? I called on Thursday to make reservations for three guests for this coming Sunday. At this time I explained that I would be bringing my 93 year mother with us. I further explain that she uses a walker and asked if there would be any problem. The gentleman that I spoke with did explain there was one step up from the parking lot to get into the restaurant. One step would not be a problem. (Not sure how someone in a wheel chair would get in. There was only one entrance that was marked for Finn's. How this restaurant is ADA compliant is another issue.) Our reservation was at 12:30 pm, and we arrived a 12:25 pm. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. I thought that this was a good sign (I need to explain no one in our party has been to Finn's before). Here's where it went down hill. We were brought to a table which appears was set for two guest. The hostess brought in another chair to complete the table for three guests. Then the same hostess brought us ONE menu for three of us to share (really now? I thought Finn's was a restaurant. If they cannot afford menu's why are they in business? That was the last interaction with anyone from the wait staff for 20 minutes (time was 12:50 pm, we were seated at 12:30 pm). Finally the waitress made it over to our table but it was too late. My 93 year old mother was disgusted by this time and we left. I will give credit where credit is due. The bar area, where we were seated, was nicely appointed. (Problem: too many tables in such a small area. Which is why I believe the table we were seated was for only two guests.) Needless to say no one in our party will be returning. read more

A great brunch place that's easily missed as its on 32nd but not directly visible from the road. They have bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary's which is a brunch essential. The Hangover burger is delicious and the home fries are even better! Great service and very cool atmosphere with lots of space for big parties and patio area. We are SAD and DISAPPOINTED on Easter Day because of Finn's. We were truly looking forward to trying the Easter brunch at Finn's and were willing to pay $25 a person to have an elegant meal. I called and made a reservation and talked to the chef himself, Mickel Clark, and was assured a table at 10:15 Easter morning. When we arrived, however, we were told the reservation was never written down and there were no tables available. The receptionist offered us a bar stool, but that was hardly the elegant brunch setting we had in mind. No supervisor was consulted and no compensation offered for their mistake and our inconvenience. I'm afraid the place is run by amateurs. Beware! read more

For the price you pay you would expect a flawless meal and service. However that's not the case, our two starters came out about 5 minutes apart, the fried pickles were soggy and full of grease, the crab dip was good though. Then they ran out of salmon and didn't know till 10 minutes after we ordered. The whole meal didn't even come out at once, half came out and 9 minutes later the other half came out. My shrimp were cold, the corn brulee was lacking seasoning and Mac had sat in the window long enough to get a film on it. Service was decent but they definitely are overpriced for what you get. Manager didn't really even seem to care when I said my shrimp were cold, she said we can throw them back on the grill but because they are small they just get cold. Pretty sure they were waiting in the window with the other food while they cooked the other entree. Poor management for sure in the kitchen read more

I tried this restaurant after discovering it on yelp. I went on a weekday for an early lunch. The decor was very nice, heavy high backed wooden chairs and an impressive bar. We were the only one's there and our waitress was great about answering questions about the menu and the restaurant in general. The menu was what you would expect from a lunch menu with sandwich, salad and soup options. I ordered a chicken wrap and it was good. They were setting up for an event in the banquet space next door, so tables were being rolled through the bar. It didn't bother me because we were there before a normal lunch service, but I could see how it may bother some. My only criticism is the silverware. It's what you would expect at a banquet and felt out of place with the restaurant decor. But that is quite nit picky of a very good experience. We visited on a quiet Saturday evening. I ordered soup and salad and my husband ordered an entree. It took 40 minutes for my soup and his salad to arrive. The soup was tasty, but a little over seasoned. The romaine lettuce in my salad was very dark green and a little bitter - seemed like the outer leaves that I usually compost at home. The steak in my salad was cooked to order, but like the soup, a little over seasoned. I did not receive the bread that, according to the menu, accompanied the salad. My husband enjoyed his meal, though the vegetables were over-glazed. Nothing was awful- if the issue had been with EITHER the food or the service, I'd give it another try. But since both failed to meet expectations, I probably won't return. read more
