Finns is not the most appealing place .Very easy on the pocketbook , very accessible parking .My room was basic ,clean . The bathroom was recently remodeled . The nice man the front was polite .It is a vintage .well worn motel .Breakfast is very close. I'd recommend this place.

I had one small booking error (my fault) and after speaking with manager Jaime- not only did she assist me but upgraded me. - Check-in was quick & easy. Tara was very welcoming and helpful! - Check-out was quick as well. Dani was very friendly and conversational. - The rooms include mini fridges and microwaves. - Free breakfast including hot & cold items. I have stayed here several times visiting family in St. James. The variety of items was not as extensive as it is during summer months but still a good variety. (In summer there are toppings for the homemade waffles and variety of pastries). The waffles are my favorite. - Indoor pool - This is one of the reasons I stay here! Great indoor pool that closes at midnight - Free Wine Tasting- Another favorite feature of the hotel. You can sample many award winning wines. - Conveniently located right off I-44 and next to McDonalds (walking across parking lot) - Free parking and lots of spaces available CON's -Outdated motel - but you know that looking at the photos. Most rooms are exterior rooms. Interior rooms available upon request but very limited. - Bed is very firm. But pillows are super soft and they will provide extra pillows upon request. - Weak shower pressure (again nothing they can really do about the shower pressure) Overall I give it 4 stars. I love the staff. I feel safe and sleep well here. I do reccomend Greenstay. It is not a Hilton or luxury hotel but is the best St. James has to offer. It is worth the price you pay.

The rooms appeared to have the beds made but whatever offensive air freshener was used was so strong that it was almost unbearable. Our miniature schnauzer threw up it was so bad. Air conditioning was barely able to keep the room cool enough but made the room so humid all of our belongings were wet. We packed up the next morning and didn't even stay the next night. No refund was given for the night we didn't stay.. would not recommend.. go to Rolla or cuba. UPDATE!!!! OUR DOG CAUGHT FLEAS FROM STAYING IN THIS GARBAGE DUMP..!!!

Check-in was quick and easy, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and well-maintained. Most importantly, I got a great night's sleep, which made all the difference. Right off the highway and near our relative's house. The hotel itself was new and modern. Love the decor. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a king bed and a pullout sofa. Having 2 TVs was nice to let the kids watch one and we had the other. Bed was comfy and shower was always hot. As for amenities, we used the fitness room daily. There was plenty of cardio equipment and my husband used the free weights. We planned to let the kids use the indoor pool but never got around to it. As for the breakfast, it is good. There is always some kind of eggs and meat (since we eat low carb, this is clutch.) There are also other options like homemade waffles, various breads, bagels, pastries, muffins, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal. One day they had cheese omelets but they were out. I asked a worker and they not only replenished them, she brought one over to me so I didn't have to get up. (So nice.) The workers here were all wonderful. Every single one of them were friendly and helpful. We definitely plan to stay here next time we're in town!

The young gentleman working the front desk when I checked in was courteous and helpful getting me settled in. I booked a king room with a study. The room was large enough so I didn't feel cramped and crowded. I could spread out and get some work done. The room felt modern, the linens were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was pretty standard. My only complaint about my visit was the water pressure. I love a good hot shower. I tried different settings on the shower head but was disappointed. They offer breakfast and have a very nice selection. There are standard cold items fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. there was a waffle station and meat and eggs. The coffee was the perfect compliment to my meal. I will be traveling this way again soon. I will be back soon.

My bar was a bit low when booking this particular hotel prior to our departure. Rolla is a mining area and not really a bustling spot for regular travelers like myself otherwise. Parked directly between Springfield and St. Louis though, it was going to be the ideal spot for us to wrap up 10 hours of driving that day. This Hampton Inn seemed to be the best option in the area. Clearly the most expensive hotel for Rolla, it appeared other options had exceptionally bad ratings or were super cheep road side rooms. Traveling with one other female, a kid and a dog, we booked the Hampton Inn because: 1) it would take a pet ($75 pet fee) 2) it had a frig in the room 3) assumed better safety based on hotel brand name 4) no other known option in my opinion I felt comfortable booking Small, friendly, easy, relatively clean, I found this Hampton Inn just fine. It includes breakfast every morning in addition to two bottles of water in the room. Priced a touch high for area, but not really though for being the best option in area and safety in the Hilton branded Hampton name. Carson who checked us in was friendly, welcoming and explained all we needed to know. Thanks Carson for the hospitality. No USB port options in room, which was my only noticeable con observation. The bathroom could use a little update, maybe some sanding down of the paint on the vanity that was pealing away specifically, but was clean, with plenty of towels and bottled pump shampoo/conditioner/body wash in shower. It was ok. It had a clock, when many hotels are doing away with these in today's world. With 4am wake up times, best to have options for alarms. Although we arrived late, I believe it also serves an easy dinner in the same area as they serve breakfast. Pictures look like maybe a simply pasta, some breads, etc. Don't let my 3 be a discouraging rating. It means to me OK good, not OK bad.

Our family stayed here while visiting. We used to exclusively stay at this brand of hotels but…read morerecently switched to Fairfield Inns. Unfortunately, the NEW Fairfield which was nearby was literally DOUBLE the price of this one so we stayed here. While it wasn't terrible, it wasn't the great great either. We liked the location of this hotel, right off the interstate. Having the shopping plaza right there with TJMAXX, Ross and Academy Sports was nice as there isn't *that* much to do in Rolla but shopping is alway fun. The one negative about the location is there really isn't any food options RIGHT nearby. Perhaps down the road they'll build some restaurants?? The building itself is ok. I'm pretty sure this hotel is older but renovated. Our 2 queen room was comfortable and clean. The hotel has a fitness center and indoor pool which we did not utilize. A big draw of this hotel brand is their free breakfast with their "famous" Cinnamon Rolls. (Drool). I would eat my weight in those things except that I wouldn't want to be like 500lbs so I limit myself to one or two. Aside from them, various types of eggs (some days scrambled, some days fried), sausage or bacon, biscuits and gravy, made to order pancake machine, cold cereals, yogurt and some breads/bagels. Coffee was always hot and fresh. One of the biggest negatives is that the side door key card reader didn't work. As a result, someone kept putting a rock in the door to keep it open. (We assumed workers were doing this so they could go out and come in for smoke breaks). Needless to say, we didn't feel very safe having a locked door kept ajar for anyone to waltz into our hotel unnoticed. We kicked the rock away numerous times but another one would return. As for the employees, everyone I talked to were friendly, especially the breakfast attendant. With that said, I have been taught to not judge a book by it's cover... but many of the "books" here look pretty rough around the edges. We kept a "do not disturb" card on our door hoping to keep anyone out of our room. We also didn't bring anything of value into the room just in case. Maybe we're mistaken. All in all, we had a good stay here and would consider visiting again.
