Finally did a water test strip on brand new water that I purchased from the fish room that day and noticed that the pH was fine but the alkalinity is very very low. Water was also on the hard side. And chlorine was questionable. And yes, the water strips that I purchased and were new and purchased from a reputable company. Is the Fish Room testing their own water system before selling to customers??????

Some tanks definitely seem diseased and not cleared of deceased fish . I've seen fish act a bit erratic and ill. But their products have a wide variety and when the tanks seem okay, they have a really nice stock of fish and always seem to have what I need. Salt water tanks seem pretty great, plants have always been clean and safe of traveling snails. I still come here quite a lot. I enjoy it!

The tanks are not spit shined the cleanest but the fish are happy and none were seen floating stuck to the filters as you see in the other stores. The merchandise stock and brand selection doesn't seem to be large but they had all the essentials and indicated they could order what you needed if not seen in the store. All in all, I liked what I saw and it seems these guys know their fish and are set up to offer a nice variety not found in our area. They specialize in quality fish more than housekeeping and that is what counts.

I went to Taylor's Aquarium, and they tested my water and gave me some bacteria to add to my tank since it was new. Petco told me my water was fine. I have since purchased 5 fish from Taylor's, and they have been doing well for over a month now. I'm planning to get to Taylor's today for a couple more fish. It's such a relief to know the crew here--Jillian, Evan, and Chris--are not only friendly and laidback, but also incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. I'm fairly new to the hobby and they've always been patient in answering my questions, guiding me through everything, and encouraging me to do my research before purchasing. I'm especially into puffer fish and rainbow fish, and every fish I've brought home from here has been healthy and in great condition. During the move, they noticed my plumbing setup wasn't ideal and completely redid it, which has been a huge improvement. Unfortunately, I did lose three fish during the move, but they stood behind their work and gave me a livestock credit without any hassle. That level of customer service says a lot. Their prices seem to be right in line with other local fish stores. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that right before they relocated, I purchased a few replacement fish and lost two of them within a week while they were in my quarantine tank. To be fair, losses can happen with any fish store, and that's just part of the reefing hobby. What has always stood out to me is how informative, honest, and courteous the staff is. They're willing to answer questions, offer advice, and genuinely help hobbyists succeed. I haven't had a chance to visit their new location yet, but I definitely plan to soon. Overall, I'd recommend Triad aquatic Critters to anyone in the reefing community looking for knowledgeable service and a store that stands behind its customers.

I hadn't had much luck with anemones and people kept telling me that they weren't healthy when I got them (from our LFS.) That must have been it! This rainbow bubble tip anemone is incredible!
