I am so happy with the lash lift I got from Fiona. The whole experience was relaxing and enjoyable, and I will absolutely go back in the future. Setting an appointment with her was so easy -- I used Yelp's message box and she was super responsive and flexible with appointment times. Accessing the location was easy, and since I was early, I waited in the beautiful gazebo that's right outside her studio. Once inside, Fiona made me feel welcome and comfortable right away -- she was playing relaxing classical music and the whole space is decorated with (fake) flowers and greenery. I cannot overstate my appreciation and admiration of Fiona and her work. I had been getting lash lifts (no extensions) for a bit in my hometown of Springfield, IL, but they hardly lasted long. I have been going to Fiona's Lashes for about 9 months now and I have done both her lash lift and eyelash extension services. As someone who prefers a more dramatic look, I opt for the eye lash extensions. I'll break the rest of my review into categories. Booking services: The online sign-up shows you all available times. The website is easy and straightforward to navigate. And Fiona's response time for any questions is super fast. She fills up fast sometimes, so I try to book 2 weeks in advance. Location/studio: The studio is easy to find and there is always plenty of parking. The decor inside is super cute and relaxing. Her table bed is super comfy and she offers a soft fuzzy blanket if cold. She plays calming music in the background too that helps pass the time. Lash Lift: This lasted me about 2 months. It was very natural. One benefit is you can wear makeup and wash your face directly. It's much lower maintenance with longer results but not as dramatic as eye lash extensions. (I have shorter, straight "Asian" lashes so this was beneficial to me if I wore mascara but I couldn't really see as much of a difference without makeup). If you have long thick lashes this would be perfect for you. It looks amazing on some of my friends. Lash extension: The extensions last me 2-3 weeks. I regularly get max out fills. I LOVE them. Fiona asked me during my first set what I wanted and she nailed it exactly. She talked through the first application because I didn't know the process. But now with the fills I just doze off. I am a night shift nurse and many times I come straight after a 12 hour graveyard shift, so I appreciate not always having to be super chatty. The lashes themselves need higher maintenance but Fiona goes into detail on the pre/after care before and after each appointment. I prefer dramatic sets but she has a lot of reviews of her classic, more natural sets and they all look stellar. I definitely recommend! Overall, Fiona's product, process, and customer service are amazing. For example, I had recently gotten a full set and within 3 days many of the lashes on one of my eyes fell out in one section. This has never happened before so I was kinda shocked. I texted her about it asking what I could do and Fiona offered to get me in the next morning to fix it up complimentary. I have been going to Fiona for about a year now for lash extensions. Having lash extensions are so convenient, and it saves me a lot of time getting ready. The first fill lasts about two hours. The process is painless, but I would recommend bringing headphones and listening to a podcast or music to help pass the time. Also if you are like me and have a small bladder, make sure you don't drink a lot before you get your lashes done! You should also avoid coffee or caffeine. I always shower before I get my lashes done because you cannot get them wet 24 hours after you get your extensions. I love going to Fiona because she really cares about her customers and the quality of her work. One time I got a fill that seemed to fall out faster than normal. I told Fiona, and the next time I came in she gave me a full set to make up for it. She really cares about her customers happiness and satisfaction. Since I am Asian and have shorter lashes, she recommended that I get shorter, curled lashes that show up more and will last longer. My lashes usually last about 3 weeks before I need another fill. Her booking system is really easy to use. If I ever need to change an appointment she replies really quickly via e-mail or text. She is great at responding to any questions or changes to appointments. Fiona does book up quickly so it is always best to book ahead. My friend has been getting her lash lifts from Fiona and recommended I give it a try. My lashes have been really brittle after years of on-off lash extensions but recently --- thanks to a lash lengthening serum I've been successfully using, I finally had some decently looking natural lashes. Except they didn't curl up without using a curler. So I thought I'd give it a lash lift a try. I drove down from Corona to take part in the "Eyelash Lift for Two" Deal which is a back to back keratin lash lift deal. Her office is within a commercial building, but the decor inside -- is super cute! She designed it with florals hanging down and a faux grass panel on the other side. My friend went first so that I could witness the exact process before it was my turn. I've had lash perms done before, so it looked fairly similar. Instead of a rod and the smelly perm chemical, Fiona places a eye pad on the bottom lashes and then proceeds to place a silicone looking eye pad to the top of the lashes. She then starts to pull up your lashes over it. It wasn't painful at all and you might even doze off, if you're not yapping away like me. After 45 minutes, voila!! Natural lashes are LIFTED! And my eyes weren't red at all! The lift is supposed to last 2-3 months as well. With a yelp-check in deal she offers a complimentary lip mask! (I took mine home to try at a later time) She has a great website where you can make your appointments online and she says she doesn't mind texts either. I had no idea I was going to have a bad experience- the studio I was directed to is a fairly popular place with 4.5 stars in downtown, but NAH DON'T DO IT. I ignored the reviews written by those who complained their bottom lashes came out crimped, or upper lashes being overly curled and flipping, being double booked so that the owner was running between rooms...and then I had the same exact experience. I had to argue with the owner till she would even see me and try to fix my crispy bottom lashes. For my top lashes, she basically said you're on your own till they grow out -_- tldr, I had major PTSD, and was almost tempted to drive 2 hours back to LA to see my friend and get a guaranteed perfect lift from her, but gas is expensive sooo I decided to hit up Yelp and try to give someone else another shot before I really gave up. I actually had my eye on Fiona's Lashes for a while before I decided to finally go in (PTSD, didn't want to spend another 2 months with messed up lashes), but I'm so glad I gave her a shot! She's communicative, friendly, and easy to talk to- it's pretty easy to book an appointment with her on her site, and she'll text you the day before to remind you. When I went in for my appointment, Fiona had a mask on, the studio looked clean and was easy to find, and there was plenty of parking in the lot. There's also only a single chair so she won't be working on another client simultaneously while doing yours. I didn't experience any discomfort during the lift- Fiona was super gentle and once I got used to the bright light, it was a fairly relaxing hour. I enjoyed being able to talk to with her about how she got into beauty, and how she chose the products she uses on her clients. She made me feel comfortable the whole time I was there, and I don't think I'll be going to anyone else now- I've found my lash lady in SD!
