My 90-minute body massage and cupping therapy at San Diego's Sanctuary of Art and Healing with Dr. Jordan Delagrange reflected that traditional, therapeutic approach rather than a decorative or spa-oriented one. The techniques were applied in a targeted and methodical way, consistent with their original clinical purpose. This experience differs significantly from a typical massage or spa service. The focus is not on relaxation or pampering, but on addressing muscular tension, circulation issues, and areas of stagnation. While most of the session was painless, certain areas were intense where tension was present, which felt appropriate given the treatment goals. This is structured, results-driven bodywork rooted in traditional healing practices. Highly recommended for those seeking therapeutic massage, cupping therapy, or gua sha in San Diego rather than a standard spa experience.

He has his Doctorate in Eastern medicine and I swear does some magic." Can confirm after purchasing a package with Dr. Jordan that he does in fact do some magic. He expertly massages the body (as well as the mind) in exactly the way it needs. I've since moved up to North County but I still find myself making my way down for appointments and it's 100% worth the trek!

I went to the 9:00am Vinyasa Power class. I felt included and welcomed even though I didn't look like the other girls going. The instructor was on top of her stuff. Creating a flow accessible for beginners but great top students with a touch of spice. The classic, power vinyasa one-breath-one-posture sequence was in there. I encourage new comers to go at their own pace. Margy was masterful. Walking around the class, to give attention. she mentioned hand-on-assists but there weren't any, which is typical for this branded style. Bravo Yoga Box! It's hard to pull off and your team left me feeling amazing!

They have a fantastic "try 3 free classes" deal for those who haven't tried Yoga Box before. I tried 2 of the 3 classes, both Power Vinyasa classes, as I am very much a beginner. Even the Power Vinyasa class moved pretty quickly so I ended up taking a few breaks to catch up. Can be tough if you don't know the name of certain moves but the instructors do a good job of demonstrating & watching other folks who know what they're doing is helpful. The studio is very communicative ahead of your first class and they do a good job of letting you know what to brings(yoga mat, towel, water). The studio is extremely clean & the instructors were very nice. I will say, I think this is pretty tough for someone (me) who has never done yoga before. It gets very warm in the room (97 degrees) and you will sweat a LOT. Like puddles of sweat. I recall the music in both classes I attended being really good. The prices seem pretty fair compared to other workout studios around PB (I think currently like $114/month for unlimited classes...that seems like a good deal (though I don't know how much other yoga classes cost) and there are a wide selection of time slots so seems to be good for early birds & those who want to come after work / later in the evening. Parking in the lot was nearly impossible but there is nearby residential parking...I got lucky both times but could see that being an issue depending on the time of day. So despite not yoga not being a good fit for me, I'd still highly recommend it to those wanting to try / those who know they like yoga!

This is a women owned business & I cannot be more proud of Erika & Leeann for doing what they do, what they've accomplished, & what is yet to come! This studio isn't your typical Barre studio, they really do teach more than just Barre, but also connecting to your mind, body, & soul. I love the fact this studio is not a chain, which makes it more special because it locally owned & their technique is impressive! I noticed there is never more than 10 people in the class, which is a plus! The instructors are able to concentrate on helping everyone with their forms & it becomes more personal compared going to a chain. I love the fact that every class/workout is different! The esthetics of the studio is what makes it different as well. Everything from the scents to décor, it gives a good energy & it literally doesn't make you feel like you're at a typical gym or workout space. All the women who work in the studio really do put in all their efforts to make everyone special & feel so welcomed. Try a class & you won't regret it!

Class sizes are small and Erika and LeeAnn are amazing instructors! One thing so unique about this studio is Erika makes sure your form is correct so that you don't hurt yourself. So appreciative of Erika and the Barre and Bay Wreath community. I hadn't taken barre classes previously and was very weak when I first started, but I always felt welcome. Love coming to classes here and can really see the difference in how strong I'm getting!! Can't wait for my next class!!
