Had a WONDERFUL time, it was perfect and went beyond my expectations. If you live in the Phoenix area and are looking to experience hot air ballooning first hand, and would rather not experience it with a gondola full of out of town visitors, then I highly recommend this outfit. They are smaller than the competition, so they provide a more personal experience IMO, with fewer people along for the ride. Because they are a smaller outfit, be prepared to be an active participant and part of the "crew" as the balloon is being prepared for launch and when it's time to put it away (this is a more "hands-on" outfit and adds to the overall experience IMO), so dress accordingly. My sweetie had no idea and was totally thrilled to say the least when she found out what her surprise was. The "tail-gate" party with Mimosas and varies delectable treats at the end of our balloon journey was the icing on the cake (hearing more of the history of ballooning while enjoying the drinks and treats was a welcome plus for us, very interesting). A complete VIBE!…read more Spencer was our guide and it was just us with him, so it felt like a private tour which I loved! I had never gone ATV riding before, but now I'm obsessed and want to go again. Spencer was very informative about how to turn on our vehicle, helmet and goggle placement, scarf placement (he provided the scarves for us to keep) to prevent as much dust from entering your mouth while driving, and ultimately how to drive the the ATV safely. Periodically he would make stops to describe the history of different cacti or different overlooks for photo opportunities. I had so much fun and left very dusty but very happy lols definitely check them out if you're in the Scottsdale or Phoenix area!

We were exploring Old Town Scottsdale last February when we came across this spot. We were already…read moredeep within the 2026 olympics, so, we thought it might be neat to try curling. Now I realize that the 2026 was a Summer Olympics and Curling is part of the Winter Olympics, but we didn't care Upon entry to go to the host stand and tell them what you're looking to do (activities vs bar/waiting). The space is relatively open and you can immediately see the fully stocked bar, the bowling area, the back axe throwing lanes, and the enclosed curling lanes. We opted for a package that got us unlimited games (any) for an hour. We started with curling and we didn't need any special clothes or shoes. We were lead to a lane and it's set up like shuffleboard (you can stand on either side and there's two separate color stones). There's ice where you glide your stones and you stand on rubber for traction. You can glide by hand or use a piece of equipment that is essentially a stick to help push and guide your stone. There's an attendant on duty to help any stones that are stuck or that don't make it down the lane The experience was awesome. We've always wanted to try curling, but it's difficult to find somewhere that is set up to let you do that. We were amazed that we finally tried it in a desert of all places. There are no brushes like in typical curling, but you still get a sense of the Olympic activity. The bowling was fun too, but it's a smaller version like you might see in some novelty bars. Axe throwing was that of typical ax throwing. You had a couple different sizes of axes, there's lanes and you throw at a wooden target. They had computers to input your name and keep track of points. It was sometimes difficult to stick the wooden target, but it was fun We didn't try the food or drink, but everything looked good. The staff were very helpful. It was a weekend, and it wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Overall it was a fun experience Some tips: If your stones seem to be getting stuck down the lane, ask the attendant to move you to another lane. That's what we did and it made all the difference Explore the rest of bustling Old Town Scottsdale. Highly recommend checking out House Rules, especially with our summers being so hot. This is a great indoor activity. In a nutshell, the Aerogelics team is a little rough around the edges - don't give up just yet…read more They are great at what they do, operate successfully team, and ensure your safety is prioritized and your experience is wonderful :) We found Aerogelic Ballooning when my friend was visiting from out of state and saw a discounted balloon ride on a couple websites. I attempted to contacted Aerogelic via phone to inquire about scheduling with no answer so I tried texting. I did hear back at the end of the day and the answer was quite short. We ended up booking and the confirmation email with instructions indicated meeting at a nearby Starbucks at a specific time but there was fine print on the email saying this might not be the actual time and to contact the office. I again texted the number and received a response regurgitating what was written in the email that I perceived as rude (commence practicing this thing where I don't take things personally which is super easy to say and extremely hard to do - I was just trying to be a thoughtful, organized, reliable rider). The morning of the ride, we met at the Starbucks and ran inside to use the bathroom which is for customers only so the staff wasn't really thrilled about that. We met at the van and shortly after, a crowd of people were yelled at to hurry up and told (scolded it seemed) that they didn't have time to get coffee. Not off to the best start but trying to keep a positive attitude here. On the way to the location we'd take off from, my friend and I sat in the first row of van seats and chatted with Shane and Michelle who opened up and were actually very friendly and knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Maybe the perceived shortness was really just focus and the perception wasn't reflective of their intent. The crew inflated the balloon very quickly to erect it and we were off within maybe ~20 mins of arriving at the site. This was my third balloon ride (first with Aerogelic) and they were by far the speediest; it was quite impressive. Our section of the basket had an extra person than the other sections so Shane offered my friend to stand in the center with him for a more authentic pilot's experience ;-) Shane told us stories and history about the landscape and geography and offered to help us capture some unique and special photos. The toast at the end is a nice ritual to conclude the experience and kill time while the crew packed up, which again, was super speedy! My advice to future flyers is to arrive a few minutes even earlier (I know, it sucks!!) to use the bathroom, if needed, and to give the crew a break. They are truly doing so much with such limited resources. They love what they do and it shows.

The Phoenix 10K race has been around for fifty years. I ran this race for the first time and really…read moreenjoyed my run. I did the 5K version. I thought it was well organized and I enjoyed the race route. You get nice views of the Valley as you are running toward the finish line. There are five race options - 5K, 10K, half-marathon, full-marathon and the kid's Mollen Mile. The race was founded by Dr. Art Mollen and is presented by HonorHealth Foundation. It was once called the 3TV Phoenix 10K. The Phoenix 10K the longest-running 10K in Arizona and is for runners of all ages and levels of experience. The race takes place near the Biltmore Fashion Park and includes a shirt and finisher's medal. I like that the event is big on promoting healthy habits and a healthier lifestyle. I had a fun time and look forward to running it during their 50th anniversary in 2025.

I participated in the Phoenix 10K last Sunday, and while I also was not a fan of the race t-shirts,…read moreI thought the race was extremely well organized, and I had a lot of fun! With over 2000 people racing, there seemed to be adequate staff and volunteers working so that it flowed smoothly. I'm pretty sure the race started right on time also - I hate it when races don't start when they say they are going to! Since it was a timing chip calculated race, it didn't matter that we were not right up at the start line when the official start (gun shot or horn) went off. We finished up at the porta-potties and walked over and then jumped into the crowd. I didn't mind the fact that it was 2 loops... I took the first loop slow and picked it up once I was warmed up for the second time around. Thanks to the guys who were cheering from behind me during that last mile - you did motivate me to pick up my pace, and I was happy with my time even though my BF beat me for the first time ever! Thanks Marcus for convincing me to sign up for this race even though it was early and cold on a Sunday morning - it was a ton of fun! Thanks also to all of the sponsors, volunteers, and bands that came out to motivate that morning! I look forward to participating again in future races!
