Today was the day I finally got to try one. Upon pulling in, it puts you in the mindset of Sonic. You pull up, press the button, and place your order. The menu has a variety of options which adds to the individualistic approach of this spot. Due to the menu it's more than just a burger joint. I decided to get the Bacon Cheeseburger Basket with a Sweet Tea! Babeeeeeeeeeeeeee. When I tell you this Sweet Tea was THE BOMB!!!!! I'm talking steeped, sweet, and refreshing. It definitely satisfied my sweet tea desire and that's not an easy task. LoL. The Bacon Burger was an experience. The beef was quality meat, well seasoned and perfectly grilled. The bacon was thick sliced and well done. The fixings of the burger were fresh and didn't make the bread soggy. Furthermore, it was just the right amount of lettuce and tomatoes... The burger didn't come with condiments on it so make sure you ask for them if you desire. The fries were crinkled which is my personal favorite. They were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Golden fried and good all by themselves. No salt or ketchup was needed. Mr. D's was a mouth pleasing, hunger satisfying experience. I'm glad I had the opportunity to try it out and I definitely recommend if you're in the area and in the mood for a good burger to stop by. Next time I'm in town I want to try the Wing Basket. I tried the Grippos Chicken Sandwich and Grippos fries combo (because if you're in Evansville, Grippos is a thing), my mom had fried mushrooms, and my dad tried the fish sandwich. We all thought the food was tasty, and the portion sizes were great for the price, lots of food, and not breaking the bank. The biggest drawback is that they have no public restroom. They'll direct you to the Circle K gas station across the street, but said gas station won't let you use theirs without buying something. If you're local, you're probably fine with this, but we had just arrived in town after a road trip, so this made things a touch uncomfortable.

As a matter of fact, I probably could have made a better burger on my backyard grill. The fries were nothing special either. The only reason I'm rating this place a 3 star & not 2 star is because the chicken strips my wife ordered somewhat saved my disappointment with this restaurant. They were decent & they have a good bbq dipping sauce. Would I come back? No.

I ordered a double hamburger combo with onion rings and a root beer my wife ordered a cheeseburger combo with fries and a root beer. Their burgers are smash burgers with a slightly crispy edge and an amazing beefy flavor. I mean these were really really delicious burgers. The onion rings were very good and we preferred those to the fries. Fries were good but the onion rings were just better in our opinion. We didn't order any ice cream but a table next to us ordered a banana split and it was huge and looked like one of those banana splits seen in a commercial. I mean it looked fabulous. Prices are about average for these days but for freshly prepared food with the burger having such good flavor, IMO, worth the price.
