Firefly Electric fixed a particularly tricky electric issue for me. My kitchen island went dead (no power) one day and the breaker was not tripped. Ryan was able to come out the next day to debug the problem. For some reason, the neutral connection feeding the island wasn't connected to the breaker box anymore. He asked me a series of questions like "what was happening when the power died?" and "what was added when the kitchen was remodeled a few years back?" He theorized that a nearby switch-box in the kitchen was probably where the power came in from the panel, opened it up, retightened the wire nuts that connected all the neutrals together and... voila... restored power to the island. Scheduled my appointment a week ago. I received a confirmation email and text shortly after speaking to them. Normally a company will call or text the day before just to confirm the schedule appointment. I didn't receive one. The day of the appointment, I called 45 mins before my scheduled time to confirm. I was told they would reach out to the worker to get an ETA. I also texted to confirm i was still on schedule. My return text says "I will be arriving closer to 10am. The time stamp was 9:36am. At 10:03 I received a call from the technician saying will be another 30 mins, just got out of bed and had a stomach ache. This guy sounded very unprofessional. Had an NEMA outlet in my garage that I'm not sure if still working so I had a couple of other guys come to give me estimates on installing a 240v outlet for EV charging, they all said the existing one will not work and quoted me some insane number (some even over $2000) for installing a new one. These guys are solid. I had a light switch issue in two bedrooms and I couldn't fix them on my own. I figured it would be a long shot to get someone out in the next few days, but these guys were able to come out the next day. They came looking professional and clean with collared shirts. After they efficiently did the work (and fixed both switches) I asked if they could look at a few other electrical items which they did with no issue. I started to get nervous about the cost as their work was top notch and they fixed everything I had issues with quickly, but when I received the invoice it was for just one hour at the standard rate (they were at my house for a total of 45 minutes).
