Food, service and ambience were great! Had a Wallace burger and it was delicious. Had a couple of sour beers and they were great. Our server was simply amazing! We stayed at the patio with our dog and that was great!!

Travelling through Cranbrook, our concierge pointed us to this place as one he knew did GF food, due to my gluten allergy. We were not disappointed! We had two delicious meals - a burger and a chicken club (both on a very delicious GF bun), and we were assured that the french fries had their own fryer. The Dirty Burger was outstanding, made from 5oz of ground brisket and a homemade sauce that was amazing! The Chicken club had a tomato relish that was wonderful, too. While the items are not marked GF, a quick discussion with the hostess and the waitress assured us that they were very aware of food allergies, and took great care with our meals.

Fire Hall was absolutely amazing! Adorable setting, quick and friendly service, and suuuch good food! I got the kale Caesar with grilled chicken, and the salad itself was amazing (though the chicken was a bit dry)- the dressing was delicious, the fried Brie is what dreams are made of, and the candied lemon was such a fun touch! A couple of my friends got burgers and fries, which looked excellent, and another friend had some shrimp lettuce wraps, which he said he enjoyed. Everything was fresh and flavorful- I would definitely go again on my next trip through Cranbrook!

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here. We shared the huge steak nachos. The service was great and the outdoor seating perfect for an meal. Would go back for sure if in the area.

Inside facing the patio. Tons of seating outside.

OVERALL: 8.6/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 4.3/5). My partner and I visited here after our initial lunch plans fell through due to lack of sandwiches (it's a long story). We were driving through Cranbrook, BC, on our way to Calgary (road trip!), and we needed a bite before continuing onwards to the mountains. VERDICT: Definitely a gem in the Cranbrook area - I'd probably be a regular if I lived in the city! 1) VARIETY/SELECTION: 8.5/10. Womp womp... they didn't have salmon when we were there (the kitchen said they were "out"), so we couldn't order the salmon poke nachos. My partner wanted salmon on the salad; she ended up ordering grilled chicken cuz they ran out of salmon. This is what led us to order calamari. I ordered the #fhn fried chicken sandwich with a pulled pork poutine on the side. All in all it came out to be decent. Beer selection is decent (15+ options); the alcohol selection was decent, too, but my partner ordered a lemonade since we still had some driving to do. 2) FRESHNESS: 9/10. It was definitely freshly made, but I think (given the missing ingredients / inventory) this is a "must" given the few things they *did* have to be able to be ordered. 3) VALUE FOR MONEY: 8/10. All in, it came to $100 CAD after tax and tip. Definitely pricey, despite ordering a beer and two lemonades ($6 each lemonade... it had a lot of ice, so ouch). Portion size for the food was huge though - we ended up taking out some of the poutine and calamari since it was a lot bigger than expected. I would say don't bother ordering a shareable unless you have at least 3+ people - otherwise you're going to leave with leftovers. (Update: My partner ate the entire poutine leftover before we reached Calgary, and we both forgot about the calamari, so that ended up needing to be pitched. Whoops) 4) SERVICE: 8.5/10. Service was prompt, kind, and relatively good. I would have liked an inside seat to begin with, given how *not busy* this place was at lunch on a weekday, but it wasn't a bad experience. 5) CONSISTENCY / FIRST IMPRESSION: 9/10. We initially sat outside but wow was it hot the day we came (Thursday). We asked to sit at the bar and we were glad to be inside when it was very hot outside (think 25+ degrees Celsius). The place was fairly packed when we got there, but the bar (where we were seated) was basically empty by the time we were about to get up to leave.

Raspberry Dirtbag Lemonade. Homemade lemonade with soda, fresh, lemon, and raspberry vodka. SO good and refreshing.

We started our visit with signature cocktails. The Dirtbag lemonade and rose sangria were fresh and tasty!! From the moment we were welcomed by Ruby, who was a great server, we knew we were in for a treat! She was very attentive and very informative. She shared with us the favorite items on the menu, favorite drinks, etc. Everything was really really good. We shared Thai poutine, and each had a hamburger with house salad. the Mr. Bodangles burger was so good! Smash burger with onion twists, brie, bacon on artisan bun with a side of No 40 steak sauce. We each ordered house salads and didn't touch them. So full. Highly highly recommend this place, especially if you get the pleasure of having Ruby as your server. 10/10 recommend!

I've dined here multiple times and have given this restaurant more than enough chances before…read morefinally deciding to leave a review. There are certainly some good dishes, and the waitstaff have consistently been excellent. Always professional, attentive, friendly, and not intrusive. Unfortunately, the food quality and management experience have been inconsistent enough that I can no longer recommend this restaurant and am bothered enough to write a detailed review. The biggest recurring issue has been the steaks. I have personally sent steak back twice because it was extremely tough and cooked incorrectly, only for the replacement to still be disappointing. I've also experienced the same issue with people dining with me on previous visits. At this point, it feels less like an isolated mistake and more like a consistent kitchen and management attitude problem. Tonight was the experience that finally prompted me to write this review. My parents took us out for a birthday/anniversary dinner, and what should have been a special evening became extremely disappointing.. My boyfriend was initially served an entirely different dish from what he ordered. When his meatloaf eventually arrived, it came so late that most of the table had nearly finished eating. Unfortunately, it was not enjoyable. He described it as essentially a brick of ground beef, seared on both sides, with sauce poured over it. That is not what you expect from a restaurant at this price point. My dad ordered a medium-rare steak. It arrived barely pink, extremely tough, and difficult to cut and chew. He was eventually given another one, which was cooked more appropriately, but it was still very tough. His prawns and potatoes from the first plate were also served cold only steak warm. My mom ordered the butter chicken. Before even tasting it, the texture and appearance looked unusual. The sauce had an almost pumpkin-purée consistency and tasted predominantly of tomato and pumpkin, with very little of the spice, richness, or creaminess you would normally expect from a butter chicken dish--particularly at a higher-end or cuisine restaurant. (this dish is special from a chef who works there, was very excited to try it. I bet he makes it great) For balance, I ordered the AAA beef melt, and it was genuinely very good. So I know the kitchen is capable of producing food that hits the mark. That honestly makes the inconsistency more frustrating. The service from our waitress, however, was excellent. ALL of the waiters/waitresses, EVERY visit have been wonderful! She was attentive, professional, and clearly embarrassed and upset by what was happening despite having absolutely no responsibility for the kitchen's mistakes. We made a point of being polite and reassuring her that we understood it wasn't her fault, and we left her a cash tip directly to keep because we felt she deserved to know that her service was appreciated, she didn't cook the steak. the waitstaff deserve credit as they have consistently been the strongest part of our experiences here, but the repeated issues with steaks, incorrect and poorly executed dishes, cold food, and dismissive management have ultimately outweighed the positives. But what was particularly disappointing was the management response tonight compared to past visits. The manager was dismissive and, at one point, wouldn't even acknowledge my dad. Watching him sit there feeling genuinely disappointed during what was supposed to be a special family dinner, especially after almost losing him and the far drive for them to get here was incredibly uncomfortable and disappointing. After repeated problems with the food, the lack of accountability, empathy, or understanding from management was ultimately what left the worst impression. The bill was around $200 even after a 50% reduction on the steak and the food left uneaten from my father's plate. At that price point, mistakes can happen--but how they are handled matters just as much as the mistake itself. I have worked in kitchens before, so I understand that individual dishes can occasionally miss the mark especially when busy. I've also seen these same dishes prepared properly here, which makes the repeated inconsistency even more puzzling. My impression is that there may be a recurring issue somewhere in the kitchen with a specific person on the grill/prep process, because the problems seem too consistent to be random but it isn't every day. After tonight, we've decided not to return. That is a shame, because there is clearly potential here, and some of the food really is good. But a five-star restaurant comes with five-star expectations, and the food and management have simply not delivered that consistently, and unfortunately to my family not at all.

Our server was also the owner and he is an absolutely charming man with a great sense of humour. He took very good care of us. It was almost like eating at a friend's home. I had the breakfast special 2 slices of bacon, sausage or ham, 2 eggs, 2 pieces of toast and hashed brown potatoes for $6.99. My husband had a build you own omelette. All the food was excellent, the bacon was cooked crisp as requested, hashed brown potatoes were also nice and crisp. My husband's omelette was also very good. Instead of prepackaged jams the breakfast came with home made strawberry/rhubarb jam and marmalade. They were so good that we bought a bottle of the jam to take with us. It is very good value for the money. Thank you for giving us such a great start to our day - Mel and first wife.

She thought it should have been tossed together vs add little additions separately on top. She also did not like the brown old Brussels sprouts. Not good in any way. We had brought friends who were looking at possibly buying property and wanted to check it out but the experience them off maybe it was one off, the items were not that great such as the stirfry spaghetti and it was asked to put chicken inside that so there would be a protein. No chicken told about it once we finally got the waitress. She said oh we can go put chicken in it now, but that defeats the purpose if you were cooking a dish to order.
