Stopped into town while on vacation. We sat outside on a nice Thursday evening, was full but no wait. I had the hummus plate for dinner as the other vegetarian options were calling to me. I did really enjoy it and I tried someone else's mucky fries and it was really really good - I think I ate most of them! We were visiting the area and our host recommended this spot. The place was busy but we got a table outside. We were waited on pretty quickly. I ordered a curry dish and my friend a pasta "hot mess". Both dishes were plenty of food and looked good. They just didn't have much flavor. We both tried to salt each of our meals to make them have more flavor. Not sure what they are missing but the flavor wasn't there. I left a lot of my meal as I tired of eating it...the outdoors seating was nice. read more

One of my favourite places to eat. I've only ever had amazing food, and amazing service. The one downside (from a customer perspective) is they don't take reservations. It's understandable because they don't need to-that's how consistently busy/good they are! But, I come in from out of town, so as a customer it would be nice to be able to make a reservation. Beyond that, the food is worth the wait for a table! I've had the crab cakes, tacos, and mucky fries from the appy menu-all amazing. I've had the Cam burger, the Tuk Tuk, the Coup du Jour, the Happy Hanswich, and just today, the Kim Jong Yum. STOP THE PRESSES! The Kim Jong Yum is the singular BEST sandwich I've ever had. Perfect blend of savoury, sweet, salt, and the mix of textures was bang on. From the tender, flavourful beef, the salty melted cheese, the tender sautéed mushrooms, the crisp toasted yet soft baguette, to the added texture of kimchi and Korean bbq sauce. Seriously. Best. Fanatastic foodie place in tiny Kimberley. Great range of foods. Something for everyone. And the food is very chef-y too. Delicious Caveman Picnic with fried chicken, riblets, and amazing local sausages. The cocktail menu was great too - loved my Dark and Stormy and the boyfriend said his Old Fashioned was great. This is by far the best restaurant I've ever been to, I ordered the Hot Mess and it was so fresh and delicious, Pedal and Tap had amazing service, I ordered and and my food was there within three minutes! They are so kind and check in on you a lot. They have a huge variety of items on their menu! I ordered the Creme Brûlée for dessert and it was creamy and delicious! It's a hit every time! Come here early or be prepared to wait for at least half an hour, even on a weekday. This is the place to go if you want a good selection of beers, cocktails and food. The food menu is innovative with healthy and vegetarian options. The glory bowl is one of my favorite. It's filling and full of good ingredients. Even a half size is big enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Their spaghetti ball and meat sauce is an interesting one you won't get anywhere else. The pulled pork was juicy, but can be too greasy for some. The ambience here is trendy and fun. My bf and I love coming here with friends. Also their wide selection of craft beers is what keeps up coming back over and over again. read more

The portions were great and their good was very flavorful, my only gripes would be the very slow service and the indifferent attitude of the staff. I felt as thought they didn't care if we were there or not. If not for the great food this would be a deal breaker for me, we have great gastro pubs back home with friendly staff, maybe this one has no competitors and feels they don't need to try as hard, I dunno... Really amazing place...only complaint - make it bigger! Expand your patio. Love the décor...a beautiful mix of metal, wood, and beautiful Aspen trees. Trendy without be pretentious. Our sever was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Great selection of cocktails and beers. The menu is diverse without being too spread out and everything that I saw passing our table looked amazing. And the portions are more than generous. We started with the Island Hopper board. This is a selection of cured meats, chickpea fries, various dips, olives, and veggies and bread to accompany it. Everything was tasty. I have to say my husband loved all the cured meats (except maybe the ham sausage) and I loved the chickpea fries and the beet hummus. My husband had The Happy Hanswich - Pan fried pork schnitzel, roasted tomato sauce, fresh basil, mozzarella, and arugula on a locally made bun. He enjoyed it, particularly the large slab of meat between the bun. I had the Left Coast Crab Cakes -Ocean Wise blue crab, potato and herb-seasoned, fried and served with curried mayo. This was presented lovely. a palette of colors and textures. The crab cakes were excellent - full of flavourful crab and low on fillers that you often see in these dishes. I'm shocked, SHOCKED, that a place like this would exist in such a random and tiny town, hours from a large city. My family and I were here over the new years holiday and we ate here both nights we were in Kimberly. They have an extremely impressive list of wines, craft beer, and spirits, and all are fairly priced. They menu also has a lot of delicious options and both nights, all 4 of us were extremely satisfied with our food. The burgers and sandwiches are quite tasty, as are the mucky fries you can get them with (It's an extra $4, but they cover your fries in a chipotle gravy, bacon, and scallions-why NOT spend that extra money?). I had the pasta with brie and veggies and it was amazing. The quinoa bowl is really solid, as is the beef stew with dumplings. If I ever randomly find myself in Kimberly, BC again, I will certainly be back. Tip: There aren't a lot of good options in Kimberly, so this place gets busy-and stays busy-quite early in the evening. read more

Today I just got in the car and drove, ended up in Kimberly and found the most awesome pub/restaurant called the Pedal and Tap. - Probably 30 beers on tap, like 15 good scotch choices including one of my top 3 - Really yummy grub - The concept is amazing with garage doors that open the patio up to the full restaurant - They accommodate pretty much any food allergy or preference without the bat of an eyelid (gluten free, veg, vegan) - The service was bar none, Emily served me and is simply a star! As a side note, this is the first time that I've ever been so impressed that I've downloaded and app just so I could share my opinion. I wish that I could take this place and transport it to my city, it would become my local watering hole. read more

We had this place recommended by friends not knowing at all what it was - and we were so happy we listened! Great service, fantastic food, relaxed ambiance - good people watching. The only downside is that it was soooooo hot out it made it hard to eat all the amazing food we ordered! We got the Island Hopper board to start, everything was fresh and delicious. But my daughter and hubby stole all the bread and veggies so I didn't get to eat as much of the beet hummus as I wanted, the baba ganoush was not my fave but good. The tomato chutney on it was so good that my son tried to make me put it in my purse when we ran out of dippables. My hubby got the spaghettiballs (we had no idea they were "famous" from the "You Gotta eat Here" tv show) my son got the Tuk Tuk (pulled pork) sandwich with mucky fries and I got the Vegan Lightning - with grilled squid - and it was AMAZING. I detest tofu but whatever they did to it here was so good I ate it all. I don't even know how anyone could ever possibly finish the servings here - none of us finished, share a meal if you can't take home leftovers. Seriously, we are big eaters and we couldn't do it. They do have a small charge - 50 cents - for a to go container but you can bring your own so if you can I certainly recommend you do. read more

Clearly the local favorite, we stumbled on pasta (for Americans: pronounced "paaaa sta" in Canada) and beer night and it was packed. All paaaaasta $10. The place is surprisingly good for a small town and had some innovative dishes. The fish tacos were solid. The alcohol menu extensive. The spinach salad was good but massively overdressed, so you might ask for the dressing on the side. Our paaaasta Carbonara, recommended by the servers, was flavorful but not amazing when compared to great pasta restaurants. The penne was over cooked and too soft. Overall, we would happily eat here again but might try a nearby place first. read more

We were on a long cirque from seattle: kamloops, revelstoke, golden, banff, kimberly, and Spokane. Pedal and tap was by far the best restaurant we hit and by far the best value. A half portion of their pastas could feed most people at least twice and at $12 you cant go wrong. The spaghetti balls and meat sauce was spectacular. And best of all then have patio seating which meant we could sit outside with our dog (outside the fence, of course). Kimberly is a sleepy little town but pedal and tap was HOPPING and with great reason. Not sure when I'll be in this part of the world again but when I will be stopping here when I am. read more

For Kimberley, this place is the only watering hole you need to get to know. Ive been more than a handful of times and it's a great NEW spot. Great decor, fabulous menu that caters to Vegans/Veg-heads and meat-atarians. I've tried all the veg options and they're good. Amazing portions. I head out to Kimberley at least a couple of times per year and this place is always on the list to hunker down at for a few bevvies. This place was recommended by the Northstar Resort staff where we are staying. I loved the atmosphere and decor. The appetizers are huge! They are more like a meal. I had a great spinach salad, but was a little disappointed in it the over abundance of dressing. The dressing was tasty, but slightly overwhelming . My husband had taco salad and it was great! Again, very large portions. The beer list was large, but only 4 on tap. They were surprisingly good for Canadian beer, not historically known for microbrews. Nice to see Canada catching on to them. The only down side to the evening was our waitress kind of missed the point when we were ready to go. We had to chase her down to pay the bill. I don't think it was typical of the service. Perhaps she just had an off night. I will return to this restaurant when I am here again. read more

Hipster heaven. From afar it looks like a bike shop but that's only because they've nailed the bicycle theme. Inside, the cheap chairs and picnic tables might turn some off but it feeds perfectly into the hipster bike motif. The place seats 80, but get there early because it will fill up fast. Oddly, there are no condiments to be found on the tables. There are a variety of craft beers on tap which will run you about $6. We had crab cakes in curried mayo, and a pork and beef burger. The good comes with a great presentation and it was incredibly good. I cannot imagine anyone having complaints about the food, it was simply amazing. Stumbled upon this gem of a place!! They had so many selections of beer which went well with the steak sandwich. The "Mucky" fries with bacon was to die for and I inhaled it!!!
