02/14 response to your email regarding credit card issue..... Listen, I am not here to get into a huge debate with you over this, however common sense does tell us that if a credit card is left behind at a business that the owner would hopefully do the right thing. Regarding your police officer issue. If he stopped by in uniform.....possibly and that's a big IF I would have felt safe in releasing it.. Why couldn't the owner of the card drop back by the restaurant with photo ID and call it a day? I know the owner and it just doesn't sound as if that is who you were talking with, although listen stranger things have happened, especially in that area. I would just suggest that you take your photo ID with you and pick up card. I would think though at this point you would have just cancelled your card and ordered a new one. Let's be honest. It's literally a real live living horror film to even just drive in the area. Free entertainment I guess right? I pity anyone who can't escape the area. I hope it all worked out for you!!!! Stopped here while riding around the lake, the floor was dirty and the carpet was torn and nasty, but I was hot hungry and thirsty,ordered a combination pizza, while waiting for our food one of the guys from the kitchen came out to another table and his shorts were filthy and he was wipeing his hands on His ass, then I saw him go.to kitchen and pick up some bowls.of some.type of food with out washing his hands ,kinda bums me out , what I don't see doesn't bother me but that did,the only reason I gave three stars is because I will say I think it was the BEST combination pizza I have ever ate. I recently went up north from Sacramento to Clearlake Oaks. I found this restaraunt to be better than any of the pizza parlors in the Sacramento area. I ordered the combination pizza and the spicy barbecue chicken. I was not let down. Heaping fresh-tasting toppings, buttery crust, and fast friendly service. I couldn't ask for more. I understand the new owner has been there for only a few months and is in the process of turning the place into something special. Nothing in Clearlake Oaks looks nice, nor clean but the pizza is the best around the lake. I'm a pizza lover, and lucky to live nearby. They also never got my order wrong. I recommend this place. I don't eat there, I order and take out. I would have the appetite to eat inside. Too dark, and yes, dirty looking. But good pizza! read more

Kyle was killing it! We were here on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and they were the only place open for miles in either direction. Despite feeding every hungry tourist and local in town (see milling at once), Kyle had a smile on his face and was super friendly and hospitable. The pizza was also rather amazing and timely! They certainly don't skimp on toppings and the crust was cooked just right. I'll return for sure. Oh, and the root beer beer (you read that right!) on tap was a perfect compliment to the food. read more

We were going to try this place but when we got out of the car the storefront was covered with garbage and cigarette butts. Still went in, was told they carry 2 types of beer. Bud and Coors.. Let's be honest, we only stopped here because we were hungry and there was NOTHING else open. When we walked in I was very hesitant to eat here because of the shabby, dirty interior and the fact that there was no one else eating in there (granted it was 4pm or so). Also, it was in a run down city right next to a "smoke shop" and tattoo parlor. But, our growling bellies overpowered us so we ordered two small pizzas and sat down. It was then that I realized we were sitting in a dump. The "carpet" was dirty, ripped and tattered. It looked like there used to be more booths in the middle that they took out so there's frayed strips of carpet missing with bare concrete showing underneath. Their fix to the problem is to put a pool table on top of it. Um...still tacky. The wood on the booths was sticky and don't even get me started about the bathrooms (which you need a key to get into). But we didn't come there for the ambiance. We went for the food...which was surprisingly great (hence the two stars). My white sauce pizza was made just the way I like it and the crust wasn't over/under done. And my husband's combination pizza was good too. But the reason for the lack of stars is the fact that the place was dirty. If the lobby and eating area is disgusting, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. read more

Ordered a hamburger. First the good. Service is friendly and since it was afternoon, fast and love the bun, lightly crunchy roll. Now, the less good. The burger was overcooked for my taste. I know that one can't always get a medium rare anything but this was cooked to the point of being dry. As for lettuce, tomato and onion, the chopped variety just doesn't work on sandwiches, everything falls off the bun. Sliced tomatoes, leaf lettuce and sliced onion would improve the hamburger very much. Really very simple and I think, small adjustments. Rudy's Burgers now appears to be closed. Getting a decent burger in The Oaks shouldn't be as difficult as it is. read more

Visiting from out of town and my family and I wanted to grab a pizza for the evening after a day of fishing. This place has the highest star rating and it held to be true and accurate. We ordered a know extra large pepperoni pizza. A little on the pricey side at 28.00 with a 2liter soda, but it was definitely worth it!! In May or June of this year, I had to go to Santa Rosa. I ate toast for breakfast. When I got back I ordered two pizzas for pick-up one for myself and one for someone else. Whether the guy there is the owner or manager he is rude. One pizza salami/sausage the other pepperoni/sausage. I ate two small pizzas and my mouth was burning so bad I tried bread, milk and water. I called and spoke to the guy and asked what they did to my pizza. He asked me if I was from Spring Valley and did I order the jalapenose. I said no. He didn't care. I then started getting horrible heartburn. Next morning I woke up, ran to the bathroom and was throwing up violently. I got food poisoning from them for 3 days. All pizza was thrown away but kept a couple of pieces in freezer in case I ended up at the hospital. There was bad meat and cross contamination. The pizza parlor deserves no stars. Their disgusting and dirty. I told my son's friend don't but pizza from Firehouse. He said he stopped getting pizza there because everytime he ate the pizza his stomach burt. read more

Ordered pizza from here for the 1st time. Walking up to the front door I noticed how dirty and drab the front of the building and parking lot were. 1000's of cigarette butts were all over as if they figured the parking spaces in front of there door had absolutely nothing to do with their restaurant! Inside was worse. The floors were disgusting, tattered carpets, remnants of previous booths marked the floors under the pool table camouflage. There were tattered employee notice papers all wrinkled, crooked, and barely hanging on by tape all over the walls and nothing spoke to me about any pride of ownership or care for a decent ambience for their guests. The table benches were all sticky and you had to ask the cashier for a key to use the restroom because they keep them locked even though they're inside! While I was there, the only other patrons were a group of Hispanics shooting pool and listening to the juke box. The owner came out and told them all to leave and that this was a place of business and not a hangout. He told them to go down the street to the "Barn" if all that's what they want to do. He said it's for paying customers only. They didn't seem to understand much English so the owner asked to speak with an English speaking person. A young woman spoke with him. He reiterated what he was saying to them to her. She went to explain they had ordered food. He seemed to be telling her it wasn't enough and they had to buy more food but while I was there I saw the staff deliver 2 orders of wings, drinks, and a medium pizza. Then they ordered another large pizza. Who treats their customers like that? He was literally raising his voice and telling them to leave even though they had already ordered all that food... Onto my experience with this great staff. The owner rang me up and when they gave my order to go I noticed there was no ranch with my double order of wings. I asked if it was supposed to be included and he said yes but only 1! I said if 1 comes with a single order shouldn't I get 2 ranches with 2 orders? He said no. He said it doesn't matter how many orders, only 1 is free. What? 12 wings with 1 small plastic cup of dressing? We have 4 people eating and the order with pizza was nearly $40! We are supposed to share a dainty little cup and pass it around? Unbelievable! So I went ahead and purchased 3 extra ranches. I was sure hoping that the food itself would make up for this unpleasant experience. I opened the pizza box and what I saw was a flat, bland looking dough, as if it were meant to rise while cooking but lacked yeast or something. The topping and sauce were smeared around the center leaving bare crust nearly 1 1/2 to 2 inches around the entire pizza. I would guess an area about 1/3 of the total surface was bare. The ingredients were diced up into little pieces like a cheap frozen or gas station pizza. The dough was extremely tough and flat. I know that it definitely wasn't fresh dough. It was either frozen and thawed or several days old. Without exaggerating, most frozen pizzas like degorno or the like are much. much better for 75% less the cost as well as supermarkets have a much nicer environment! Now the wings... omg the wings. I opened the box and they smelled kinda rank. They were 1/2 cold, 1/2 too hot. They were some premade type with breading. It was clearly obvious that they were just microwaved. The frozen, breaded wings need to be baked or fried before adding the sauce. The breading was disgustingly mushy and only the tops had bbq sauce and the bottoms were grey mush because they were never browned first. So after all that we could not eat more then 1 slice each and a couple of us tried the wings but they were totally inedible. I can't even understand all the 5 star reviews. Does that say something about how it used to be or, if I were to guess, says more about those who gave the 5 stars. Pathetic! SUDDEN PRICE HIKE On 07-18-12 I order a pizzas by phone used a current menu from a VacationRental the price was $21.99.When I got to the pizza shack a blond girl stated the place is has a new owner and the price on the pizzas is $26.00.I look on the posted menu at the pizzas shack it clearly stated $21.99.Then I question her on the sudden price change and honoring the post price,she became very nervous.I didnt want no trouble,but I knew in my heart something wasn!t right she must be TWEAKING.A loyal customer deservre a loyal bussiness. read more

I ordered a large combination pizza to be delivered, they were there in about 15 minutes. The pizza was done just right, the flavors blended well. I will be a regular customer, can't wait to stop in and sample whatever else they have. This is the WORST pizza EVER!!! The crust was super thin, not cooked all the way even though I gave them a 45 min. notice for pick up! I will now drive into Clearlake to POGO's Pizza rather than eat this garbage! I have been ordering from Firehouse Pizza since the new people took over. It is so up and down on how their pizza is that you never know what to expect. The same goes for the delivery. Tonight I had the WORST pizza I have ever eaten. It was just plain terrible. The pizza before this one was great. The BBQ hot wings were good. I had a rude young man on the phone one time and I complained about him. That hasn't happened again and that's why I continued to order from them. They cannot give an approximate time for delivery. Last delivery was 25 minutes. I was told tonight 25 minutes. An hour and 5 minutes later I called and asked about the delivery. I was told the deliveries are no less than 50 minutes and the lady wanted to know who I spoke with. I said I didn't want to get anyone in trouble but if the pizza will be here shortly, that is fine. Needless to say I am disappointed with this place. I don't think I will be ordering again. read more
