I've had a lot of pizzas and this is by far is one of the best places I've tried and we loveee the crusts! My 83 yr old dad is always happy when I grab the keys and say,"hey dad, want to go pick up a pizza from Pogos?" Never fails he's up and ready to go and when I walk out after I've ordered and I come to his door to place it on his lap he's like a kid with a huge smile on his face! When our pizza finally arrived, it was delicious! Our guests were from Cincinnati where they can't find edible pizza. The crust is always soggy and limp. Pogo's was perfect, as always! We love going to Penny's place! Yup, Pogos Pizza or as we call it pie! Love going when greeted with Lysa's beautiful smile! Also, love she is cooking the pie. One of the only places open in town for food. We were in the area and wanted lunch. They have a shady patio and small indoor seating area. Only two ladies running the place. Both taking orders and making food. They were working hard to service the steady stream of customers. We ordered a veggie pizza, cheesy garlic bread, salads and a philly sandwich. The Greek pizza, no sausage, add jalapeños was a great pizza. The toppings were impressive for sure. My veggie-heads really enjoyed it and so much so that they carried their leftovers onto the plane. I'm not sure what happened to my review, but it looks like the review was swapped with a sushi restaurant. The pizza however was amazing. I had the GF pizza which I never have a reaction to from contamination. My family had a combination and it was also excellent. Great little pizzeria in the heart of Kelseyville. It was Saturday night when my family and I wanted a quick bite after a long day of family events and to our dismay, Pogo's wasn't picking up their phone to orders. Debating whether to bother or not, my dad and brother in law just drove over anyway and saw the large crowd eating in. The wait for the large, Hawaiian pizza was 20 mins, but once home to devour this, we weren't disappointed! We were collectively impressed with the generous amounts of pineapples! Pogo's is delish and when we're back in town, we'll come for more -- we see now what the fuss was all about! read more

This review is actually for the Lakeport location as they did not come up on Yelp but I couldn't pass up giving them a 5 star review. Hopefully they are owned by the same family. Now on to the review... We were looking for pizza and came upon Pogo's online. I called in and the lady on the phone was so polite and friendly. Already off to a good start. She said about 20 minutes for a small combo and personal pepperoni with olives which was good because the gps said 16 minutes to my destination. When I arrived I was greeted by the lady on the phone who said,"You must be Stacy" as I walked in the door. Excellent customer service!! I paid for my pizzas and she asked if I needed anything else and I was on my way. The pizzas were just as good as their service. They were still hot when we got back to the bnb and we loved the crispy thin crust. The toppings were fresh and they didn't skimp. We modified the combo by adding the ranch base. It wasn't overpowering and complimented the pizza. The little pizza had their marinara and it was very tasty. Sometimes marinaras can be bland on a pizza but this held its own and was a good addition to my pepperoni and olives. We had a few pieces left over which we wrapped in foil and took home with us and we tossed it in the oven for a little bit to heat up and it tasted as good as the first night. Pogo's PIzza was fine. We ate at the restaurant. We arrived around dinner time and every single table was dirty and none of the wait staff appeared interested in cleaning but when I asked they did clear a table out for us. I wouldn't recommend eating at the restaurant. They are attached to a brewery next door which has some good beer. The pizza itself was just okay. If you're really in the mood for pizza in Kelseyville it might hit the spot but if you are judgmental of your pizza I'd suggest looking elsewhere. read more

We stumbled upon this place while staying one night in lakeport on our way to another destination. So glad we did! They were crazy busy, but the service and food was incredible! Pogo's Pizza, Kelseyville site, is the best place to get pizza in all of Lake or Mendocino County- trust me it's worth the drive. But only the Kelseyville location. Don't go to the one in the Riv- their customer service is awful, the pizzas come out burnt but staff say "What do you want me to do?" when you point it out. I don't usually like pizza, but we drive up to Kelseyville from Jago Bay in order and pick up pizza from Pogo's because it's sooo good. Massive toppings, they're fresh, and they have a plethora of specials- especially the Bomb pizza. Yummmm. I dont think they deliver. But like I said, it's worth the drive. read more

We wanted to try Juicy's Pizza, but it was closed. For the only pizza spot open in the area on a Sunday night...they were poppin' and the employees were working so very hard. The wait was a bit, about 45-60minutes, so I recommend calling in to order ahead. Ordered a medium and went half/half of the beef tostada and polynesian. Both were quite tasty, the crust was pretty good. I heard folks ordering crispy, so I guess that's an option too. Generous on the toppings. Ain't nothing gourmet, but solid spot to fulfill your pizza cravings. Friendly staff. Would return if in the area. read more

I moved here a year ago. My first pogos pizza was great. However, over time, we discovered that quality varies a lot. At first, we used the Riviera location, but after a few really awful pizzas we switched to the Kelseyville location. Now the Kelseyville location is just as bad as the Riviera store. Disgusting!! 1- I witnessed the cashier received payment from a customer, then proceeded to get her lunch meal and ate something out of her meal box, then asked the cook if there was any pepperoncinis left. The cook behind the counter gave them to get her (green lid container) the woman then licked her fingers off and inserted her nasty fingers inside the container, she then added them to her meal. She sealed the container and handed it back to the cook. 2- To the woman with the ombre pink hair treats her teammates very poorly. I sat inside the store for about 20 minutes and all she does is belittle them! She also touches her hair, face and wipes her hands on her clothing and then continues continues to handle food. 3- The place is also extremely dirty! Dust, cobwebs, and debris everywhere. They have 2 tables, in one table they had a pile of flat boxes that they were building but got busy so customers and staff members were sitting on the table with the new flat boxes. These boxes will potentially hold your food. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible!!! - I will never return here! This place was AMAZING! Their food was fantastic! I ordered their club sandwich with potato salad, and the quality of the sandwich did not disappoint. The bread was fresh, veggies were crisp, and the meat was very flavorful. I loved the ambiance of the place, as well... very quaint and comfortable. The service was exceptional and friendly, and we were treated very well! The only downside of the entire experience was the timing of everything; it took almost 45 minutes for our food to be given to us. We had ordered a couple personal pizzas, small wings and a salad at around 5pm and asked for them to be ready at around 6:30pm. My wife was told by the cashier that's the order would be ready. My wife had went there and had waited till 7pm. The pizzas were gross absolutely too many toppings and the cheese wasn't even cooked. The garden salad my wife ordered was soggy and full of a bunch of crap as you can see from the picture below, and even had pineapples which she's allergic to. The wings weren't cooked properly. Don't go here unless if you feel like wasting money on food that will be 30 minutes passed the order time. read more

My wife and I stayed at Clearlake in September, traveling south from touring Crescent City, Eureka, Hwy 1, and decided to try this place on Main St. in Lakeport. WOW. We ate (and took leftovers of) the BEST PIZZA IN CALIFORNIA. We live in So. California, and have had them from all of the outlets - chain restaurants, Mom and Pop operations, etc. The deluxe pizza served here was EXCELLENT! I have been taking my nephew to Pogo pizza since he was five years old. I want to go in clear like I took them when they moved to Kelseyville and now I took him to the one in Lakeport he's 30 years old. He didn't want me to say anything but I couldn't let this go. They overcharged us dollar items at $1.50 each which I don't knowwhy I paid using my bankcard and I asked is there a fee they said no so I asked her both receipts and they do charge a fee to use your bank card we forgot to order ranch dressing. I went back nd they charged me three dollars for the ranch dressing. I paid cash. I didn't pay another One of the items we ordered did come with ranch dressing as part of the order so now I've been overcharged $9.47. I will not be going back there. They need to tell the customers what all these extra fees are for. It's a shame that I will no longer take my nephew there ever again nor can I recommend this place to anyone they should just tell the truth that they're charging fees and not misrepresent themselves to the customer I have both receipts and for that $9.47 they've lost a customer what is that used to be a great place to take the family to get together there for family events with his grandmother and his parents nephews and nieces and my siblings a shame to see their business go down. We've always tried to support our local businesses. They don't volunteer to give you the receipts by the way I think that's how they're getting away with it read more

Firstly, I've only seen women working which I applaud! Very nice to see a business promoting women in a small community. There is a bar next door and it can be quite busy with a huge outdoor seating, indoor seating as well. Right on the corner near the liquor store and across from the car shop. I admit that I'm a pizza snob. My father had a pizza shop as a second business. I don't love the pizza at Pogo's. My family likes it more than I but agree it's not high on their list. Lake County is limited so if you like pizza this is the place to go. There is another pizza shop in Kelseyville that I wouldn't recommend and Pogo's is much better. The locals love this place, 3 locations on the west side of the lake. The first time we had no issues, the other was disappointing because they clearly didn't make our pizza and offered one with a different topping. The 3rd time, we arrived about 5 mins after the time they said and then had us wait an extra 10 mins. The pizza dough is too thick for me and chewy/raw with not much flavor. The exterior is cooked but under the sauce needs longer in the oven. The sauce and toppings are fine. I haven't tried anything else. read more

When I moved to Kelseyville some years ago, I discovered Pogo's just down the street from where I live. My first trip there I got the supreme pizza. Wow! Fantastic. Perfectly cooked with a lightly cooked crust just the way I like it. And loaded with toppings! Over the next year or two I went to that location numerous times. Always the same great pizza. During the last two years since Covid, I have not been there, or any public restaurants. With the pandemic calming down I went back to Pogo's a month or so ago. Wow But this time not in a good way! The pie was way overcooked, the edges actually blackened. And the toppings were few and far between. I was out of town for some weeks and didn't have a chance to return for several weeks. I went in and tried them again, mentioning the problem with the last pizza. Same result: pizza way overcooked and sparse toppings. I see no point in trying this location again. In rememberance of how good the supreme pizza used to be, I am planning on trying one of their other two locations. If they disappoint I'll start again with my second favorite pizza spot, Roundtable. read more
