The service is pretty good and restaurants is clean and pleasant to sit to enjoy your meal, but the thing that really wins me over and keeps me going back is the hot sauce! I love fire house subs and I've been eating there for a very long time. Today I was disappointed and mildly disgusted when I walked into this particular location. As I walked in one of the employees was changing the liner to the trash can. I walked up to order from the front door hoping that this guy who had just been handling trash would wash his hands before I ordered. I began to order and when I noticed he did not wash his hands I decided it was best I went somewhere else. Dude just grabbed some gloves and was about to start making my sandwich. Obviously there's little chance the sandwich would have been contaminated, but c'mon. I found this unsanitary and very surprising. This is for firehouse Subs Patton Ave., Asheville, NC my first time to firehouse just moved here. I was greeted by a redhead with his ponytail. I ordered a medium Italian and took it home. It's one of the best subs I've ever eaten. He took time and made it perfectly. I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but I want to give him five stars. We stopped in at Firehouse Subs for some takeout since this stay at home Thing is cramping our style. I got turkey hoagie while my wife got the Italian hoagie. I got mine on a whole wheat roll which was tasty and made the hoagie even better. Lots of toppings including cheese, lettuce, tomato and onions. My wife's Italian hoagie was super good as well. I ordered my sandwiches through Uber Eats Pickup. When I went to pick up my sandwiches I sent my partner in to get them because we are in the middle of a pandemic and I am immune compromised. A very rude younger man proceeded to tell him there was no order for us, so I go inside and show it to him on my phone. This man tries to tell me I ordered uber eats to be delivered to me, when I am clearly showing my pickup order on my phone. He motions to our order, ready to go on the pickup table, then proceeds to tell my partner he is not taking our food. It was all very unprofessional and rude and we will never be returning to this establishment. read more

This review is for the Firehouse Subs on Patton Ave. My wife and I walked in, no other customers in the place. We were not greeted, and not acknowledged by the two employees who were bickering and fighting with each other out front and with an unseen person in the back. We stood there at the register waiting for at least five minutes for someone to take our order, but no one even noticed we were there. By this time another couple of customers had come in and were ignored too. We turned and walked out. Don't know if the other couple ever got their order or not. read more

This use to be my favorite place for a sub. Unfortunately after it's transition today I won't be going back. My daughter and I went to get our dinner and she requested a sub just like mine - olives and I also order one for my husband minus veggies the young lady asked me was onions considered a veggie as far as my husband sub I told her yes so no veggies at all we got home the only sub that was made correctly what's mine my daughter had a sub just like my husband with nothing on it but onions we called back to the store ask to speak to the manager whom the young man said he was manager after I told him the problem he put the lady on the phone that took the order and she wanted to argue with me that she made our order herself so I needed to bring myself all the way back for them to remake it which I told her I had no car at that point and I lived all the way in enka so there was no way to find a ride from enka to Patton avenue to remake something that she messed up so she told me is nothing she could do because she knew that she made the order right anyway which we watched and she didn't make us those there was a young lady who didn't even know that the sandwiches were supposed to be warm. After we, the wife and I, drove to the Firehouse Subs on Patton ordered 2 subs and waited for 20 minutes. There was one order being prepared before our order. They called our name and gave one sub. Looked at the receipt and noticed they charged us for one subs but 2 large drinks and 2 chips. The last they charged for 2 subs made one and noticed there were 2. The other took 30 minutes after the first one. So there will be no third time for this place to make another mistake. read more

I enjoy their subs, albeit on the pricey side. Been several times, and even though it always seems staffed, the tables are dirty and dining area could've been swept. Worse situation is being behind someone at the drink fountain. Firehouse uses the new coke machines that allow some 5,000 combinations but no one knows how to use them, or just stand in front of it wanting to look at every option. The Italian sub in my opinion is the best. I might sound negative but will still go back, and everyone should give them a try once. read more

So let me just start by saying that I'm only giving a rating of three out of five stars due to the fact of the matter that the employees do so much while serving their time on the clock. If it wasn't for them I would most definitely rate this a one out of five simply because of not management but just ONE manager. Karin or Corrine however you spell it.. as far as she goes I'm nowhere near pleased with anything she does whatsoever. First of all she's rude and very inconsiderate of not only her employees but her customers as well. She screams and yells at her employees and don't even think twice about it. I'm sorry but being a manager you have to have patience with every person you come in contact with within the store. Yes there will be times where a situation turns stressful but it's your duty as a manager to take care of the situations when they come about in a professional manner, not like a child who loves to yell. Also I don't feel like she's even responsible enough for the position shes in. Reason being is because her words that I've heard personally at her workplace told me so. Last time I checked you are suppose to care about whether or not your customers are satisfied. But she openly stated that she "don't care". That's a very poor attitude for a so called manager. Just to add to the list she's also quite lazy. Multiple times I have gone in there to eat and see new smiling faces and others that I've came to know well but never see her out except very little. She's not driven to do work as it should be done. She's what I'd know to be a"slacker". It's sad that one individual can change the Outlook on a whole team based setting. No hard feelings to the ones at Patton Firehouse subs who actually work. But all in all I feel that she was one of the poorest choices for a manager as far as I can see. I ordered over the phone and was placed on hold for a few minutes. No big deal. Might be a busy night. The guy just says "sup?" When he finally answers. I place my order (steak and cheese on white with only mushrooms mayo and american cheese) and am interrupted a bunch while he slowly records my order, which I repeated slowly 4 separate times. I repeat the order one final time after he tells me "it'll be like 9" me: "like...9 dollars or 9 minutes?" I get there and buy my order and repeat my order again to make sure they had gotten it right as I was pretty doubtful. The guy reassured me and I left. When I get home the thing has mustard, onions, green peppers and is on wheat. Really?! It was almost tasty and large enough to be worth the $10 but definitely not after messing up that simple of an order. Oh and get this: there was one person in the store eating and 3 people working.
