This might have been some of the best Cesar salad I've ever had and the pizza was very good as well. We placed a to go order on a Tuesday night it was ready before the estimated time. The person who helped us was really nice offering us plates , red pepper and silver ware . The total order came to 26 dollars for a large Cesar and small caprese pizza . The salad had the most freshest flavors . The crotons tasted homemade and everything was really good . The pizza with the crust and the cheese tasted excellent . We visited March 19, 2026. I ordered the house salad and it was one of the freshest salads I've had from a restaurant in a very long time. Also had fantastic homemade dressings. The ranch dressing was incredible. The pizza we ordered was also top notch. And a great size also. Toppings were just right. They did not skimp at all on the toppings, but also didn't overload it so that you could taste the flavor of the crust as well. Traveling from one place to home I found htis place based on the recommendation of a man at the check-in desk at the Hotel i was staying. I was going to eat alone, wanted pizza for an unknown reason and asked for recommendations. He gave me 2 and this was the place. I was staying at the Holiday inn but the GPS directions and neighborhoods nearly had me turning around. I was glad to have found the place. Their menu accommodated what i wanted. Which was a small pizza for one. The waitress was friendly and helped decide what it is they offered and would fit what i was looking for. The pizza was hot, well done and tasted good. The beer was cold and she was helpful in finding one because i was not local. I think I appreciated most was when I was there I did not feel rushed or out of place. Service and ambiance was once again no failure. I got the jambalaya pizza (consisting of Italian sausage, chicken, tomato, peppers, onions, and Cajun seasoning) on a GF crust with vegan cheese. The outer crust was crispy, but the inner crust could have been a little more so. There are a lot of good pizza places in Asheville and several really good ones, so for me it takes a lot for one to break out from the pack. Pizza Mind does. It's a small neighborhood pizza restaurant in West Asheville that definitely bunches above its size. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The converted auto garage has that West Asheville authentic and quirky vibe that we really love. Good selection of draft beers, most from local AVL breweries. But above all, it is the food that makes this place a 5 star. We ordered the beet ravioli appetizer. Lots of people say they don't like beets. They've probably only had pickled beets or beets that weren't well prepared. I actually love beets but had never had them in a ravioli, so we had to try this dish. The presentation was beautiful. Not something you'd expect from a little neighborhood pizza place. But the taste was amazing. The raviolis were filled with beets pureed with ricotta and goat cheese. The filling has a little sweetness from the beets that went super well with the cheeses. Then there was the pesto sauce and balsamic reduction. The way those interacted with the raviolis created a truly wonderful taste sensation. If you like beets -- or even if you think you don't -- I'd recommend this dish. We shared a (small) Green pizza. A really great pizza on so many levels. The crust was wonderfully browned and crispy without being burnt anywhere. It had big crunchy air pockets. The marinara sauce was tangy in just the right way. It was great to have a veggie pizza with a red sauce, as so many places seem to do a white sauce or no sauce with veggies. And the pizza was loaded with feta, artichoke hearts, broccoli, banana peppers and spinach. You could taste each item, even if you got a bite with several together. Soooo good. Reasonable prices. I went to Pizza Mind for the first time last week and it was alright. I went in on a Thursday evening to order 1 pizza and a round of beers. It took probably 30-35min for a waiter to come to us; we had to go to the bar to ask for water and to let them know we're ready to order. Swung by Pizza Mind for a quick snack on a Tuesday afternoon and was delighted with some good food. We opted for some of the patio seating outside and got to ordering. My wife got a small Caesar salad and really enjoyed it, noted how flavorful it was and liked the dressing as well. We then split the Doctor pizza with a sesame crust to make things more interesting. Visited with my kids while on vacation. Easy going atmosphere. Not anything fancy inside, but very clean (which is so important while dining with kids) and various photos/art on the wall. Kids had fun picking out a picture of their favorite dog/pup. Kiddos were excited about making and building their own pizza. They got already rolled out dough and containers with sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Then they got to work putting it together. Once pizza was picked up, it didn't take much time to bring it back fully baked. It was enough pizza for 2 kids. Kids all gave this place 5 stars - that's a win! Was looking for a place to grab a late lunch/early dinner on a Monday afternoon and there were very few available options in the immediate area but Pizza Mind was open and across the street from us. They have some interesting pizza options and the sandwiches looked appetizing on the menu as well. We split a small pizza and sandwich to try a few things. The Jambalaya pizza was quite good with the crust possibly being the best part. Was almost too thin in the center to successfully pickup slices with the hearty amount of toppings but the outside was cooked to crispy perfection. The Ashephilly Cheesesteak seemed like the winner and while the choice of pimento beer cheese sounded good it was a bit of a soupy mess to eat as the cheese was nearly liquid. I'd suggest going with the sharp provolone instead. They have some tabasco-based hot sauce you can ask for on the side but if you want to add any ranch dressing that'll cost a little extra (it's homemade). read more
