4 to a 4.5 Can I just first start by saying I really underestimated a medium, I was so full, I almost threw up eating the last bite. Yes, that's TMI but that's how full I was lol. I'm also probably just a weakling and shouldn't have forced myself to eat all that. Anyways, I have only heard good things about firehouse subs forever. Surprisingly, my bf has tried it before I have and he too raves about them. I finally had a chance to try a few bites from my friends' subs as they had ordered some through skip the dishes. I was blown away. I tried a few bites of the Italian and the Steak and Cheese and it was sooooo good. Also, for a bootleg Philly cheesesteak, which I know they do not claim to be, it was pretty good!! So a week later I was super craving my own and could not stop thinking about it. Thankfully for me, there's one an 8 minute drive away. Since I had such a good experience with the Italian that's what I decided to order. A medium. Also I had no idea you could add certain extra toppings at no fee, until my gf started ordering them lol next time. Anyways, somehow my friend's sub last week tasted so much better and it was delivery! Lol. Maybe it's because I got whole wheat. I need to make note to stick to white bread next time. The sub was still super tasty, packed with meat and fresh ingredients. I love their buns. They're the perfect softness. I hate buns that are hard and hurt my gums. Ya I'm sounding hella old. New restaurants often receive lots of hype, but it's not too often a restaurant chain does. However, word of Firehouse Subs has been making quite a bit of noise since they've entered the GTA market in the last year or so. Hype is great to generate buzz, but it can also lead to unrealistic expectations. I'm happy to report that Firehouse has completely met and even surpassed my high expectations. I'd heard great things about their meatball sub, so I went with that on my first visit. I had a couple years as a teenager loving meatball subs at Subway, but have since largely moved on due the sub-par meat quality. The meatball sub here is EXACTLY what you would look for in a proper meatball sub. The meat quality is top notch, and that along with the sauce really brings out a great homemade feel. And of course with a sandwich, you can't overlook the importance of the bun and Firehouse has knocked it out of the park in that regard. It should be noted that all subs are toasted here. They also ensure it's toasted thoroughly so it will take a few minutes for your sub to be finished. Beyond that, they only have a handful of toppings to choose from, and ones that are conducive for a toasted sub - so no lettuce, tomato and others. There are still a few others however, such as bell peppers, jalapenos and more. I wanted to wait for another visit before I gave my review since a meatball sub could be a bit easier for a toasted sub place to pull off. I came in today and ordered the beef brisket sandwich. They describe it as smoked for 16 hours, though obviously it wouldn't be the same as a brisket from a BBQ joint. The brisket is deli-style meat, but their fridge is on full display and you can see that it arrives whole, which means they would slice it fresh. Beyond that, once I received my sandwich and began to eat, it's clear that it's about the highest quality deli meat available. It was apparent from the look and the taste, and even the smoked quality was evident. I brought a co-worker on this visit and she absolutely loved her steak and cheese sandwich. It's all about the quality of the ingredients here which makes the sandwiches great. They are also well-staffed here to manage many customers and they're super-friendly. I'm not sure how much I buy into the firehouse theme or even the fundraising/philanthropy aspect of the business - but when the food is this good it doesn't even matter. read more

To be clear, this was a take-away order. Not a dine-in. I ordered a Pizza Meatball Sub, with extras that were Pepper Bacon and Mushrooms. My wife ordered the Beef Brisket and Cheddar sub. It was quick, the portions (we ordered large) were incredibly generous, my wife could only eat half - so now she has 2 meals for the price of one! In addition, I asked for an extra pickle and got 3. A very small, but thoughtful gesture. The price is a bit higher than somewhere like a Subway, or Mr. Sub, but is more comparable to Quizno's. Also like Quizno's there's 3 sizes - small, regular and large. What sets Firehouse apart for me, is the quality. This isn't the first time I've eaten there, but the quality of both of our subs compelled me to share the experience. The pepperoni were enormous. The meatballs and mushrooms filled out a sub so large I needed to get a plate! The cheese and sauce were so flavourful I just couldn't put it down until I was done. If you love subs and don't mind paying a little more for a lot more in quality, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't regret it. read more

We have ordered Ubereats from here a few times and every time it has been flawless. Everything is so fresh. The bread is very good. The ingredients are all fresh. The meat is cut super thin but they layer it on nice and thick. The mustard sauce they put in their sandwiches is so good. The orders are always correct. The meatball sub wasn't soggy or sloppy. The meatballs tasted homemade. It tasted like a home made meatball sub that Nonna would make. Delish. If you are in the area and have a chance to stop in here do it. You won't be disappointed. We had a late lunch and ordered a medium rueben and a medium beef brisket. Counted seven staff on hand to look after us. A little on the pricey side for two subs (just under $25.00) Took it home to enjoy and we were impressed by the packaging. Cool idea of having a dill pickle packed in a plastic bag so as not to soak into your sub! The pickle was, however one of the toughest I've ever experienced... tasted good, but the skin was thick. The Rueben was the better of the two... nice combination of flavours and generous filling. The beef one was a little skimpy by comparison, and both the rolls could've been fresher. Not bad... will try again soon for something different off the menu. read more

Never been to any if its locations except now. Probably stupid to order a salad at a submarine sandwich restaurant, but I was surprised. I ordered a chopped salad with grilled chicken. The decor was clean and bright. Lots of seating available with firefighter paraphernalia around. The salad was really good. The ingredients were fresh and the portions were large. Much better quality and quantity than other competitors. The only thing is the grilled chicken could be warmer. Other than that I recommend the salad. read more

Fire house subs in Brampton Ontario are just as good as those that we enjoy back in the US. I was happy to find this establishment . Clearly, the food did not disappoint. It may be a chain but much it is nicer than most sub-shop chains. It's always nice to support the men and women who fight fires as well!! read more

This was my first time at Firehouse Subs and they didn't dissapoint. The staff are super friendly and very attentive. I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Turkey. Love how you get a number and they bring your order to you. The sandwich itself was really good, although the Jerk sauce was just OK. They have a pretty extensive offering of self-serve hot sauces that you can have with your meal. I'd definitely come back here! read more

We wandered in on a Sunday afternoon after church, looking for something quick. My plan was to buy the kids a sub to split, but get my own lunch from the pita place next door. As we were looking at the menu, Isaiah snuck up behind us and crowned the kids with fire chief hats, and I knew we were all eating subs that day. The food itself was a cut above the average sub chain with lots of ingredients that we chose not to customize, and they were both excellent. We tried their house drink, which was fun but not crazy. Isaiah did a great job of taking us through this place's "deal" before we ordered. We will definitely be back. read more

Yummy yummy yummy. Such a friendly place when you go in. It's bright, cheerful and very clean. Their food is fresh amd soooo good. I always get the brisket and cheddar, its melt in your mouth good. This place puts the DELI in deli-cious! Oh my the meat and toppings! I came here a couple weeks ago to try it out for my first time and I was hooked on my first bite! I decided today that I would treat myself and offered to pick some up for my coworkers and they all absolutely adored it! We will all be back for sure! My ONLY reason for not voting 5-stars is simply because I agree the pricing may be slightly on the higher side BUT, you are definitely paying for quality AND quantity here! A whole pound of meat on a large sub, that's a lot! My only other thing is, I used the website this time to order the subs. We ordered 6 in total at approximately 12:17pm, the website confirmed that the order would be ready by 12:28 but, it wasn't ready until nearly 12:40. I mean sure, it's only 12 minutes more than what was specified but, you all know Brampton traffic... Great customer service!!!! As for the menu pricing affordable, good selection of subs. I ordered the firehouse meatball sub, fresh bun authentic meatballs topped with marinara sauce, melted provolone cheese, Italian seasonings. The staff served me with table service, authentic meats, bbq smoked meats in-house, One of the best subs that I have ever eaten! Way better than subway restaurant. We went there on October 10th for dinner. Worst food and service i have ever recieved at a Firehouse Sub Store. my sub was not eatable and i threw it out. the staff were not at all helpful or nice. Another customer has a sub made completly wrong and they argues that it was done the way she ordered it. Nice enough place. Staff are very friendly, greet you when you enter, very pleasant through the whole experience. That being said lets get to the nitty gritty. I find it a bit expensive for what you get. I don't know if it is an option or not but I would like some veggies on my sub. I tried the New York Steamer and then the Beef Cheddar and the flavours seemed to meld together a bit too much. Takes a long time to actually get your sub. I went on my lunch break and didn't actually have much if any time to eat it. One very nice touch is the hot sauce options. This is by far the best sub place. The service is great always smiling, and they welcome you as you walk in. no matter which location you go to. Ive gone to milton, brampton and mississauga (courtney park) area and its is just delicious every time, the meat is top notch meat and the bread is great, It's more expensive then your normal sub shop but the meat is 10x better, i cant even look at subway or mr sub anymore. Would recommend the meatball sub, or smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket. I havent tried a bad sub from here and I've tried almost all of them. The only sub i have a minor problem with was the italian because the honey smoked ham has a strong flavour but I'd still eat it no problem. read more
