I ordered food delivered because I have been too sick to cook. I ordered a salad, pastrami sandwich, and a bag of chips. My bad of chips were missing. my salad was correct in which I asked for no chicken, but my lettuce was brown and the tomatoes were translucent. Our sandwich had so much Mayo on both sides of the bread, I couldn't wipe it off. Lol, I saw the review about the soggy sandwiches but didn't believe it until I got one myself. I have always heard good things about firehouse subs, so I decided to try. We spent $35 and didn't want to eat any of it. Just not a fan and don't think We'll ever be. read more

Noone works there....I walked in the door and to the counter. The location had 3 people sitting in the dining area and 1 standing at the coke machine. 3 young gals working behind the counter. No-one ever acknowledged me....after standing there at the cash register for almost 5 minutes, I left....not a word from anyone.....terrible service! read more

This is kind a competitor to Subway and thank you very much for being open on Sunday near Gaffney. The staff was great. Everyone welcomes you when you walk in. So why two stars? 1. Mediocre bread. It looks good but it mushy and the crust is for show, not crunch. 2. The ingredients were bland. I survived four years as an undergrad living on hoagies in Philly. Other than the shape, these subs have nothing in common with a hoagie. (Nor do Subways subs for that matter.) That said, mushy, bland subs are apparently what America wants. 3. My husband and I ordered ahead online, and the sandwiches were ready after 10 minutes. The outside of the building isn't anything special, but the inside is quite nice and includes a spectacular modern coke machine. I got the tuna salad sub, which was extremely good, and all the sandwiches come with a pickle. I'd say that compared to Jimmy Johns, the food is just slightly better here but it's definitely more expensive. read more

We stopped in early yesterday evening. I was the only customer ordering, the other group inside already had their food. It still took 10 minutes to get a large steak and cheese and a medium hero sub, which along with 2 med drinks for $23.84 was on the expensive side to me. Customer service is the normal uninspired for the most part when you have teens and younger people that have to tolerate customers interrupting their conversations and mobile phone time ( maybe the franchise owner could take a lesson from Chick-fil-A's selection processes who always seem to be able to find smiling faces and outgoing personable people). It was not unfriendly, but not friendly either. I was trained and taught over 50 years ago that carrying on a conversation with co-workers while you're waiting on a customer was the epitome of rudeness and I maintained that philosophy in several retail businesses that I owned. Maybe times have changed to where it's considered acceptable to make a customer feel secondary instead of putting your personal conversation on hold while you're waiting on a customer. I'll have to say the subs are always very good every time I've been there and they've been tasty and the Coke Freestyle machine is a big bonus, but I think it's overpriced compared to some other places. It still has a ways to go to catch up with Monster Subs or my all-time favorite which is Publix Deli Subs which is the best value out there.. but at least they're MUCH better than Subway, where I haven't wasted any money there in many years. I do like the cookies and fudge brownies, most of the time when I stop there in the evenings they're running low or out of some of them which I can understand when you want to keep items fresh. I live very close to the location and pass there at least twice a day. read more

Great subs but they can be a bit soggy sometimes. Staff has always been friendly when we've gone in - even the teens working there. Restaurant has always been clean from what I've seen. We like the assortment of hot sauces they have on the counter to chose from. They label them with a number coinciding with how hot they are. The coke machine is nice. We pulled off interstate to eat at Firehouse, which is always a great experience. This place is a disaster! Staff standing around on their phone; floors a mess; no ice in drink dispenser; and a pugent smell in the restaurant. To boot, sandwiches falling apart when delivered. Stay away from this Firehouse! I have never been to a Firehouse Subs before so I don't know if they are all this good. The Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. If they got their bread game on point they could shut every other shop down. Miss Vickie's chips are the worse. Only 1.3oz per bag. Jimmy Johns has 2.0oz in a bag. Get it together! One other drawback- if you're gonna have like 50 bottles of sauce, one should be ketchup. read more

The service is always good, the food usually takes a bit but you always know they're making it on the spot, as a sandwich lover I can say that Firehouse as a whole is in my top three places to get sub-sandwiches, this particular location can be a hit or a miss on the food sometimes and that's why it's only three stars instead of four. But if you're ever hungry and spot a Firehouse going by, make a quick U-turn and get yourself a delicious sub sandwich, I honestly can't give their food a high enough praise. read more

I went to this Firehouse on the way down to Atlanta. The location is pretty convenient, about a mile off of the highway, and it's next to an ABC store (uhh...). Not very hard to find. The place is very nice, and the service is typical Firehouse, very good. It was pretty busy for 2 o clock on a Sunday. The Coca-Cola Freestyle machine disappointed as usual--it just doesn't taste like soda. The sub came out relatively fast, and was consistent to the quality in Charlotte, which is very good. I would definitely stop here again if I was on 85 for a road trip. read more

I am a fan of sub sandwiches and when on the road I love to try different shops to see if they have any unique sauces or recipes. When in town on two different occasions I stopped by to get a bite to eat. Unfortunately I wasn't very impressed with this location. Subs were alright, really if you make them fresh they should be. The problem I had was the speed of the service as it was so slow. Was it slow enough to give them a bad review? I'll let you decide. So hopefully things go better for you but if not make sure you allocate enough time. read more
