Took the family (3 adults and 3 kiddos) to Firehouse Subs in Hendersonville after a basketball game at the Boys & Girls Club. My expectations were low since this particular restaurant was rated only 2 1/2 stars. We went at 8:00 pm on a Monday night. I don't remember eating at a FS before. As a mother of 3 sons and 4 grandsons, it's hard to believe. It's decorated with-of course-a firehouse theme...which would be a hit with any little boy. (Sorry I didn't take any pics!) The staff here was nice and we received our subs in a timely manner. The subs were good. It's times like this I wish we had a different rating system. Unfortunately I usually love Firehouse but this was a bad experience. The food inspector was there and apparently they had an employee callout. The food took about 20 minutes. The good news is the cashier did alert us of the issues they were having. read more

Literally the worst customer service i've ever experienced in my life. Hate this place and will never come back. I am not difficult, and these people act like everything is a chore. Always something weird about this location. Always. Another unhappy customer with a completely botched order. Last time, I didn't say anything, but now it's starting to feel intentional. Show me where in the sub build for the Turkey Bacon Ranch it says "spicy mustard" because that's what I got for some reason. I guess my request to remove the mayonnaise was profoundly offensive to the sandwich makers, or maybe it was the cucumbers, I don't know, but I'm also allergic to onions and they threw that on too despite I selected "none" in the order process. I tip every time, I work in food retail, I get it. But the ingredients are literally in the name, so what's the deal? Topping things off, I called to request a refund for the sandwich I can't eat now because it's slathered in onions but the #3 extension for the manager rings and rings and rings...and then brings you to a voicemail box that informs you it has NOT BEEN REGISTERED, and then hangs up. I tried the other 2 options over the phone to no avail, hung up on every time. There is absolutely no way of reaching this store over the phone. Brilliant business practice. Evidently the manager has no more interest in satisfying customers than the darlings who botched my sub. All I wanted was a taste of my favorite sub from my favorite sub place, a place I enjoyed since childhood in Orlando FL. Now I'm left never wanting to return to ANY Firehouse, because it appears to me that corporate has no interest in ensuring the satisfaction of its customers, nor taking the time to execute proper training and hiring of its staff. This place has REALLY turned around in the past few months under new management! Joint was clean, everything was stocked by the drink machine, and employees were SUPER friendly! My brisket sando was amazing and I will definitely be back:) read more

Not my usual lunch spot but went in the other day I got anew your steamer with olives added it was absolutly delicious And special thanks to Summer the cashier taking my order she helped me decide on my dinner that day. Yuk, who puts honey ham on an Italian sub? Firehouse subs, I guess and if you like that, then they do load it on. I don't understand why it's so difficult to find a real Italian sub in Hendersonville, especially on that side of town. Good food, friendly employees and unless it's rush hour meals are sent out in less than 6 minutes. The only time I've had to wait ten minutes or longer was when the line was out the door upon arrival. read more

Wow...what an awful experience. Do NOT go here with a service animal!! The manager waited on us and was so offensive, did not know the law regarding service animals and told us we had to eat outside!! And then made snide remarks when he brought our food! Firehouse Subs is a great place to eat especially if your looking for a good sub. Messy, tasty, and overall a good experience for all. It's a good place to eat and definitely will be coming back for their meatball subs. The service is good as long as you catch them in a good time. This is a great little spot for lunch or dinner in Hendersonville. They are famous for their Hook & Ladder, but their meatball sub is the best I've had. They have a digital soda machine with more options than I can count. You can make (nearly) infinite soda creations. With catered orders over $50, you get free delivery. It's a super clean store and Whitney, the store manager is amazing and runs a tight ship. The staff are fast and courteous and there are regulars who don't even have to tell them what they want. They also do a lot for charity, which is a big deal when I consider where I spend my money. read more

Firehouse subs is like the 5 star restaurant version of subway. Or so I thought... After ordering, it took the staff about 15 minutes to make my large veggie sub. I didn't mind the wait too much... but I do admit I was expecting a little faster service since I was the only person in the building waiting for food. I decided to over look it and when I got my sub I chowed down... until I realized the odd meaty flavor. I opened my "veggie" sub up and sure enough. There were slices of turkey here and there. Not a whole lot. But just enough to douse my appetite and my love for firehouse subs. I don't know if it was just a bad day for them or if this kind of thing happens pretty often. Regardless, I won't be going back and I don't recommend this particular location to people craving firehouse subs. read more

Absolutely awful! Made several of our sandwiches wrong. When I showed the manager, he told his employee to throw the sandwich in the garbage because "customers lie about wrong orders to get an extra sandwich." One sandwich they had to make 3 times and it was still wrong. read more

Two of the employees were not wearing a mask despite there being a statewide mandate during a pandemic - one of whom was chewing tobacco. The last time we had been here was years ago, when we left before being served because an employee was playing with a knife, cut his finger, and continued to make sandwiches despite bleeding through his glove. They didn't get my order correct (twice). I didn't find out until back at home ready to eat. I hate to dissect the sub right in front of them... The girl who took my order wasn't the least bit friendly. Acted as if I interrupted her talking to another "male" employee. I won't be back...
