The family looks like a melting pot of people from all over, with the central tree in the restaurant bearing arrow signs of their various origins. Cincinnati, St. Croix, and Mexico city are represented. In general, the restaurant has a great feel. I order one of their versions of a reuben, they had a few different takes, this one seems the most like a classic. It was delicious, great decision. Good amount of meat, kraut, tasty dressing, nicely buttered and grilled rye. I opted for the slight upcharge and got fries with my sandwich, they were nicely crisp on the outside and very tasty. And finally when she was clearing our plates she made a point to say "since the ticking time bomb (once again referring to the baby) hasn't gone off do you want dessert?" There is never any reason to be negative and dismissive of patrons, but she made it a point to do so multiple times. The couple seated at the next table were locals and regular customers who had not seen that same server in a while. I know this because she sat down with them at the table and had a catch up conversation to include specific and intimate details of her recent surgery and medical issues to include the phrase "I'm a free bleeder."
