I went last Friday with my brother and got the reuben and potato salad, so yum, then today I had another hankering and got the club with potato salad again. I am a potato salad lover and theirs is great. I don't normally even love the taste of wheat bread but there's is delicious and their sandwich making is fast and on point. Got take out on our trip to North Carolina. So many restaurants were closed in Hendersonville on a Tuesday night. Luckily we found Monte's. We shared a Jedi Order Wrap. It had a generous portion of Turkey, Millennium Falcon mustard, avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and marinated onions. Big enough to share. We also shared a chef salad. It had the usual ham, turkey, cheese, tomatoes, onions and of course lettuce. With a big cookie it was about $22. Location is in a shopping area of a few shops. Easy parking. read more

Well above a typical sandwich shop, Monte's serves delicious Boar's Head meat and cheese along with fresh bread options and great condiments, all made to order and while you wait. The line moves very quickly and there is plenty of seating. The staff is extremely friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I sure can't think of a better sandwich shop in the area. read more

Stopped in for a to go order subs for home. Nice attentive personnel, clean surroundings the even have a craft bar with limited craft beer in adjacent room from dining area. Got two Cuban subs, they were spot on good and nice crusty roll plenty of meat and pickles. We both agreed these were the best Cubans we have had since moving here from Fla. In a word, outstanding. We shot a profile of the business. This shooter and my soundman both agree the subs here are outstanding. Many sub shops place bits of meat on the sandwich in carefully measured micrograms, Monte's just loads on the goodies. These are true, two handed, subs. We really enjoyed finding this place. First, I like the cell phone rule. If you're paying attention to your phone, they will had hot peppers to your sub! The staff was very friendly! Otherwise, they have great subs. Know what you're ordering because they have huge ones also! My only complaint is that I wish they had better bread. It looks like the bread you get from Sam's and doesn't taste amazing. That wouldn't stop me from returning. Great value for the money. read more

Been to this place a few times, I love the veggie subs but I two time I have bought soup and they stated it's vegetarian base and it's not. Otherwise, it's good! To your response Monique R. We have been huge fans since they opened, in fact they catered our daughter's Sweet 16 almost 5 years ago (pfluffernutter bacon paninis anyone). Everything is amazing but their Italian Sub actually surpasses LaSpada in Lauderdale by the Sea, FL which is almost heresy to say. Not sure what I missed. Came here on the recommendation of coworkers who live in the area and frequent the place. I ordered an antipasto salad which was good. Not stellar tho. The thing that got me was that I had walked in with a hich expectation of customer service that never surfaced. I was greeted with something of a bothered attitude and the apparent stress of the moment was playing into all three staff associates. Clearly they have regulars that are well known by name. Well prior to Saturday I had not had the pleasure of Monte's . My boss ordered lunch for the crew and my choice was the Monte Cristo and Loaded Potato Salad. Holy Moly or should I say Holy Monte! That was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, perfect crunch outside, tremendous combination inside. The Potato salad was something I've strived for in my own kitchen. I can't wait to actually go visit these guys myself, and that's the only reason for the 4 stars, I'll see soon if it goes up. Nice job Monte's! read more

They make a good sub here. Customer service isn't the best, though. One girl asked me if I wanted mayo and mustard, which I replied, "no just mustard". She put mayo on it anyway. While waiting in line to get my toppings, another girl said "hey, do you want hot peppers on your food?" (Because I was looking at my phone.) They have a sign that says "if you're paying attention to your phone and not to us, we will put hot peppers on your food". I'm from West Palm Beach, Fl and let me just say this is my favorite sub, EVER. I originally wasn't going to eat here. We stopped for my husband who was craving a sub.
